The Hill is, of course, a remorselessly leftist propaganda organ, and so it is not surprisingly echoing the party line here, accusing Gabbard and Trump of politicizing clearances when it was Obama and Biden who politicized the entire federal bureaucracy. Bitar was involved in the first attempt to impeach Trump, which was one of several coup attempts by the left and had no basis in any actual presidential malfeasance, and so he deserved this.
Also, Bitar is an Israel-hating ideologue. Back when he was a student at Georgetown University, Bitar was president of that university’s Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter. In the aftermath of Oct. 7, SJP has emerged as one of the most strident and actively menacing pro-Hamas groups on college and university campuses nationwide. A photo has emerged of young Bitar in his student days, dressed all in black and sporting a keffiyeh, raising a clenched fist in a room decorated with a sign reading “Divest From Israeli Apartheid.”

Among those on the list are several Biden administration officials, including Maher Bitar, who joined the National Security Council (NSC) after previously working for then-House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) amid the first Trump impeachment. Bitar has since returned to Schiff’s office, but he has captured the attention of right-wing activist Laura Loomer, who has complained on the social platform X about his retention of a clearance.
Emily Horne, an NSC spokesperson under Biden, also had her clearance revoked, as did Brett Holmgren, who most recently served as assistant secretary of State for intelligence and research and is married to former Biden White House counsel Dana Remus.

What the heck is Maher Bitar doing with taxpayer paid security??? Was he given a weapon? Why not give him the weapon of Palestinians, an RPG- Rocket Propelled Grenade so he can take out a synagogue! COngress allowed Adam Schiff to hire this wanna be terrorist? No wonder the Palestinian terrorist gangs feel so empowered. People at the highest level in the American Government is hiring the former President of Students for Justice in Palestine? And given Security Clearance by the American Government. Might as well hire high echelon members of Hamas or the PA to be given Security Clearance.
We’ve come a long way from the time that if you were a member of any Communist Party affiliate you couldn’t get any job let alone one with the United States Government to the time when former members of pro-terrorist organizations get US Security Clearance to guard a member of the US Congress. The Government was lucky this guy didn’t decide to assassinate a bunch of pro-Israel Congress people right in the halls of Congress.

No need for them to have security clearances. When one quits a job or is fired, that one has to hand over keys to doors, any car provided, access to the back and break rooms.
Many of these ones had no business having a security clearance in the first place. They were there to make trouble.
Besides the ‘no evidence’….evidence for denying the further clearance doesn’t have to be given to news sources….is not supported by anything the reporter reported.
