Murtadd to Human launched in May 2021. The site has grown slowly, but the churn rate has been very low, from which I deduce that members of the site are discerning readers. People who join up tend to stay. I’d like to think this also reflects the quality of the writing, on which I pride myself. If you have signed up, then thank you for your endorsement.

The time has come to step out into the big wide world. Several of you have asked about supporting Murtadd to Human. Thank you. I avoided doing this until I had a solid body of material on the site. There are now almost 400 posts on the site, many of which are long form. these posts form the nucleus of the Academy’s material, together with Islamic source material and significant secondary reference sources.

I am inaugurating Murtadd Academy, the education section of Murtadd to Human. You may now support my work by signing up for either of two tiers of seminars, all facilitated by me. Over one year, Murtadd Academy offers 30 Introductory and 20 Advanced seminars. Most of the Introductory seminars have a more demanding Advanced version. Some may be standalone. You should get a clear idea of the difference in levels by comparing the outlines of the Introductory and Advanced versions of Seminar #1, now available at the links below.

Setting all of this up is very new to me and I have been on a steep learning curve over the last month or so. You will have noticed a drop-off in output rate over recent weeks. Don’t worry, things are about to ramp back up. I’ll still be ironing out some kinks over the next few days. If you come across any snags, I’d appreciate a heads up.

About Murtadd Academy

Murtadd Academy is a friendly place for talking about two unfriendly topics: Islam and Muslims, and for learning practical ways of slowing down and reversing the changes that have been imposed on us, our norms and our lifestyles to advance the cause of Islam, presented as, amongst other things, “making Muslims feel at home”. Examples abound: refraining from eating in the presence of Muslims during their fasting month, to tolerating their loudspeakers waking everyone because it is their prayer time. Real flesh and blood people spreading Islam do actual harm to real flesh and blood people. Simply by being nice to you, Muslims spread Islam.

As you probably know, I am a retired Assistant Professor holding a PhD in political economy. I left Islam 46 years ago, having grown up under Apartheid in South Africa, before moving to Europe as an adult. Since then, I have lived and worked in scores of countries across five continents, and studied my former religion seriously for just over a decade. Today I am able to bring a rich life experience, including many years of teaching, to these seminars. See a recent interview here.

The format is a seminar, rather than a lecture. This means that while each session is facilitated. Contributions of thoughts, ideas, questions and comments are encouraged and free discussion is welcomed. The flow is guided, rather than rigid. Each Murtadd Academy seminar arises out of practical, everyday concerns and the challenges of addressing them.

We endeavour to draw out lessons for Europe, Australia, Israel and other regions/countries, as well as for Jews in general, as seems opportune.

Our seminars are online (Zoom) and in English (you’ll need a camera and a microphone), starting on 1 September 2025 (Introductory seminars, Mondays) and 10 September 2025 (Advanced seminars, Wednesdays), generally weekly at this time, lasting 1 hour:

Murtadd Academy is a place where intellectual honesty and robust critique are valued and encouraged. If you are here to inform yourself, you are welcome. If you are looking for practical solutions to practical problems of Islamisation in your workplace, town, state or country, you are welcome. We will all learn and build courage together. There is no need to pussyfoot or beat around the bush. But if you are here to abuse anyone or to disrupt our seminars, your presence will not be tolerated.

  2. Anjuli has 5 wonderfully informative essays in the Jihadwatch archives that I urge all to find and read if possible. I learned so much about the way muslims think & behave from those essays & have admired this lady & the work she has done to inform us ever since.

  3. I was concerned initially that it seemed as though she viewed all religion as pathological, but Islam far more so than most. Like, it’s better to have arthritis than cancer, but best of all to have neither. Then I saw https://www.murtaddtohuman.org/why-murtadd-and-not-mulhid/ (check it out, there’s an interesting ending).
    The home page on https://murtaddtohuman.org/ gives a Cloudflare error 525 message from my Google browser, but the other pages on the site are accessible, and the home page is accessible via the Tor browser.

    • I believe she converted to Judaism, so it’s not like she despises all religion. Which is a problem w/ some murtads: due to their justified disgust w/ islam, they assume that all religions are like that (something that a lot of ignoramuses claim, and therefore they believe), and end up being hardcore atheists, which precludes them from allying w/ people of other faiths threatened by muslims

      On the 525 error, I think the site admin of her site should look at it. I had no idea that SSL still exists: in my CompTIA Security+ course, I read that it had been deprecated in favor of TLS. If they upgraded to that, they may be better able to negotiate handshakes w/ Cloudfare, which was under fire not too long ago for a major hack affecting most Windows users

    How do we get around this ‘error’?

    • This is something administrators at her site have to resolve. SSL is a deprecated standard, and Cloudfare failed to complete that handshake w/ it. Her site admin should update the security to TLS so that visitors to the site can have a secure browsing experience

      Cloudfare did get burned last year (I think) from a major security issue that affected most Windows users, so they’re not likely to compromise on this by using a deprecated protocol

  6. I certainly hope that many Westerners will sign up to learn and understand better the ME and the religion of “peace”.

    Murtad to Human is one of the best sites on the internet to get some genuine information about Islam.
