Turkey: Russian couple arrested for kissing in mosque, face prison for ‘insulting religious values’

The principle is always and everywhere the same: in Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to Muslim sensibilities. And in non-Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to Muslim sensibilities.

A Russian couple who traveled to Turkey for vacation were arrested after they kissed inside the Çamlıca Mosque in Istanbul. The tourists were in the inner courtyard and decided to hug and kiss, provoking strong anger among those present.

Police arrested the tourists, who are now awaiting trial. The charge is serious: insulting “religious values.”

Under Turkish law, this offense carries a prison sentence of 6 months to 1 year….

  3. Kissing in a mosque is a crime, but mullah’s sexually touching young boys and girls inside the mosque when teaching them to recite their book of demon filth is perfectly ok. Islam is a sick, evil, perverted, pedo, necro, violent and murderous cult pretending to be a religion.

    • Very good description of islam which is a load of filthy garbage. If only the majority of non Muslims would realise how evil islam is we would give Islam the treatment it deserves.

  4. There are a few things I’m not getting from this story, since there are no more details in the Tovima website from where it was taken:

    ⮞ When they say “Russian”, are they talking ethnic Russian non-muslim (Russkie) or a citizen of Russia who may be of any ethnicity and may be muslim as well (Rossyana)? Were the couple muslims? If yes, are they unaware of rules in mosques? And if they weren’t, why did they enter a mosque?
    ⮞ They mentioned that it was the inner courtyard of the mosque, but I was under the impression that people are supposed to remove their shoes before entering a mosque. Yet, the people there all seemed to be wearing shoes, and at 0:10 one kid was on a 🛴. Are those allowed in mosques?

    I think most Russians are agnostic, rather than either Russian Orthodox or Atheist, but they should familiarize themselves w/ islamic rules before deciding to tour an islamic country & entering a mosque. Maybe they would have done better going to Samarqand instead of Istanbul and doing this

    • Lots of non-Muslims visit Mosques in Muslim countries, just as many non-Christans visit Churchs in Christian nations–out of an interest in history or architechture. Of course this is very foolish in Dar-al-Islam..

      • Depends on what exactly is the function of a church or mosque or temple. Is it a place of prayer/worship or a tourist spot? My understanding is that it’s the former, not the latter. In which case, the only people who should enter any such particular place would be actual believers. For instance, if one does not believe in Vishnu, why enter a Vaishnav temple?

        I completely disagree w/ those who think houses of worship should be open to all, rather than just believers in that particular faith

    Kissng–can be up to a year in prison. But raping Infidels is perfectly Halal. God, I hate Islam.
