It’s hard to imagine that any woman in Kandahar would at this point even contemplate venturing out unveiled.
“Taliban warn Kandahar shopkeepers not to sell to unveiled women: Sources,” by Ahmad Azizi, Amu, August 9, 2025 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Taliban authorities in Kandahar have warned shopkeepers that they could face imprisonment if they sell goods to women who do not wear Taliban-approved hijab, local sources told Amu.
The order, delivered verbally last week by officials from the Taliban’s Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, applies particularly to merchants in the modern markets of the Aino Mina neighborhood. Shopkeepers were instructed either to refuse service to women entirely or to sell only to those wearing what the Taliban deem proper attire.
Several vendors said the restriction has hurt their businesses, as many female customers now avoid the markets out of fear of harassment or punishment. “Women no longer dare to come shopping,” one shopkeeper said. “The market has lost its bustle.”…

The UN, the OIC and the 50 plus muslim majority countries,(and the UN) like UAE, Indonesia, Saudi, Jordan etc…..do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to end this terrorism against Afghan women. But the west keep gnashing our teeth and whining as if we could do something to influence islam or their sharia.
It is up to islam to reform as they all profess. Otherwise………not our business. All we can do is sanction them, do no business with them or countries who do business with them, and deny them entry, See how lengthy will survive.

Pre-Taliban, the women in Afghanistan dressed in very nice western garb, The videos that I have seen showed them in dresses, reminiscent of the 1950’s here in the US. Most women don’t want to be bagheads, but rather dress as they want to fel attractive.

Why doesn’t the Taliban introduce online deliveries, where men can deliver things that women order from their phone apps? I’m sure that they can get all that tech from China and do pretty well, since the Taliban wanted to be a part of belt/road
That would solve their “problem”

Just as Obama created the vacuum that led to ISIS, Joe Biden opened the door for the Taliban to take over Afghanistan unhindered. Reform of Islam in any Muslim country is not an option and as long as Islam is in control under whatever leadership it takes, there will always be such oppression, restriction and forced guidelines. It is ingrained in the doctrine.
