In 2019 and 2020, I implemented my Muslim Oath Project (MOP)[1] in which I asked Muslim public officials and candidates across the United States four questions requiring them to choose between the U.S. Constitution/American Law or Islamic Doctrine.[2] By December of 2020 I had sent those four questions to a total of 263 Muslim public officials and candidates in 30 different states and Washington DC. 246 would not express support for the U.S. Constitution.[3]
Zohran Mamdani, the leading candidate to be elected as Mayor of New York City in November, was among those 246. A few weeks ago, I sent him the four questions again, twice. As I wrote about in my July 25th Jihad Watch article, he would not respond.[4]
With hope springing eternal, somewhat, I turned my focus to two other non-responsive veterans of the 2019-2020 MOP: Minnesota Senator Omar Fateh, likely to become the new Mayor of Minneapolis, and Virginia Senator Ghazala Hashmi, the Democrat candidate for Lt. Governor of Virginia.
On August 18 and again on August 25 I sent Fateh and Hashmi the four questions. I used the respective email addresses: info@omarfateh.org and sen.omar.fateh@senate.mn; and info@ghazalaforvirginia.com and senatorhashmi@senate.virginia.gov. Neither has responded.
The lack of responses from Mamdani, Fateh and Hashmi make me think of a statement made by U.S. Congressman Andre Carson (a Muslim convert). On January 10, 2019, at a CAIR Community Congressional Reception, he had this to say to his audience about the role of Muslims elected to the U.S. Congress:
It’s more than just about having three Muslims in Congress…but I won’t rest until 2020 we have five more members of Congress; 2022 and 24, we have ten more Muslims in Congress. In 2030 we may have about 30, 35 Muslims in Congress…Each and every one of us has a directive to represent Islam, in all of our imperfections, but to represent Islam and let the world know that Muslims are here to stay, and Muslims are a part of America. And we will, we will have a Muslim caucus that is sizable, that is formidable, and that is there for you.[5]
Muslims elected in the United States with a “directive to represent Islam,” yet with the goal of being re-elected or elected to higher office? This explains their lack of response to the four questions.

Do you agree with Allah and your prophet Muhammad that amputation of a hand is an acceptable punishment for theft in the United States, or do you believe that our man-made laws prohibiting such punishments are true laws and are to be followed instead of this 7th Century command of Allah and teaching of Muhammad?
No. 4: According to the words of Allah found in Koran 4:3, Muslim men are allowed, but not required, to be married to up to four wives. Being married to more than one wife in the United States is illegal according to our man-made bigamy laws. Do you agree with Allah that it is legal for a Muslim man in the United States to be married to more than one woman, or do you believe that our man-made laws prohibiting bigamy are true laws and are to be followed instead of this 7th Century command of Allah?

Islam is as incompatible with the US Constitution, the oldest written constitution on Earth, as much as Marxism and Nazism are. The reason why above all reasons, and there are many, is that Islam is unique among the major religions in that it is also a totalitarian ideology as both Bertrand Russell and Winston Churchill in their different ways (very different) indicated a century ago.
All the other major religions of the world and the vast majority of minor ones are compatible with the Constitution. Islam is not and this is why so many Muslims have to obfuscate or just refuse answering when asked about this very matter.
Finally, I would both note and argue that Islam should be allowed in America just a Marxism and Nazism are, but it should be properly identified for the freedom-crushing ideology it is just as Marxism and Nazism need to be (and with restrictions on immigration big time because of this). A free society can tolerate ideologies which are inimical to liberty but it comes with an imperative, to wit, such ideologies must be accurately identified for what they are. The world is awash in demonic activity, and Islam is one obvious evidence of it. After saying the false shahada, a person becomes adversely influenced by the demons of Islam. Only Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God, the Savior of the world can free enslaved people from the demons of Islam.

This simple, humble request spoken in desperation to Jesus is repeatedly appropriate at any time during one’s life. It can be taught to anyone in the world. Any follower of Jesus can be an evangelist.

It is important to distinguish between these individuals’ private stance and their views in their capacity as government officials.
The Constitution is a limitation on what the government can do to limit speech, religion, right of assembly to protest, the press etc. it has nothing to do with private actions.

I’m surprised Dr Kirby hasn’t received more responses from these Muslim candidates, all affirming their loyalty to the Constitution and denying their belief in those out-of-date verses in the Koran. This is probably because they don’t realize that not only CAN they do such a thing, but that they SHOULD.
