Terror is the only tool the Qur’an gives the Iranian authorities for dealing with those who don’t fully conform. “Make ready for them all that you can of force and of warhorses, so that by them you may strike terror in the enemy of Allah and your enemy…” (Qur’an 8:60)
“Supreme Court rejects Christian convert’s application for retrial,” Article 18, September 4, 2025:
Iran’s Supreme Court has rejected the application for a retrial of a Christian convert serving a 10-year prison sentence for worshipping in a house-church.
Mehran Shamloui has been in prison for two months, having been detained on his return to Iran on 3 July, after he was deported from Turkey, where he had fled following his sentencing in March.
The 37-year-old was transferred from Mashhad Airport to the Greater Tehran Penitentiary, where many male prisoners were sent following the missile strike on Evin Prison.
In August, Mehran was among the prisoners to be sent back to Evin, alongside fellow Christians Joseph Shahbazian, Nasser Navard Gol-Tapeh and Hakop Gochumyan, after the prison was partially reopened.
Another Christian prisoner, Amir-Ali Minaei, is unaccounted for, while female prisoners including Christian converts Mina Khajavi and Aida Najaflou remain in Qarchak Prison, where conditions are reportedly dire.
After her transfer to Qarchak, Aida released a voice recording, which was published by Iran International, in which she complained that the prisoners had been transferred in “such a disgraceful manner, handcuffed”, and were now “suffering without clean water, cooling, or heating, lacking hygiene and proper food, entangled and helpless”.
Background
Mehran was sentenced alongside two other Christian converts, Abbas Soori and Narges Nasri, who at the time was midway through her pregnancy.
All three fled the country, but Mehran decided not to apply for refugee status in Turkey, having seen so many other Iranian Christians spend years awaiting resettlement only to see their applications rejected.
Instead, he attempted to cross the border into Europe, but he was caught, detained and deported….

It’s not just a coincidence that millions of Muslims make it to Europe via Turkey, but three Christians from Iran attempting to get to Europe via Turkey are apprehended and deported to Iran for imprisonment (for being Christians.)

The reason that the Muslims clerics, the ayatollahs and mullahs, in power in Iran are very ready and will to do everything they are able to do ,through those thugs in uniform who are Iran’s Islamic state police, who call themselves the “the Revolutionary Guards , to engage in sever brutal and cruel persecution against Christians and burn their Bibles is because those ruling Muslims clerics are afraid that if the Iranian people start to read the Bible and discover that when the Bible and the Quran are compared and contrasted find that the Bible is the superior of those two books.
Therefore , those Ayatollahs and mullahs might then start to loses much of their power because that that Islamic “Republic “ of Iran has the Quran with its Sharia as the entire foundation of their regime.
So they , to uphold their power, will everything they can to keep the Iranian people in ignorance of the Bible and away from the light the Bible and keep them in the darkness of Islam.
In in consequence, in time , the result will be sorrow upon those ayatollahs sand mullahs. For the Bible reveals “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; who put darkness for light and light for darkness.” Isaiah 5:20. [N.K.J.V.]
About those Imams and mullahs of Iran, such false teachers are described in the Bible, in Second Peter 2:1,2 “There were false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction and many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.”
Those same Muslims clerics also tell the Iranian people many awful terrible things that aren’t true about Christians and Christianity , likewise they speak many negative and false things about the Jewish people and the State of Israel. This is a reflection of the prediction of such lying falsehood speakers written about in the Bible , which informs its reader about men who “Speak evil of things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption.” Second Peter 2:12.
