European Commission gives nearly $20 million for research of ‘Islamophobia’ and other Islam-related topics

Yeah, sure, Zaharieva. So where is your funding for scientifically excellent studies of jihad violence, Muslim rape gangs, and the like? Or is scientific excellence a quality that is only found among leftists and their allies?

The EU executive has pushed back against far-right criticism over the allocation of over €17 million in grants by the leading European Research Council (ERC) to Islam-related projects, insisting they won funding on scientific merit.

The European Commission has countered criticism from far-right political groups for allocating EU research funds over the past years on projects focused on subject matters like Islam, the Qur’an, Sharia, and Islamophobia….

In a response made public on Monday, the EU Commissioner for research, Ekaterina Zaharieva, stood by the European Research Council (ERC), the bloc’s scientific funding body, pointing out that the projects in question are “world-class scholarly undertakings that advance the frontiers of knowledge.”…

Examples of ERC-backed initiatives include a €2.5 million project led by France’s National Centre for Scientific Research, which is mapping the evolution of Sharia law and will run until 2029.

Another project, coordinated by Istanbul Bilgi University between 2018 and 2019, received €2.3 million to study the rise of populist and Islamophobic discourse in Europe.

At Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, researchers were awarded €2.3 million for a study completed in 2023 on the role of animals in Islamic philosophy. Meanwhile, Oxford University is conducting a €2.7 million project, running from 2021 to 2027, that examines the experiences of Muslim youth in Europe and the UK.

The Commission rejected allegations of bias, stressing that the ERC employs rigorous independent peer review in assessing proposals and that these grants were awarded through a transparent and highly competitive process.

  9. Send the money to Israel where real progress is made. Tel Aviv University’s Sagol Center for Regenerative Biotechnology should get the money for their spinal generation project. They are restoring full walking capacity to 80% of the test animals. Eight human patients are next.

    The Qur’an, Sharia, and Islamophobia are not scientific and a total waste of money that will be absorbed by white liberals who will produce a stack of paper that helps no one.

    As a black man in DC recently said, why is it that the protestors in the streets are all white liberals while we blacks are happy so see violent thugs taken off the streets so we can have a social, bullet-free, life in the neighborhood?

    The EU heads of state are working against their own citizens and the rise of conservative parties shows the citizens are doing something about it. Macron, Merz, and Starmer will soon be history for 2 reasons, persecuting free speech to CYA for Islam’s misbehavior and their involvement in the Ukraine war that is bankrupting Europe.

      Agree. Thats were the hundreds of billions of dollars should be going to and not to tunnels in Gaza. There wouldn’t be a single paraplegic suffering today if that was the case. Cancer would be conquered by now if all the funds spent on Muslim terrorism and fraudulent projects went to cancer research.

So as I understand this EU Commission is that lots of cash will be spent for everybody to learn that they are wrong about islamic teachings even though we know as a historical FACT that muslims love Adolf Hitler and he loved them back so much that he even created a special Platoon for them within his Military and that many SS Officers converted to islam.
    So some 80 years after Nazism was destroyed in Europe we now witness the EU Body supporting, defending and protecting those who love Adolf Hitler..
    Help me make sense of this.

  11. Islamophobia is simple, it is muslims/islamic followers breaking the laws of their host country, freeloading off of non-muslims, stealing, raping, and murdering in the name of ISLAM. And them us non muslim/islamic citizens complaining about it.

    When can I expect to get my share of the $20 million dollar payoff?
