HAMAS terrorists have declared victory for “the justice of our cause” after Britain recognised the State of Palestine yesterday.
Sir Keir Starmer announced the UK’s decision in a video message on Sunday “to keep alive the possibility of peace and a two-state solution”.
The major foreign policy shift made Britain one of more than 150 states to now recognise Palestine.
Canada, Australia and Portugal joined the UK in this move, while France is expected to follow suit imminently.
Sir Keir called it a “pledge to the Palestinian and Israeli people that there can be a better future”.
It comes after nearly two years of war following the atrocities of October 7, 2023 in which Hamas terrorists killed around 1,200 people and took hundreds hostage.
Senior Hamas figure Mahmoud Mardaw [sic] declared that this recognition of Palestine is a “victory for Palestinian rights and the justice of our cause”.
He added that it would send a “clear message” to Israel….

So the Palestinian State attacked the Israeli State on October 7, and as Netanyahu said a state of war exists between the two states.
The citizens of Palestine are therefore no longer refugees but citizens of Palestine.
The decision of certain countries of course violates UN Resolution 242 allowing Israel to retain certain conquered territory to ensure defensible borders.
A Palestinian state of course would be a threat to Israel just as a free Gaza is. In 2006 when the Israelis withdrew from Gaza, the Palestinians there immediately began act of war against Israel.
