He wants to die so he can get his virgins, and other jihadis proclaim (however insincerely) how much they love death, so it isn’t likely that this will serve as a deterrent, but it’s time the U.S. stopped projecting weakness, which only encourages the jihadis.
“‘He doesn’t deserve to breathe’: Fort Hood massacre survivor speaks after hearing of shooter’s possible execution,” by Adam Schindler, KWTX, September 25, 2025:
KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) – Secretary of War Pete Hegseth says he will be pursuing the execution of Nidal Hasan, the former Army doctor convicted in the 2009 Fort Hood massacre.
In a statement sent to KWTX by the Pentagon, Hegseth states, “I am 100 percent committed to ensuring the death penalty is carried out for Nidal Hasan. This savage terrorist deserves the harshest lawful punishment for his 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood. The victims and survivors deserve justice without delays.”
It’s news that victims tell us, they are happy to hear.
Retired Army veteran Alonzo Lunsford was serving at Darnell Hospital on Fort Hood when, then Major Nidal Hasan, was waiting in the soldier readiness processing center.
“While I was at the front checking soldiers in, Major Hasan was sitting in the chair,” said Lunsford. “He was sitting in the by himself and rocking like this.”
Lunsford said Hasan opened fire after telling a civilian employee that someone wanted to see her.
“When I decided to leave out, something said turn around and check your six,” said Lunsford. “When I turned, he had the weapon on me like this right here. I turned my head to the side this way and the first round went in above my left eye, between my brain and my skull, and came out my left ear.”
He was then shot in the back twice before running to his vehicle to get a weapon and being shot several more times….
Taffy says
Nidal Hasan should have been executed shortly after conviction. Since this is a military matter, endless appeals are not part of the equation.
And firing squad should be the preferred method.
James Lincoln says
Taffy,
Agree.
And I’ve got a fresh box of .30-30 Winchester that I would be happy to donate.
Taffy says
A soft point Win. 300 mag (if sticking to 30 cal.) would be more spectacular.
What I don’t understand is Hasan was sentenced to the death penalty shortly after conviction, and he was and is being held in Leavenworth ever since. The death penalty exists partly for retribution and partly for deterrence. In Hasan’s case there is NO DOUBT that he committed the murders, and only doubt, in my opinion, should be the only ground for appeal. As such, and the fact that this is a military matter, should have sealed his fate within a month after conviction.
James Lincoln says
Taffy says,
Correct on all counts.
The fact that Hasan still breathing is profoundly disturbing.
OLD GUY says
This murderer has been sitting in jail for 16 years already. The lawyers have had plenty of time to grab tax payers money filing all their paper appeals, lets get it OVER.
RJ Katz says
A firing squad is too compassionate. He needs to hang so that his neck doesn’t break and he dies from slow asphyxiation

We don’t have to become barbarians to defeat barbarism–not with Fascism, and not with Islam.
Az gal says
Yes. I vote hanging. More dishonorable.
somehistory says
I saw this on the news thread…and thought, it’s about time. Justice needs to be a lot faster when it is obvious who is the guilty person.
bo calling it work place violence is a disgusting thing. The scum should have been put down long ago.
Westman says
Why not the Isamic way, “strike the necks”?
It might make a few would-be terrorists do some pre-strike cost-benefit evaluations. It certainly wouldn’t be useful as Western martyrdom propaganda, and maybe a little humiliating.

Hegseth will pursue execution of Fort Hood jihad mass murderer
……………………………………
*Good*.
Matua Atua says
Notice how quickly the Oklahoma City Bomber Timothy McVeigh was executed. No endless stays of execution for him by elite, pro-bono Washington attorneys. Could it be that as a muslim, Hasan is getting special treatment?
gravenimage says
Good point.
Troybeam says
Execution should have been done the same day he was found guilty, 16 years the tax paying Americans have kept this murderer alive and able to spread his Islamic filth in prison.
Firing squad: should have number of firearms to equal the number of people he killed, each having a 50 caliber rifle loaded with extra sized clip.
Cremate the body, no Islamic burial, take the ashes to the nearest sewage treatment plant and dump them there.
JustJim says
No sense wasting all that expensive .50 cal.ammo, a firing squad, composed of the victims families, with .22 shorts, would be appropriate. Aim for non lethal body parts.
Andy says
This was not a single man or spur of the moment act to kill soldiers inside a cantorment. It was a long planned act. He was influenced by mullahs, family and relatives. Decided to act normal, study medicine, join military and kills solders. This is how muslims plan against Kafirs. Which means, most of the muslims in Amrica, migrants or born here would do the same thing given the opportunity. They do not have anything common with rest of America. Our country has been infested with the poison called Islam. Rashida Tlaib, Linda Sarsour, Illhan, CAIR, Dearborn Mayor are the symptom and tip of the iceberg. They take advantage of free society and freedom of speech. These must be eliminated.
Huh?!? says
Agreed Andy. This is what needs to be done. Uncle Sam needs to show a strong determination to stop Islam.
Mo says
Wow, I didn’t even know he was still alive!
