Mamdani Wants Cops to Stop Responding to Muslim Crimes

Zohran Mamdani has called for having social workers respond to domestic violence and hate crimes. The radical mayoral candidate seeking to take power in New York City has proposed creating a new ‘Department of Community Safety’ to displace the NYPD using social workers, ‘violence interrupters’ and other non-law enforcement personnel to deal with some crimes.

Using non-police to respond to crimes while defunding the police is a pro-crime measure and indeed Mamdani’s proposed $1.1 billion Department of Community Safety is supposed to pull over $600 million from existing offices, but there’s something even more troubling about it.

Jews, especially after Oct 7, have become the victims of unprecedented levels of hate crimes in New York City. More than half of the hate crimes in 2024 were aimed at Jews and they were the victims of 60% of the hate crimes committed this year. A growing number of those crimes are being committed by members of Mamdani’s Islamic religion and supporters of Islamic terrorism.

Last year, Muhammad Shahzeb Khan had plotted a terrorist attack at New York City synagogues either on the anniversary of the Oct 7 Muslim terrorist massacres or around the High Holy Days. After the Oct 7 massacres, Yehia Amin, a Muslim man living in Queens, likely in Mamdani’s district, assaulted a group of Jewish men who were wearing religious clothing in Times Square while telling them, “Hamas should kill more of you” and “All Jews should die.”

Elsewhere in the city, a Jewish man was slashed by an attacker shouting “Free Palestine”, a Jewish family was attacked at a graduation ceremony with shouts of “Death to Israel” and a former Director of Government Affairs for CAIR began screaming, “I demand jihad, I want ISIS to kill all of you” at a Jewish man. CAIR, a pro-terror group that cheered the Hamas attacks of Oct 7, had reportedly funneled $100,000 to a pro-Mamdani PAC working to elect the terror supporter.

Some of the attacks on Jews were the work of Islamic and pro-terrorist political organizations including those part of the anti-Israel coalitions Mamdani had joined with. Synagogues in Brooklyn were targeted by ‘protesters’ leading to several assaults. The home of a Jewish official was vandalized with the Hamas red triangle during a Jewish holiday by terror supporters.

Why would Mamdani want to shift hate crimes away from law enforcement and to a new department of activists handpicked by him and his associates? One reason would be to suppress reporting, enforcement and prosecutions of attacks on Jews by his people and allies.

The previous De Blasio administration, which Mamdani had described as a role model, had already crippled the NYPD’s counterterrorism and ability to stop Muslim terrorist attacks before they happen. The NYPD was once able to interdict the plot by Ahmed Ferhani and Mohammad Mamdouh to attack a synagogue and the plot by Muhammad Yusuf to kill U.S soldiers in 2011. Then De Blasio took office and New York City was left exposed to Islamic terrorist attacks.

Now Mamdani appears set to cripple the NYPD’s ability to also respond to attacks on Jews.

What do hate crimes and domestic violence have in common? They’re both acts that members of Mamdani’s Muslim religion and community are disproportionately involved in. Studies have shown that Muslim settlers residing in America have highly elevated rates of domestic violence.

At least 1 in 10 Muslim women report experiencing domestic violence in multiple surveys and the numbers may actually be even higher. For example 41% of Muslim women receiving counseling in Northern Virginia reported suffering domestic violence. Considering the high rates of domestic violence in their native countries in the Muslim world, the true numbers are likely higher. For example, 86% of married women in Egypt faced domestic abuse, 70% of women in Istanbul, Turkey and ‘honor killings’ are so common in Pakistan that they go unpunished.

One of the first big ‘Islamophobia’ hoaxes in America was the murder of Shaima Alawadi whose bloodied body was left alongside a note reading, “Go back to your country, you terrorist.” The actual murderer was her husband. It’s unknown how many similar family violence incidents blamed on ‘Islamophobia’ were actually carried out by spouses and parents.

Domestic violence is a major problem in Islam because it is endorsed by the Koran.  The holy book of Islam states, “Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the other” and “as for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them… and beat them.”

Al-Jazeera and other Islamist outlets have promoted domestic abuse as the solution. On one Al Jazeera show, a Sharia expert from Qatar’s Religious Ministry, advised that it was “better to lift the rod and bring her back to her senses.” A Gaza Islamic ‘scholar’ declared that  “The purpose of beating is to warn the wife that the life of the family is in danger.”

By shifting domestic violence away from law enforcement and toward a ‘Department of Community Safety’, Mamdani will be able to maintain a culture of domestic violence in his community without fear of police intervention. Much as with antisemitic violence, Mamdani is diverting the NYPD from responding to particularly those crimes that are sanctioned by Islam.

Islam sanctions violence against Jews and women. Mamdani is proposing to reengineer police responses in New York City so that domestic violence and antisemitic violence are covered up.

