Francesca Albanese is a deep-dyed antisemite and, fittingly, the UN’s Special Rapporteur on Conditions in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, a position in which she is able to give full vent to her pathological condition — antisemitism. She accuses Israel, without the slightest evidence, of committing “war crimes” in Gaza, and of committing “genocide” against the “Palestinian people.” Now the American government will no longer limit itself to criticizing Albanese’s pronouncements. Instead, Secretary of State Mario Rubio on July 10 declared that American sanctions will be imposed on the egregious Albanese, citing in particular Albanese’s push for the prosecution of Israeli officials at the ICC as the legal basis for the sanctions.
More on the American government’s decision to impose sanctions on this antisemitic apparatchik can be found here: “US Clamps Sanctions on Israel-bashing UN Rights Monitor Albanese,” by Corey Walker, Algemeiner, July 9, 2025:
The Trump administration has imposed sanctions against Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur for the Occupied Palestinian Territories, citing the UN official’s lengthy record of singling out Israel for condemnation.
In a post on X, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the sanctions under a February executive order targeting those who “prompt International Criminal Court (ICC) action against U.S. and Israeli officials, companies, and executives.” He accused Albanese of waging “political and economic warfare” against both nations and asserted that “such efforts will no longer be tolerated.”
“Today I am imposing sanctions on UN Human Rights Council Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese for her illegitimate and shameful efforts to prompt [International Criminal Court] action against U.S. and Israeli officials, companies, and executives,” Rubio announced on X/Twitter.
“Albanese’s campaign of political and economic warfare against the United States and Israel will no longer be tolerated,” declared the Trump administration’s top foreign affairs official. “We will always stand by our partners in their right to self-defense.”…
The decision to impose sanctions on Albanese marks an escalation in the ongoing feud between the White House and the United Nations over Israel. The Trump administration has repeatedly accused the UN and Albanese of unfairly targeting Israel and mischaracterizing the Jewish state’s conduct in Gaza….
Far from committing “genocide,” as Albanese repeatedly asserts that the IDF is doing, the IDF does everything it can to minimize civilian casualties by warning Gazans to avoid certain sites and buildings about to be targeted. To this end, the IDF has dropped millions of leaflets, sent millions of text messages, and made millions of robocalls. Hamas, on the other hand, wants to maximize civilian casualties, to score propaganda points against the hated Zionists. Hamas routinely hides its fighters, weapons, and rocket launchers in civilian areas, hoping that Israeli attacks in such areas will cause many civilian casualties. Israel’s multifaceted program to warn civilians away from areas about to be targeted, and thereby to minimize civilian casualties, led British Colonel Richard Kemp, the veteran of a half-dozen wars and military campaigns, and the commander of British forces in Afghanistan, to conclude that the IDF “is the most moral army in the world. And West Point Professor of Urban Warfare John Spencer, having studied the Gaza war since its inception, has written that “Israel has implemented more precautions to prevent civilian harm than any military in history—above and beyond what international law requires.”
Albanese, an Italian lawyer and academic, has held the position of UN special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories since 2022. The position authorizes her to monitor and report on alleged “human rights violations” by Israel against Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza….
Apparently the “human rights violations” by Hamas, with its long history of torturing and killing dissidents opposed to its rule, are of no interest to Albanese. Her title is “Special Rapporteur on Conditions in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.” Why won’t she also investigate the “conditions” that are created by Hamas, instead of limiting herself to the conditions attributable to the IDF? As of now, there is no body or individual at the UN that monitors how the terror group Hamas treats the people it rules over in Gaza. Albanese, it seems, has no real interest in the well-being of the people in Gaza; she is only interested in denouncing and demonizing the Jewish state.
Another key metric used by students of war in judging how a war is being conducted is the civilian-to-combatant ratio of deaths. The UN has said that in all the wars fought since 1945, that ratio has averaged 9-to-1, that is, nine civilian deaths for every combatant killed. In the war in Afghanistan, the American military managed to achieve a civilian-to-combatant ratio of 4:1, and in the Iraq War, caused it to be lower still, at 3:1. But in Gaza, the IDF has lowered that ratio to 16,200:24,000, that is, about 2:3, a ratio that has not been achieved by any other military in the world. Again, would Francesca Albanese explain how that data supports the charge of “genocide”?

Does that mean that she can be arrested if she is in New York, even on UN business? Or simply that she wouldn’t have any visa to enter the US even on UN business?
A welcome decision, whichever of the above outcomes it results in

My question is what are the sanctions?

Sanctions against iran, eventually led to bombing, to missiles, to several upper ghoul deaths.
What will they mean against the ghoul at the u.n.? The ugly, inside and out, creature should be reaping.

She is an antisemite as is the UN. The Israeli side is never considered.
We need to defund the UN.
American citizens are outraged that our tax dollars are wasted on these intolerant nations.
