The UK Online Safety Act is the sister to Canada’s Online Harms Act (Bill C-63), which was introduced in 2024 under Justin Trudeau. Both bills are fascist government crackdowns on speech that exposes government flaws, and both bills were presented to the public as laws “geared at protecting children.”
Canada’s Online Harms Act died in the House of Commons when parliament was prorogued in January 2025, following Trudeau’s resignation. Let’s hope Britons vehemently oppose this censorship bill.
Starmer is already at enmity with his own people. He’s admittedly lost control of the immigration crisis, fears more public riots, and is desperate to hold onto power as his popularity dives to unprecedented lows.
This new bill will sink Starmer even further in the polls, especially now as Trump called him out.

Donald Trump has said censoring his Truth Social website “would be a mistake,” with Sir Keir Starmer telling the US President that the UK is “committed to free speech”.
Speaking as the pair met at Trump’s Turnberry golf course in Scotland on Monday, the president said he thinks it’s ‘unlikely’ his website would be censored, when asked if the UK’s Online Safety Act will affect it.
“I cannot imagine him (Starmer) censoring Truth Social … I only say good things about him and his country,” he told reporters in Turnberry, Scotland.
Starmer defended the Online Safety Act, saying “we’re not censoring anyone”, and that the laws are geared at protecting children…

If he refuses to touch Truth Social out of fear of Trump, and makes no attempt to have Truth Social censor any Brit on it, then that will lead to Brits flocking to Truth Social in droves, and leaving @X & other platforms that go along w/ Ofcom. Even Ofcom won’t be able to touch Truth Social. That ultimately could make Truth Social eclipse @X, Facebook & other such platforms in Britain

For us Americans, it won’t make a difference, since we don’t live there. But the Brits who are do have to worry: not only would their comments be blocked/deleted, but they’d also be arrested and given far harsher sentences than non-muslim child rapists who haven’t converted to islam. That’s why I noted in another thread that Russia now looks like a freer country than Britain: too bad either that they don’t speak English, or that we don’t speak Russian

You are not wrong about Russia and the UK. I served during the Cold War and was very familiar with how Russia operated within their own borders. It is like the two countries switched places.

Trump telling the babbling Starmer to shut-up – “That’s enough!” – was absolutely hysterical.
It was like seeing any boss lose patience at a sales-meeting with a subordinate trotting out a list of lies and excuses to cover his lack of performance.

Trump should just write how he wants to take over the UK and impose sharia law and post to migrants about how to come in and get free rent. Then I think this would help his account and get it under review to be put back up.
