The Iranians know that there are some Americans who are stupid and gullible enough to think that paying this would be a fine idea and an admirable demonstration of the U.S. desire for peace. Such people may not be as deeply entrenched in the U.S. government as they used to be, however.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says he has exchanged messages with US envoy Steve Witkoff on restarting nuclear talks, telling the Americans that Tehran expects to be compensated for damage incurred in bombing attacks against its nuclear facilities ahead of negotiations, as it seeks “real confidence-building measures.”
“They should explain why they attacked us in the middle of… negotiations, and they have to ensure that they are not going to repeat that [during future talks],” he is quoted telling the Financial Times from Tehran. “And they have to compensate [Iran for] the damage that they have done.”
Nonetheless, Araghchi sounds an upbeat note on the prospect of talks aimed at curbing the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.
“The road to negotiation is narrow but it’s not impossible. I need to convince my hierarchy that if we go for negotiation, the other side is coming with real determination for a win-win deal,” he is quoted saying….

Evidently, he doesn’t understand the rules of war. To the winner, goes the spoils. The winner doesn’t have to pay for the damage done, just as this goon would refuse if his side had been bombing D.C.
He should be told “No,” and if that’s not enough, tell him he must re-pay Israel for the damage his military did and pay thousands for each one murdered or kidnapped in the horrendous attack in Oct.by the proxy, hamas.

How about a slight modification to the Iranians propose? Let’s tell them that if they don’t come to the negotiating table, we’ll bomb the hell out of their oil infrastructure. So they won’t be able to finance the nuke rebuild and their terror proxies.
