Most people assume that the al-Qaeda threat to the U.S. was contained after 9/11. That is not the case. The jihad never ends. Jihadis are among the most patient people on earth.

WASHINGTON — The US National Counterterrorism Center says that recent calls by al-Qaeda for attacks against the United States shows the terrorist group’s enduring threat to the country.
Al-Qaeda and its Yemen-based affiliate, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) “are likely seeking to leverage their media publications and global conflicts, particularly where there is US support or military involvement, to inspire potential attackers,” it says in a memo to law enforcement.
The memo urges government officials to avoid surveillance, to not post or publicly share details about travel plans, schedules and locations, and to remove badges and other forms of identification outside of work.
It also warns of potential threats to targets that draw large crowds including sport and music events and urges law enforcement presence at those events along with organizing pre-event briefings on security measures.
The NCTC, under the control of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, was created in 2004. It says information it’s sharing with law enforcement will give them tools to combat targeting attempts by al-Qaeda.

Problem is that we saw how weaponized surveillance got under every administration since 9/11 – Bush, Obama, Trump 45, Biden…. Where the intel agencies were more interested in going after Republicans than going after muslims, since everyone went out of their way to not name the latter. Which is why, in the current administration, there is such an emphasis on avoiding surveillance
Director Gabbard did say that “islamist” terror is the greatest threat to America. In which case, I do hope she has given secret instructions to all the agencies to profile them more. Yeah, there are the crazed Leftists as well like Tyler Robinson that look like the rest of us, but we certainly need to narrow and first target the jihadists, and in parallel, escalate surveillance of anybody protesting these moves, including our own “civil libertarians” who were relatively quiet during the Obama & Biden years

I agree. We need to turn the tables on those that would cause harm to you and I, and our children, and our neighbors, and our communities. But how would we do that? Well, we are doing one part of that by keeping informed about situational awareness. The next step is to inform you children, neighbors, Pastors/Preacher’s, and community leaders. Ask them if they know what the biggest threat is to their families, neighborhood, or community is today. Be polite, ask probing questions. Like: Hay Norm, have you heard that al-Qaeda is on the march again? Now depending on what type of person Norm is, you will get different answers. The easiest one to answer and inform Norm is: No, I have not. Than you can explain to him or her about what Tulsi Gabberd from the D.N.I sent to all our Law Enforcement Agencies.
The hardest one to answer is when Norm becomes combative and start blaming that type of thinking as the cause on all our troubles today. Just remind Norm that they attacked us on 9/11/2001. Because they were at war with us before we know what terrorism was. And the killing of the evil organizer of that terrible day did not stop the evil.It is still alive and still evil.

Therefore, all decent patriotic Americans need to be aware of this and be alert to observe anything or anyone that doesn’t’ seem or look right. Then if something or someone suspicious is observed then police officer should be informed about it.

Another way to illustrate the folly of foolish and reckless kindness is by the fable of Aesop which of a kind old farmer who saw outside a poor helpless viper that was freezing to death in the winter cold. The compassionate but foolish farmer felt sorry for that creature so he went outside and put it in his vest pocket to warm it up and therefore save its live. The viper revived in the warmed of vest ,felt better then bit the farmer through the vest and the kind but foolish farmer died a slow and painful death from that viper’s bite.
Therefore, allowing all those Muslims who are also jihadists into America is a dangerous folly. For no amount of caring and kindness will change the murderous and destructive nature of a violent /jihadist/Muslim because such a man has been infected with an evil and deadly nature because of the evil and deadly religion.
