The Université de Sherbrooke is sticking to its decision to admit a student to its medical school despite mounting concerns by parents and Jewish doctors’ groups over social media posts he is alleged to have made that were antisemitic, homophobic and sexist — and despite the fact Quebec’s lieutenant-governor has now stripped him of a youth medal over the controversy.
Ian Préfontaine, a spokesperson for Lt.-Gov. Manon Jeannotte, confirmed on Friday that it has rescinded Ahmad Mousattat’s Youth Medal, awarded to him at a ceremony on April 26 in Laval. The Journal de Montréal first reported that Mousattat’s medal was taken away. In a statement, Préfontaine went into more detail about the medal revocation: “The office of the lieutenant-governor of Quebec has removed Ahmad Mousattat’s name from the Quebec lieutenant-governor’s medal register, and he has been notified of this decision.
“Dawson College sent us a letter asking us to withdraw its recommendation to support Mr. Mousattat’s candidacy,” Préfontaine added. The Journal had quoted Préfontaine as saying that Dawson “confirmed to us that the student had admitted to writing messages that were, shall we say, inappropriate.”…
In an email that he sent to The Gazette in June, he suggested he was the victim of “baseless” allegations by an anonymous group. In July, a government report on rising tensions at Dawson and Vanier Colleges alluded to a complaint of “inappropriate comments” that had been made on a Discord social media platform for medical school applicants.
Under the heading of “hateful words,” the report ordered by the Ministry of Higher Education relayed the chilling details of the complaint: “On May 9, 2025, an anonymous email sent to Dawson College denounced a social media chat group between students from different institutions,” the report recalled. “The comments were described as hateful, antisemitic, racist and threatening to various groups. Among the main participants in this group was a student from the college. The email included several screenshots illustrating these exchanges.
“Faced with this situation, the college took swift action. The articles concerning the student were removed from the college’s website and a meeting was arranged with him,” the report continued. “During this meeting, he confirmed that he was the author of the messages and provided some explanations.”
Ultimately, Dawson concluded that “although some comments were deemed inappropriate, they did not constitute incitement to violence,” according to the report.
In late August, Mousattat began studying medicine at the Université de Sherbrooke’s satellite campus in Longueuil….

Those are the truthful.” Allah in Quran 4:101 says, “…Surely the infidels(Non-Muslims) were your clear enemies.”

So, first, Ahmad Mousattat lied and falsely accused “anonymous” others of persecuting him. Then, when faced with evidence, he admitted his actions and so-called “explained” them. Got it.

So, Dawson college deemed Ahmad Mousattat’s expressed support for killing Jewish people, and his threat to commit an attack, as being merely “inappropriate.” Got it.
Harvard hosted a German Nazi alumnus as an honored guest in the 1930’s and arrested several Jewish students, and one non-Jewish student, who protested that action by Harvard.

I used to work with people in the math department of the Université de Sherbrooke (main campus in Sherbrooke, about 100 miles east of Montreal).
There is a Muslim assistant teacher who has spoken publicly about his hate of Israel. He has a huge Palestine flag in his office. Not a single prof in the department has stepped up to defend Jewish students or anyone who is against the atrocities committed by Hamas.

Glaubt irgendjemand, dass Menschen die sich einen weißen Kittel anziehen und sich Ärzte nennen, bessere Menschen wären? Unter denen gibt es genau so viele Schurken wie im Durchschnitt der Bevölkerung.
Was mich erschreckt, dass aus den Erfahrungen mit Ärzten im 3.Reich, die massenhaft Verbrechen gegen die Menschlichkeit verübt und gegen den hippokratischen Eid verstoßen haben, wohl nichts gelernt würde. Hätten die Verantwortlichen der Zulassungsstelle eine fundierte Bildung und eine Grundausstattung an humanistischen Werten mit einem moralischen Kompass, der in zivilisierten entwickelten Ländern Standard ist, würden solche Personen keine Chance bekommen, sich zum Dr. Mengele ausbilden zu lassen.
