Secretary of State Marco Rubio continues to provide evidence that he is Trump’s best cabinet appointment. Now the State Department has been reviewing the visa status of students, considering the revocation of visas for those who have been convicted of violating the criminal law, or who have remained in the country after their visas have expired, or who have expressed support for terrorism. Rubio’s department has so far revoked the visas of 6,000 students. More on this latest achievement can be found here: “Rubio’s State Department yanks more than 6K student visas due to assault, burglary, support for terrorism,” by Diana Stancy, Fox News, August 18, 2025:
The State Department has yanked more than 6,000 student visas in 2025 for overstays and law violations — including support for terrorism, Fox News Digital has learned.
The Trump administration has launched multiple initiatives aimed at cracking down on immigration and revoking visas of those attending academic institutions in the U.S.
Those who’ve participated in pro-Palestinian protests have faced heightened scrutiny, as one example, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in May that the administration was reviewing the visa status of those students.
The roughly 6,000 visas that were pulled were primarily due to visa overstays or encounters with the law, including assault, DUIs, burglary and support for terrorism, the State Department told Fox News Digital.
“Every single student visa revoked under the Trump Administration has happened because the individual has either broken the law or expressed support for terrorism while in the United States,” a senior State Department official said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “About 4,000 visas alone have been revoked because these visitors broke the law while visiting our country, including records of assault and DUIs.”
Those who had their student visas yanked due to assault — roughly 800 students — either faced arrest or charges stemming from assault, according to the State Department official.
Those whose visas were pulled due to support for terrorism — between 200 people to 300 people — engaged in behavior such as raising funds for the militant group Hamas, which the U.S. State Department has designated as a terrorist organization, the official said….
Surely raising funds for Hamas is not the only way of supporting terrorism that should lead to the revocation of a visa. What of those people, like the now-infamous Mahmoud Khalil, who led demonstrations by campus mobs at Columbia chanting their support for Hamas, yeling Hamas slogans, and trying to intimidate Israeli and Jewish students on campus? If someone is part of a mob chanting “from the river to the sea/Palestine shall be free” or “death to the IDF” or “globalize the Intifada,” which express, inter alia, a genocidal wish to see the state of Israel disappear, to be replaced by a 23rd Arab state, a desire that every soldier in the IDF be killed, and that Jews be killed worldwide in a “global intifada,” that person’s visa should at once be revoked.
So far, the State Department has revoked the visas of 6,000 visa holders. Most of those revocations were for criminal behavior — DUIs, robberies, and burglaries. Between 200 and 300 of those whose visas have been revoked were found to be supporters of terrorism. That number will surely rise, as the investigations of visa holders proceeds, into the many thousands. But even more important, the State Department will now be much more careful about granting visas in the first place, taking its time to investigate more thoroughly the backgrounds of visa applicants, and giving special attention to those from Muslim countries. This will have a salutary effect on foreign students hoping at some time in the future to study in the U.S. They ought now to assume that American authorities will be able to unearth any pro-Palestinian views they choose to express on social media, so that they will have to keep mum about the murderous sentiments they harbor but know that if expressed, those views would prevent their being granted a visa.
With this new State Department policy in place we can expect, without the foreign agitators leading the mobs, far fewer, and much smaller, pro-Hamas demonstrations on campus. In the topography of our relief, no place will then stand higher than the office of Marco Rubio and the Foggy Bottom Boys.

It was a very good thing that the State Department revoked 6000 visas for foreign student guilty of crimes or supporting terrorism.” The reason why this is because the duty of any responsible government to protect and ensure the safety and security of that citizens of that nation.
Let’s take this to one more step, regarding the obligation of the government safeguard the lives safety and security of the people who are the citizens of the United States. Concerning all those Muslim migrants entering into the different Western countries an author had, rightly, written “We are being invaded. We are being colonized.” When applying that statement to the United States, it’s very fitting that an revised and updated version of the Monroe Doctrine is needed which would remove the words “European nations” and insert the words “Islamic countries.”
Which would read, “The United States will not be open to colonization from Islamic countries.”

Appears they plan to go even further. Included in revocations should be any muslim advocating islamic supremacy.

Yes, it’s time for them to go home. They can “advocate” there.

Isn’t that happening in every single mosk in the world?
Advocating islamic supremacy, and acting to impose that is jihad, isn’t it?

The ‘judge’ who allowed khalil to stay, should lose his seat on the bench and the terror goon should be sent home to Syria.

The list of revoked student visas contains more guilty of a criminal act like robbery than due to political activity supporting terrorism. I would think that there are more than the 200-300 persons found so far who are actively supporting terrorism. if these people were arrested and those Police arrest reports were not thrown into the garbage as most were under Biden, then maybe their visas would be revoked much earlier and the massive demonstrations in favor of Hamas would not have taken place. We should see much less of that as soon as these students find themselves on a plane back to their countries. Other pro-terrorist students will not be so willing to risk deportation when arrested in taking part in street or compus anti-Israel demonstrations.
The countries they come from, if there are Middle Eastern ones, do not allow participation in demonstrations at all unless they are anti-Israel but when they come to the US, they feel emboldened to even fight with police to show their hatred of Israel, an ally of the US. That action in their countries would be far worse that a visa revoked and they would wind up in their countries jail system very quickly. But once on US soil they do not see themselves as “quests” of the US with certain guidelines. On the contrary this is the place to raise cane and take part in violent protests. That is the disrespect they have for the US.

So far, Marco Rubio has been a fantastic pick as US Secretary of State.
