Vilified as a “racist” and “Islamophobe” and a “far-right” lager lout, Tommy Robinson turns out to be none of those things. Recently he gave an interview to the Jerusalem Post in which he discusses, among other things, his support for Israel, his alarm about the Jewish state losing the public relations battle, and his anxiety over the epidemic of antisemitism. Tommy Robinson has been a deeply divisive figure in British politics since the rise of the English Defense League in the early 2010s. His detractors have labeled him a “white supremacist” and an “Islamophobe,” while his supporters have hailed him as the only person speaking truth to power over mass migration and radical Islam.
This division has, naturally, stretched into the British Jewish community. Yet as the crisis of security for the British Jewish community has worsened, in particular since October 7, when antisemitism exploded across the UK, more and more British Jews have warmed to the formerly untouchable Tommy Robinson.
The British media, especially the BBC and the Guardian, have for a long time depicted Robinson as a crude far-right racist, and of course, as a working-class boy, not entitled to be heard by the Oxbridge journalists at both media outlets. The perfectly sensible views expressed by Tommy Robinson remained largely unreported, as they undermined the caricature of Robinson that the mainstream media was presenting. But now, with alarm growing over the increasing Muslim presence in the U.K., more people are willing to listen to Robinson’s main themes: that Muslim migration to the U.K. is a threat to the cohesion of British society, a burden on British taxpayers who must pay for all the benefits lavished upon these migrants, and the cause of a steep rise in crime including, of course, the Pakistani grooming gangs that have ruined the lives of tens of thousands of British girls.
A sign that the calumny of Robinson is no longer working is his successfully organizing and heading a “Unite the Kingdom” rally in London, with those taking part expressing their opposition to Muslim migration and asserting their own, British identity, that was attended by a reported 150,000 people and almost certainly many more than that, one of the largest rallies in recent years.
The Jerusalem Post sat down with Robinson following the Unite the Kingdom rally, which drew unprecedented crowds. The rally, which saw attendees march the streets of London holding the Union Jack, occurred during a period in which deep controversy had been sparked over the lack of prominence for the British and English flags, while Palestinian flags are present in many areas.
The rally saw marchers carry not only the Union Jack but also the national flags of England, Scotland, and Wales. However, one non-British flag was prominent: the Israeli flag could be spotted regularly throughout the march, carried both by Jew and gentile alike, with some carrying the flag in support of Israel and the hostages, while others said they had had enough of the constant pro-Palestine protests and wanted to show there was opposition to them.
Despite the accusations of white supremacism, Robinson expressed his support not only for the Jewish community but also for Israel, saying, “There are 55 Muslim states, why can’t the Jews have one?”…
And he might have added that the Arabs have 22 states. Why should tiny Israel be forced to give up territory to create a 23rd Arab state that would only threaten its existence? Or, worse still, be expected to disappear altogether, as the Palestinians demand, to be replaced by that twenty-third Arab state?
Robinson feels Israel is losing the diplomatic battle, but laments that it is an uphill battle against Qatari and Iranian money, which is flooding into the West, infiltrating social media and academia.
He sharply criticized so-called influencers who claimed they had converted to Islam as being part of the Qatari propaganda network designed to promote and spread Islam.
Robinson is one of the few political figures in the West who has not been taken in by Qatar’s double game, as a supposed “friend and ally” of the West (which is what the media call it), because it has allowed the Americans to use the Al-Udeid airbase, and has offered its services as a supposedly neutral mediator between Hamas and Israel. He knows that Qatar is the most important financier of Hamas, as well as providing luxurious refuge to the leaders of the terror group, and that in addition, Qatar has been a financial supporter of a half-dozen other terrorist groups, including ISIS and Al-Qaeda. Qatar is the main state funder of the Muslim Brotherhood, building mosques and paying the salaries of jihadist imams, and also pays for efforts in the West to increase conversions to Islam.
Does Tommy Robinson sound like a “racist” to you? Or a lower-class lager lout? No, he is clear-headed, far more so than Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and as the “Unite the Kingdom” rally in London showed, many people who were once fooled by the media into thinking the worst of him, now appreciate his forthrightness on the malign effects of Muslim economic migrants in the U.K. In the past he has run for office — hoping to become a member of the European Parliament — with disastrous results. Perhaps now he should try again, but this time running for the British Parliament.

He truly is a wonderful man. He faced many things; his own country put him in jail for telling the truth. Now the people know they need him to save Britain but do the police save Britain. No the police do not and they could do a lot. What happened to the police–perhaps lazy. Stick with Tommy you Brits as you surely need him. It would be helpful if as many people as possible could view Tommy at the Oxford Union and his interview with Jeremy Paxman. He was truly inspirational. I fear he has been bent out of shape by his time as a political prisoner and the repetitive cyclic stress of being arrested and released. If history belongs to the victor and I believe that will be us, he will be there with Martel and Sobietski.

People on here may not like to hear this but while Islam is the most obvious and dangerous threat it is sholud not hide the damage which has been, and as being done, to Britain by the importation paritcularly of third world peoples.

Tommy Robinson is and has been very underestimated.
This man is very intelligent and has been consistent in what he has been saying for years. More than that he is smart, he is tactical. He is massively courageous and self sacrificing.
It helps that he tells the simple truth – as he sees it – and it is difficult to catch a person out who does that.
He has charisma. He inspires millions.
The recent big rally, according to Met police estimate was close to 3 million.
He told marchers not to wear face covering. Not one did.
He told them to be peaceful. Only eight were arrested.
He would be a crap politician let alone Prime Minister. He is just too honest.

You can always tell a genuine person by the way they respond to a random question. Any hesitation, sometimes even a split second, shows their answer is not genuine. Tommy is genuine. Charlie was genuine. Others out there are genuine. I have noticed that in the wake of the Charlie Kirk murder many people of influence are starting to crawl out from under the bed and start speaking out.

This article is very significant, because “Jerusalem Post” is not a ‘fringe’ publication. Their journalists gave Tommy a fair hearing.. and I think they found him to be a decent, intelligent bloke with a lot of common sense.
Little known fact: fairly early on – I think when he had been put in prison the first time – he was given a Quran (if I recall correctly, by a very foolish mohammedan who thought that this might lead him to convert to Islam!). And having plenty of time in prison and not much else to do, he READ the damn thing.. and he utilised his basic commonsense and he put 2 and 2 together: a/ the instructions in that horrid book and b/ the generally bad behaviour of most of the mohammedans that he had encountered in his ordinary life. And he saw the clear congruence between the bad behaviour and the content of the mohammedan instruction manual. It was an ‘aha!’ moment; a moment of realizing, “So THAT’S why they do X Y Z!”
A brave and smart and stubborn man; among the best of Britain; and incidentally, the best of Ireland, also, for he is of Irish background.
He has walked through fire, so to speak.
Jerusalem Post should send a copy of this article to Douglas Murray.
I think those two men – Murray, and Robinson – need to be interviewed *together*. Put them in the same room, across a table.
