After Israel’s first main attack on Iran, on October 26, when the IDF destroyed almost all of Iran’s air defenses, the Iranians promised a terrible revenge. It never came. Now, after the battering Iran received from the IDF in the Twelve-Day War, it has yet to respond to this latest most devastating attack. It has claimed, falsely, that the IDF had been helped during that war by “NATO, Europe, and the United States.” None of that is true. In a later, and separate attack, the Americans did strike Iran’s nuclear facilities at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan, which had been previously attacked by the IDF.
Then, again, the Iranians threatened that if Israel launches any further attack on their country, they will “wipe Israel off the face of the earth forever.” Why wait for another attack by Israel? Wasn’t that 12-day aggression by the Jewish state enough to justify an Iranian response that would end the Jewish state’s existence? If Iran is so all-powerful, why does it refrain from responding to that Israeli attack? The IRGC has its excuse: according to its version of events, Iran delivered a terrific blow against Israel in that war, and has no need to respond further unless of course the Israelis are foolish enough to attack Iran again, and this time Iran will not only repeat its previous “victory,” but will wipe Israel “off the face of the earth.”
Reza Pahlavi has his own sources of information inside Iran. Many Iranians are fed up with the regime. They have seen the hundreds of billions of dollars invested in the nuclear program go up in smoke. The tens of billions of dollars that Iran has spent on supporting its proxies with weaponry and money, especially Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, have similarly evanesced as a result of Israeli attack. Finally, the crushing blow delivered by the IDF to Iran during the Twelve-Day War in June, and then the further damage done by the American bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan, have so demoralized members of the IRGC that some of them now want out. They can no longer support a regime that has destroyed the country’s economy, with more than 30% of Iranians now living below the poverty line, that crushes peaceful dissent, and has that has misspent hundreds of billions of dollars both on failing proxies (Hamas, Hezbollah), and on a nuclear program that has just been demolished. They sense the regime is crumbling, and want to get out while there is still time.
Neither of Iran’s allies, Russia and China, came to its aid when the IDF was pounding the Islamic Republic. Russia has its hands full with a surprisingly resilient Ukraine. China expressed its purely verbal support, but offered no help. All of the Sunni Arab states were pleased to see the malevolent Iranian Shia state dealt such a tremendous blow by Israel.
Meanwhile, Iran spins grotesque conspiracy theories about Jewish money and power into a narrative about a “second Zionist state” that would bestride the Patagonia region in southern Chile and Argentina. And uses Spanish-language media to spread the falsehood throughout Latin America.
The Islamic Republic insists that the huge defeat inflicted in June by the IDF was, in fact, a famous victory for Iran. No one outside Iran agrees, but as long as the Iranian government keeps repeating the lie to its own people, it hopes to remain in power. But the truth has a way of seeping into the country despite Tehran’s best efforts to keep it out. The Iranians can listen to Persian-language foreign news broadcasts such as those offered by the VOA and BBC. They can read the websites of Iranian exiles abroad, such as Iran International, and the social media posts of those both outside and inside Iran who report truthfully on Iran’s colossal defeat. The more the Tehran regime lies about its nonexistent famous victory, the more support it loses from those who learn the humiliating truth.

Iran has a pretty stupid regime. Forget gratitude: they don’t even seem to keep tabs on who let them down. If I was them, then in response to China & Russia doing nothing to help, I’d have promptly exited SCO & BRICS
I do hope it goes down during the next few weeks due to the national water crisis, which would trump even islam

The Iranian people have every right to obtain freedom from those cruel and oppressive despots who are in power in that tyrannical Islamic regime of Iran.
For that that horrifically, brutal oppressive malicious and murderous Islamic regime of Iran, denies the Iranian, people their basic natural human rights. As in consequence the people of Iran would and should revolt against that viciously brutal tyrannical “’mullah regime” of Iran.
Accordingly, the Iranian people are right and righteous by engaging in bitter and strong protests against those cruel malicious and murderous tyrants in power of that cruel and oppressive Sharia based dictatorship of that Islamic regime of Iran.
In other words, those vicious despots of that horrendously horrific Islamic regime have provoked the people excessively too far.
In addition, some of the people who trapped in and forced to exist in the Islamic dictatorship of Iran might not know about the intellect philosopher John Locke, but his ideas do apply to them. For Mr. Locke taught that any good government has the duty to ensure the security and safety of its citizens. Yet when a tyranny is the people in the tyrannical government do have every natural and ethical right to overthrow that terrible and oppressive tyrannical government.

Israel still needs to remain vigilant. Iran is a wounded animal, and although defeated, may still have a bite or two left. In 12 days, the Israeli Air Force directed Allah’s Middle finger at the Ayatollah, the IRGC and the Quds Force, but Iran still has some ballistic missiles and near hypersonic missiles in its mostly depleted arsenal. Israel did a good job of eliminating the missile launchers, so a barrage of 300+ missiles won’t happen until they can rebuild. Hopefully, the drought and material logistics will complicate any launcher renewal program.
In the meantime, Israel is repairing the holes in its missile defenses by fine tuning David’s Sling and the Iron Dome and bringing the Iron Beam fully onboard to lessen the likelihood that future Iranian missiles will get through. Israel cannot really afford another major blow where an Iranian missile destroyed 25 years of medical research at Weitzman Institute. Also, Israel’s response to the last Houthi missile made two of Yemen’s Red Sea ports disappear. and gave the Houthis something to do, other than attack Israel.
The next big question is will Turkey and HTS behave themselves? It is my opinion that HTS will do nothing without Turkish support. But, it is also my opinion that Erdoğan is an unpredictable wild card.
In the meantime, Israel has to step up its game and completely conquer Gaza. If France, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand et al. are hell-bent to establish a Palestinian state, they can do so somewhere far away from Israel.

Iran is held by an Islamic dictatorship that will kill to stay in power. Unless the Iran military turns on the regime the people by themselves have little chance of overthrowing the current government without out side help.
