In Europe, the “experiment” is over. Tens of millions of Muslim economic migrants, posing as asylum seekers, have been let into Europe, and the results of that experiment are now clear. After World War II nationalism was in bad odor in Europe. The way to prevent another great war on the continent was to knit the countries of Europe together — first, economically, with the European Coal and Steel Community in 1951, and then by creating ever stronger supranational groups, finally leading to the creation of the European Union, with a European Parliament in Strasbourg that passes legislation for the entire EU. The European project overrode the former sense of national pride; the indigenes became less nationalistic, while at the same time the admission of tens of millions of Muslim economic migrants put pressure on the indigenes to move even further away from their latent nationalism and to accept without complaint the huge demographic changes that these tens of millions of Muslims managed to bring about.
Oddly, this was also a time when crumbling empires, such as France and the United Kingdom, were at least tepidly supporting the national independence of former colonies. So Western power brokers framed nationalism as a kind of intolerable ethos on par with Mussolini’s fascism and Hitler’s national socialism while encouraging former nations or proto-nations in Central Europe, Africa, and Asia to break away from the respective empires that controlled them. While Western leaders pushed for the integration of distinct European nations into a single “Union,” they also promoted national independence movements under the rationale that all humans possess a natural right to self-determination….
The Europeans pressed for self-determination by those living in the colonies of the Great Powers, chiefly Britain and France, while at the same time trying to efface nationalism in Europe itself, which took the building of a supranational European Union as its great and necessary project, if further wars on the European continent were to be avoided.
Nationalism is making a comeback in Europe, as people have become tired of having legislators in Strasbourg dictate everything from the precise labelling of wines and cheeses each country may produce, to the quotas of migrants they must admit. As a response to the demographic threat posed by the tens of millions of Muslims who have been allowed to settle in Europe, where as economic migrants they cost taxpayers many tens billions of dollars annually, nationalism is once again in favor. Many people are tired of being told by the EU how many migrants they must take in; some countries, such as Hungary, are refusing to accept the EU quotas, and the unhappiness with the EU can be seen in the steep rise in popularity of such anti-Muslim immigrant and nationalist parties as Germany’s Alternative für Deutschland, France’s National Rally, Spain’s Vox, the Netherlands’ Party For Freedom, and the U.K.’s Reform Party. Nationalism provides an alternative to the European Union, with its insensate desire to admit still more Muslim migrants, doing so by dictating quotas to each member of the EU, without considering the disastrous effects that such migration has already had on the wellbeing of the indigenous peoples of Europe.
Europe may now be a powder keg, but there will be no civil war if the ruling political elites come to their senses, put a stop to Muslim immigration, and enforce a policy of deportation of all migrants convicted of crimes, and in addition, institute a policy of “remigration,” first by denying welfare benefits to those judged to be economic migrants, and second, by paying Muslims to self-deport to their countries of origin.

I’m sure there are nuances in all of the parties noted.
However, at this point in the game, there appear to be only two alternatives for Europe. Baldly stated, they would be:
#1: The Leftist/Islamist parties, whose mottoes could be “You better get with the plan, because Western civilization deserves to die, and the wonderful Muslims are coming to take your place (but don’t you EVER call it a “Great Replacement”, because that would be giving the game away too soon)”.
#2: Any and all parties that value Western civilization, believe it to be superior and more decent than the alternatives, and wish to stop the erosion of that civilization at the hands of the Muslim hordes descending on it.
Unfortunately, because the #1 group appears to control most of the levers of opinion-creation in the West, anyone within the #2 group will be grouped as “ Anti muslim and immigrant Nationalist”. Maybe #2 should be characterized as the “Save Our Civilization” group.

Western countries should have weaned themselves off of oil from muslim majority countries decades ago. The OPEC oil embargoes of 1973 and 1979 should have been the wake-up call to start the ball rolling toward energy independence – at the level of a “Manhattan project”.
New oil extraction procedures along with biofuels and modern state-of-the-art nuclear power plants could have broken the chains of OPEC.

I have often thought that if we did ban Muslim immigration then a Muslim boycott on selling us oil could destroy us economically.
