Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is fed up with the nonsense and lies about “mass starvation” in Gaza, and the world media’s adamant refusal to consider the evidence that Hamas has been releasing photographs of children with pre-existing congenital illnesses, such as cerebral palsy, and presenting them as “starving” and “close to death.” He also wanted to make clear just how much aid has been distributed to the Gazans by the Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. To date, two million meals have been served, but you almost never see this figure reported in the media.
Christine Douglass-Williams posted Netanyahu’s riposte here. A key excerpt:
Contrary to false claims, this is the best way to end the war, and the best way to end it speedily.
We will do so by first enabling the civilian population to safely leave the combat areas to designated safe zones. In these safe zones they will be given ample food, water and medical care, as we have done before. And again, contrary to false claims, our policy throughout the war has been to prevent a humanitarian crisis, while Hamas’s policy has been to create it.
Since the beginning of the war, Israel has let in close to 2 million tons of aid! I know of no other army that has enabled such aid to go to the civilian population in enemy territory.
Now, if we had a starvation policy, no one in Gaza would have survived after two years of war. But our policy has been the exact opposite. We’ve let in, as I said, almost 2 million tons of aid and sent millions of text messages, millions of phone calls, to Gazans to get out of harm’s way.
For weeks, hundreds of trucks loaded with aid have been brought into Gaza, but many of them have been looted by Hamas and what remains simply stays on the trucks, that cannot safely travel further into Gaza. They sit there, mute testimony to Hamas’ endless depredations. Despite this, the GHF has nonetheless managed to get in enough aid to supply more than one hundred million meals. Why isn’t this being reported? Prime Minister Netanyahu is not the only one who wants to know.
The purpose of this news conference is to puncture the lies and spread the truth. But that distortion has been propelled around the earth, almost the way that the Jewish people, who are maligned in the Middle Ages. Every massacre of the Jewish people was preceded by massive vilification. We were “spreading” – we were said to be “spreading vermin” to Christian society, we were said to be “poisoning the wells”, we were said to “slaughter Christian children for their blood”. And as these lies spread around the globe, they were followed by horrific, horrific massacres, pogroms, displacements, finally culminating in the worst massacre of them all – the Holocaust.
Mentioning the “blood libel” may at first be startling, but the more one thinks about the incredible worldwide campaign of vilification of the Jewish state and of Jews, the more fitting it seems.
Netanyahu also clearly laid out the five objectives of the campaign in Gaza:
First, to destroy Hamas as a military force.
Second, to obtain the release of all the hostages.
Third, to make sure that Gaza remains demilitarized.
Fourth, to remove all Israeli troops from Gaza.
Fifth,to turn the running of Gaza over to willing Arab governments.
Israel has no desire to remain in Gaza. It only wants to have its hostages back and to ensure that Hamas will never be able to threaten Israelis again. Who could object to this?
Practically the whole world, it seems. So malevolent are the charges brought against the IDF of “ethnic cleansing” and ”genocide,” so prevalent the herd mentality that was on display at the UN Security Council on August 10, another kangaroo court with Israel perennially in the dock, that Israel has to keep sweeping back the monstrous tide of error, and hope that some of the truth-telling from its defiant, and eloquent, prime minister and other Israeli officials will break through the carapace of lies.

Leaving a place for the terrorist originations like Hamass to regroup in an area next to Israel is a mistake. The Lion does not allow the pack of Jackels to remain any where near his or her pride lands. Nor should Isreal.

I disagree w/ Prime Minister Netanyahu on his last point – about Israel not wanting to run Gaza. Instead, they should work on President Trump’s proposal and find Arab countries – preferably far from Israel (like Somalia, Mauritania,….) – and scatter all Palestinians to those places
There was an interview of an Israeli “settler” who was removed from Gaza in 2005 during that handover: she had an interview where she described her future plans there. She also touched on President Trump’s idea for the place. In fact, that would be the best move: Israelis who lost their property in Gaza should get it back

I watched this last night, and people have to have a more balanced view and listen to what Israel says as well, because it adds up.
Yet Trump believed the fake news that Israel is starving Gaza, it proved to be a FAKE NEWS HOAX! The mother is always as thick as a hastack and the child is suddenly withered? I don’t think so. And if that is what you show, fake pictures over and over, then UOU DO NOT HAVE REAL ONES! Or you would show them!
The truth is Obama’s Hamas steals the food, and sells it to make a profit. They raid 95 percent of the UN trucks , ADMITTED BY THE UN!

If Israel is to survive it must control Gaza and probably deport all muslims/Islamic followers.

Very unfortunately Israel is losing the war both in public opinion and diplomatically. Talk of displacing the entire Gazan population does not sit very well. Besides those that do leave will move to sympathetic western countries — Arab countries don’t want them.
Israel must do more to counteract the war of information — the odd press conference by Bibi every few months just won’t suffice. A more concentrated effort to get the truth out on a non-stop regular basis would do a lot. Sometimes it’s not enough to ignore misinformation simply because its so outrageous. It must be countered. If that misinformation is being repeated ad nauseum and it’s the only thing people are hearing then they will come to believe it.

My upvote was meant to be in reference to what you wrote about the need to effectively counter the ubiquitous lies that vilify Israel.
However, about the possible relocation of “Palestinian” Arab current residents of Gaza:
Throughout the past century, there have been millions of non-Arab people who have been relocated because of wars—relocated people such as millions of Sudetenland Germans after World War II. And no one has batted an eye about that. That is because it was not Jews who relocated them, and because narratives were not invented about those relocated people being ancient indigenous residents of the places from where they were relocated. The true facts about the history of the Palestinian Arabs are part of the facts that need to be stated by representatives of Israel to the Western media. And if Israel would decide that “Palestinian Arab” current residents of Gaza—and Judea and Samaria—should be relocated, the U.S. government, and other Western governments, could easily pressure Arab states to take in those “Palestinian” Arabs, if those Western governments would have the will to exert such pressure.