This is not classical police defunding so much as it is the exploitation of police defunding to cover up the crimes of the Muslim communities that Mamdani belongs to and which have invested a great deal of money and effort to back his takeover of New York City.

And the question is where will it end?

Domestic violence and antisemitic violence are only some of the crimes endorsed by Sharia Islamic law. Islam is a violent way of life and those are only some of the violent behaviors sanctioned by its teachings. How will Mamdani contrive to protect those crimes?

In the UK, British authorities colluded to cover up Muslim sex grooming gangs. Witnesses were threatened and suppressed. Sexually abused girls were left with the Muslim gangs abusing them. Parents were warned that they faced arrest if they dared try and save their daughters.

How long until these same crimes are covered up the same way in New York City?

    This could easily turn into a civil rights issue and get the Feds involved.
    Both Jews and women can be protected classes.

Unfortunately, fools aplenty, found almost entirely on the Left side of the political spectrum, do not and why America stands a very good chance of having a Muslim Marxist mayor of America’s largest city 25 years after 9/11 and 35 years after the demise of the Soviet Union.

      Mankind sometimes learns but usually not. Most of the time mankind is an idiot. Mamdani on the threshold of becoming NYC’s next mayor stands as testimony to the latter and certainly not in any manner to the former.

  9. As Mamdani was solidly supported by the 700000 Muslims in NYC, he prevailed in a 10 person primary contest. He will lose if in the November election his opponents are just two one independent and one Republican. In the City of 9/11/01 a Muslim cannot be voted as a Mayor

    *Of course he does*–the question is whether New Yorkers will go along with this madness.

    Note that originally socal workers were supposed to be dispatched *only* for non-violent issues, like a disruptive mentally ill person who was no threat, and who would–supposdly–themselved be at risk if police responded.

    But antisemitic attacks and domstic violence are not non-violent crimes–they are just commonly *Islamic* crimes.

    • When is beating up women or children not a violent crime that is the definition of domestic abuse right? Why do democrats have trouble with simple concepts like what is domestic abuse or what is a women?If a Christian beats up his wife it is a crime ,but a Moslem has an Islamic right to it if the women “asks” for it?

      • Many are now applying “Defund the Police’ to violent crimes, as well. Saying this would just apply to non-violent incidents was just the foot in the door.

Positioning moslems into positions of political power is backed by moslem and leftist money, power and political influence. Kahn is mayor of London. If Mammy is mayor of NYC, that will be the two biggest financial powerhouses of the Earth under moslem rule. I don’t know how many other “mayors” there are of Western cities, but every one of them is nothing but a nail in the coffin of Western Civilization. I can see the big blue cities of Texas going moslem. Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, etc. are all big leftist hell holes. Plano (north of Dallas) has already gone islamic with Epic City. If Mammy is elected, I see a very rapid collapse all over America. Some ghetto city in Michigan going islamic is one thing, NYC is another. Don’t let it happen.

    Mamdani will be a good slum landlord, rent will be cheap, nothing will work and the criminals will terrorize the neighborhoods.

  18. There is a sad logic to letting New York get what it voted for. Real New Yorkers will see the city crumble. The rest of the U.S. will see it as well. Does it have to come to that? This man is dangerous. He is a Marxist/Muslim rich kid of privilege. Non-Muslims will be in danger. Hopefully, New Yorkers will wake up in time. As the song goes it is up to you New York, New York.

  20. I suspect that Imam Mamdani will be the next mayor of New York City. But, most dark clouds have a silver lining if one looks hard enough.

    Mamdani’s promises are doomed to deliver failure and despair, as well as financial ruin. This will illuminate broadly the inherent incompetence of communism and the Islamic view of anything. Pity that New York will have to suffer for a while, but in the end these vermin will be “outed” and likely never again to win an election by a reasonably intelligent population.

It shouldn’t really be of a surprise that the soon to be mayor of New York City Zohran Mamdani wants the police to top responding to crimes committed by Muslims, the reader may be sure that most of those Muslims crimes would be criminals malicious actions committed against the Jewish people of NYC.

    Likewise, Mamdani had earlier said that “Israel should not exist.”

    In addition, Mamdani is member of a mosque that called for the annihilation of the Jewish State of Israel. After all, Islam is very ant-Jewish and therefore anti- Israel.

    Mamdani is very anti-Jewish and likewise anti- Israel So much so that before he had decided to run for mayor he had declared that he wanted to “Globalize the Intifada “ To this very day he has not denounced or retracted that statement.

    The former US President, William Howard Taft had, wisely,declared in a speech “Antisemitism is a noxious weed that should be cur out. It has no place in America.”

    Therefore, that dangerous anti- Jewish Muslim, Mamdani, is, in essence, therefore very un-American.

    As the former US President, Theodore Roosevelt, had well-spoken when he declared in a speech “There can be no fifty-fifty Americanism in this country. There is only room here for only hundred percent Americanism, only for those who are Americans and nothing else.”
