Former Muslims such as I acknowledge that Islamic theology contains all of the characteristics of a common death cult. Death cults typically demand total obedience to and adulation of the cult leader — whose followers are to be killed if they attempt to leave. The cult of Mohammedanism, better known as the religion of Islam, certainly fulfills this criterion.
Upon close examination, we find that Islam is essentially a cult of personality centered around an illiterate human being named Muhammad Ibn Abdullah, who is said to have wandered the Arabian Peninsula roughly fourteen hundred years ago. Although Muhammad was likely a mythical figure created by a group of perverse Arab men for the purpose of acquiring power and booty, Muslims unfortunately believe that he really did exist and that his words are to be believed and enforced for all time.
Islamic theology teaches that Muslims are to obey Muhammad’s every word and example, no matter how depraved or outlandish, believing him to be the mouthpiece of Allah. Islamic theology (the Quran and Muhammad’s Sunnah) studied by the impartial person is clearly a poorly written jumble of lies designed to create a fear of hell in its adherents and offers false promises of a carnal paradise in the hereafter for those foolish enough to live and die for its demands.
Quran 33:21: Indeed in the messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for him who looks to Allah and the last day, and remembers Allah a great deal.
Further proof of Islam being essentially identical to a typical death cult, is the fact that its followers will turn with murderous intent on those who criticize its truth claims or if the demands of the group are denied. Another proof of Islam’s cult-like nature is the fact that if membership to the religion is offered to a non-Muslim, and the non-Muslim declines to join, the candidate is viewed as a despised enemy. Instead of teaching The Golden Rule that people ought to treat others as they themselves would like to be treated, Islam’s dogmatic texts teach that unbelievers are to be treated as vile second-class citizens and taxed or made war upon if they are unwilling to submit to such a status.
Quran 9:29: Fight against those do not believe in Allah or the last day, and do not forbid what Allah and his messenger have forbidden, and do not follow the religion of truth, even if they are among the people of the book, until they pay the jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.
Quran 98:6: Indeed, those who disbelieve from the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the Fire of Hell, to stay there forever. Those are the worst of creatures.
As with other death cults, Islam has a highly disparaging view of unbelievers and often prescribes horrific treatment of those who will not convert or bow to the will of the Muslim’s demands — as noted in the surahs above. Furthermore, the cult of Mohammedanism is highly bigoted towards women and other faith traditions and brutally authoritarian — with Muhammad and his version of God being the final arbiters of human affairs and Muhammad being humankind’s final prophet. There are several nearly identical passages in the fictitious Quran stating this.
Quran 16:89: And the day when we raise in every nation a witness against them from their own people, and we bring you as a witness against these. And we reveal the book to you as an explanation of all things, and a guidance and a mercy and good news for the Muslims.
Quran 33:40: Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets. And ever is Allah, of all things, Knowing.
Thanks to the online availability of access to the Quran and Muhammad’s saying and doings found in the hadiths and sira, the truth claims and respectability of the cult of Mohammedanism are becoming laughable, and people are leaving the religion in droves. One of the most dangerous aspects of religious cults is their authoritarian leadership. Cult leaders often claim to have exclusive spiritual knowledge or divine power, demanding absolute loyalty and obedience from followers. This can lead to psychological manipulation and the erosion of personal autonomy. Islam displays all of these disturbing traits.
In extreme cases, such as in the case of Islam, cults can become violent or engage in criminal activities, putting their members and the wider community at risk. The longterm effects of cult involvement can include trauma, emotional scars, and difficulty reintegrating into society.
It’s crucial to stay informed and vigilant about the warning signs of death cults to protect individuals and society from their harmful influence.
In fairness, it ought to be said that there are many Muslims that do not act upon all of the Islamic texts and teachings as the texts themselves instruct to do. Fortunately, these Muslim’s overlook the many abhorrent teachings to be found in this supposedly perfect religion. Those who do not act upon Islam’s many ethically awful teachings are simply disregarding them. This is the reason why they are considered to be lax or hypocrital Muslims, and get harassed and often killed by their more orthodox “true believer” coreligionists.
Ironically, it is arguably the honorable lax Muslims, the ones who disregard the evils of Islamic theology, believing the religion to be good and true, that are some of the most harmful Muslims. For these individuals promote and proliferate this destructive cult and the societal ills that inevitably accompany it. Many ex-Muslim’s attest to the fact that they were lied to by their parents or their Imams about the goodness of Islam — but abandoned it when the falsity and perverse morality of the religion became apparent to them.
Due to the fact that Islam is a highly immoral religion (see Islam’s allowance of sex slavery, pedophilia and the killing of homosexuals, among other ethical evils), it is of paramount importance to ascertain whether Muhammad was good human being and the final messenger of Allah, as Islamic theology claims him to be. Or was he in reality an evil madman and false prophet? Or is he a mythical figure that the ancient Arabs invented to justify their military conquests? Due to the fact that Islamic theology is overflowing with profound immorality, absurdities, and a highly suspect historical lineage, it seems likely that Muhammad was either a madman or a fictitious figure — but certainly not a messenger of God.
One of the most intriguing inquiries into the life of the Muhammad has been undertaken by the Canadian ex-Muslim, Ali Sina. Sina’s book is entitled Understanding Muhammad: A Psychobiography of Allah’s Prophet. In this book, Sina explains through rigorous examination of the Islamic texts that if Muhammad did indeed exist, he was a malignant narcissist on par with history’s most evil criminals. Well, all those embracing or supporting a malevolent ideology are indeed devoid of proper knowledge and thus ignorant. And even assuming your use of the word “unknowingly” was not optimal, your article taken in its entirety was eminently on point about how the most influentially wicked religion of all time still plagues all of mankind to this day.

Perhaps the whole purpose of the Tribulation — to bring people struggling through those horrible years to Christ Jesus — will save millions of Muslims. As their armies are destroyed by God’s own Hand — with blood up to the horses’ bridles – the Hand of God will move on earth unlike anything since the Ten Plagues of Egypt. Perhaps He will simply reduce every mosque and Qur’an to dust in an instant, something that even the most fanatical Muslim will clearly see as divine condemnation. My prayer is millions come to Christ through the Tribulation, of all faiths or no faiths or misdirected faiths, not out of joy that Islam’s lies are exposed but because the one Truth is revealed.
