It’s official: Hamas is on the U.N. “blacklist” of organizations “being responsible for patterns of rape or other forms of sexual violence in situations of armed conflict”.

The blacklisting of Hamas is good news, as acknowledged by Danny Danon, but what will be the followup? Also, the obscene moral equivalence must stop. Hamas is obviously to blame for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, yet Israel gets excoriated for this all over the world.
The anti-Israel UN can only deny Hamas’ role for so long. Yet whenever the UN is backed into a corner and has to admit the barbarity of Hamas toward Israelis and to its own people, it finds new alleged crimes for which it can blame Israel.
Israel was forced to wage war against Hamas to defend itself from annihilation, so the focus should be on what Hamas started on October 7. Hamas then proceeded to use its own people as human shields as the world watched Gaza get decimated.
The UN is walking a thin line; on the one hand, it is controlled by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and on the other, it knows that it is only a matter of time before it loses even more funding. Earlier this month, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres slashed over $700 million in spending, and he laid out plans to “overhaul the United Nations as its largest sponsor, the US, pulls back support.”
The US has been the largest donor since the UN’s founding in 1945. But the UN is no longer the same organization it was when it was founded. It has been commandeered by the red-green axis.
“Hamas blacklisted by UN for systemic sexual crimes on Oct. 7, puts Israel on notice,” by Sarah Ben-Nun and Mathilda Heller, Jerusalem Post, August 14, 2025:
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres blacklisted Hamas on the annual conflict-related sexual violence report on Thursday, the Foreign Ministry announced.
Guterres also called on Israel to give the UN “unfettered access” to investigate the alleged detainee violations, release those arbitrarily detained, and ensure that they are released in a dignified way. He also urged Israel to investigate and prosecute all the allegations.
Guterres had previously written to Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon that he put Israel on notice for potential listing in the next reporting cycle for “significant concerns of patterns of certain forms of sexual violence” that the UN has documented in prisons, a detention center, and a military base.
This is in reference to, among other accounts, the testimonials out of the Sde Teiman detention facility where Palestinians apprehended from Gaza were held.
Danon responded that these were “baseless accusations,” and that the UN should “focus on the horrific war crimes committed by Hamas and the immediate release of all the hostages.”
The blacklisting of Hamas is a bold, declarative, and diplomatic move, and could have practical implications, but that depends on the next steps that are taken. Danon told Channel 12 on Thursday, “What we can do is now take it [the listing] to states that haven’t recognized Hamas as a terrorist organization and try to move them in that direction.”….

Oh the irony.

This article is somewhat confusing. Is the UN saying at the same time it does call Hamas a group which uses rape as political punishment also calling Israel a sexual deviate using sex as a weapon like Hamas does? Hard to understand if the article actually says this or not.

I no longer care whether or not the UN has anything harsh to say about the likes of Hamas, ISIS, Taliban, Hefazat (Bangladesh), Boko Haram, al Shabab, et al. They can just go and perform their impossible sex act, if one gets my drift

Hamas is evil. Likewise, those brutal bestial vile and heinous Muslim terrorists of Hamas are totally wicked, with all the sadistic viciousness of their Islamic demonic influenced minds and hearts.
Those savage Muslim terrorists of Hamas with their heinous and vile sex assaults and abuse and outright rapes of the defenseless helpless girls and young women who are the hostages that they had kidnapped. Those horrendous evil sex assaults and outright rapes reveal that horrific wicked character of the Hamas Muslim terrorists.
The point is Hamas is pure evil and likewise the Muslim terrorist are completely and totally evil . This is because the violent brutal cruel false religion that is Islam had infected their hearts and minds.

It’s about time that the United Nations blacklist Hamas for at least one of its many human rights violation. In this case. For the numerous crude vile and heinous horrific sex crimes against the people who had kidnapped on October 7th 2023.
Hamas and its Muslim terrorists should not have impunity for their horrific crimes.
Walter Sieruk says
Those sexual assaults and rapes of the female hostages by the Muslim terrorists of Hamas exposes the crude cruel heinous and vile character of those terrorists of Hamas.
This is also a reflection of the brutal misogyny of Islam.
Walter Sieruk says
It should always be kept in mind and never forgotten that the jihad entity is completely evil and its jihadist stooges likewise are totally wicked. For there is absolutely no limits to the vile, heinous horrifically evils that the jihadists of Hamas will commit because of because of their demonic and malice-filled religion that is Islam.
Moreover, it was very good news that those young Israeli women who had been ruthlessly kidnapped by the jihadists of Hamas have been freed. Nevertheless, Hamas should pay compensation for the severe suffering and wicked abuse they, had to endure while in captivity, that inflected on them by the cruel jihadists of Hamas. Likewise, those jihadists of Hamas who had deliberately and maliciously inflected torture on them. Those Muslim terrorists should be punished for their savage cruelty that they brutally and maliciously horrendously committed against those poor defenseless helpless women .For those Hamas jihad should not be allowed to go free with impunity.

Here’s a question: What good does the UN engage in any longer? And even if there are a few good things the UN really does, though I’m doubtful here, couldn’t this “good” still exist without the UN? Rather like stating that any good that exists in Islam is not unique to Islam but can be found elsewhere so what is the point of keeping Islam around anymore than keeping the UN around?
At best, both the UN and Islam are superfluous. At worst, they are each a major menace to mankind.

The problem is that the UN can never be a civilized body when most nations are unfree.

UN blacklists Hamas for systemic sex crimes on Oct. 7, but ‘puts Israel on notice’
……………………………………………..
What for? For opposing Hamas sex crimes?
abu taleb says
Then Islam should be blacklisted too because Islam does sanction attacks with rapes, kills and kidnaps exactly like what Hamas did.
