The UN’s Francesca Albanese’s War Against the Jewish State

Francesca Albanese, the UN’s Special Rapporteur on Conditions in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, accuses Israel, which makes tremendous efforts to avoid civilian casualties and has managed to hold war-related deaths of civilians to less than 1% of Gaza’s total population, of “genocide.” That word — “genocide” — has become her mantra. Albanese has just been barred from entering the United States. At the next session of the UN General Assembly, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio should appear, and explain in detail what are the necessary elements of “genocide.” He should then describe the enormous efforts Israel makes to minimize casualties in Gaza by using every possible means, and cite the lack of “intent” to commit “genocide,” note the civilian-to-combatant ratio of 2:3 in Gaza, and hold up for inspection and ridicule Albanese’s repeated charge of “genocide,” as a way to explain to the General Assembly why, because her persistent antisemitic malevolence in pushing the ICC to arrest Netanyahu and Gallant, the Americans have decided to impose sanctions on Francesca Albanese. In the months following the Palestinian terrorist group’s atrocities across southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, Albanese accused the Jewish state of perpetrating a “genocide” against the Palestinian people in revenge for the attacks and circulated a widely derided and heavily disputed report alleging that 186,000 people had been killed in the Gaza war as a result of Israeli actions.

That absurd claim reposted approvingly by Albanese in 2024, that  “186,000 people” had already been killed in Gaza — more than three times the number killed as reported by Hamas a year later — has been thoroughly shredded and discredited by investigators, who found that the report relied both on false assumptions and faulty data. Since that exhaustive criticism, no one has continued to mention that preposterous claim of “186,000” dead, except for one person — Francesca Albanese.

What will it take to get the UN Human Rights Commission, which hired Albanese, to now fire her for her sustained demonization of the Jewish state, constantly accusing it of committing “war crimes” and “genocide”? Perhaps the American sanctions just placed on her will do the trick.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk on Thursday urged “the prompt reversal of U.S. sanctions against” Albanese.

“UN Special Rapporteurs, along with other parts of the human rights ecosystem, address – by their nature – sensitive and often divisive issues, that are of international concern,” he said in a statement.

“Even in face of fierce disagreement, UN Member States should engage substantively and constructively, rather than resort to punitive measures,” Türk said.

“Attacks and threats against Special Procedures mandate holders, as well as key institutions like the International Criminal Court, must stop,” he said. “The solution is not less, but more, debate and dialogue on the very real human rights concerns they address.”…

Fortunately, the Trump administration will treat with contempt Volker Türk’s defense of the indefensible — that is, Francesca Albanese’s war against the Jewish state. Türk should be reminded that the ICC has no power to compel either Israel or the United States to follow its dictates, as neither country has agreed to be subject to its jurisdiction.

What will it take to have the UN Human Rights Council fire Albanese as “Special Rapporteur”? Perhaps the action of the Trump administration, in imposing sanctions on her, and explaining at great length exactly what she has done ever since she began working as the Special Rapporteur in 2022, to deserve such treatment, will convince other countries that are currently members of the UN Human Rights Council, that hired her, to now agree to her dismissal.

Albanese now lives in Tunis, and neither she, nor any of her family members, will any longer be allowed to enter the United States. And her financial assets in the U.S. are also to be frozen as well. She will no longer be allowed to come to the United States to appear at the U.N., or go on well-paid lecture tours where she can spread her antisemitic poison. No doubt there are other sanctions that will in time be revealed. Right now, Francesca Albanese is down, but given her energizing antisemitism, don’t yet count her out.

Why does the US have to support the UN Human Rights Council, especially asking it to sanction Albanese, when it is they who have championed all this anti western, and anti Israel verbiage and distorted history? The US should disavow any relation or acknowledgement of the UN Human Rights Council, period. It has been a rediculous Jew hating, western hating, political mechanism, long ago hijacked by tyrants and political entities that only wish to overtake the US and force it out of any control. Remember when Iran chaired the Council several years ago?

        • Took you two days do think of that witty responds rarely ? Ask the PM of Canada whose wife lives in NYC and has duel citizenship in both Canada and Ireland for income tax reasons. You know the PM who is chummy with China while America taxpayers pick up the lions share of arm forces ,money ,ships ,planes to defend Canada saving the Canada taxpayer billions. You know the one who will cave on tariffs on American goods to avoid the greater tariff on Canada goods. He is going to protect you Canadians from mean orange man and the 325 million Americans who help keep your economy afloat. That is what he ran on that America was going to jackboot over the border and steal all your maple syrup ,lumber , or maybe pay your far share in NATO?

          Try not to believe everything Trump (AKA “THE bully”) says — most often he’s just posturing.
          For the past 200 years it’s been a pretty good two way street between Canada and the US — without the bullying. The U.S. has benefitted as much by the relationship as has Canada — probably even more so. It’s only because of the difference in population that a breakdown in that relationship would cause more damage to Canada thereby leaving Canada open to bullying (i.e. economic blackmail).
          The U.S. hasn’t spent 5 cents on it’s military to defend Canada per se. The spending has been to protect the U.S. BTW, the only threat to Canada’s security in the past 80 years is from “you know who”.

        • I do not know who Rarely is it the Chinese or the Russians ?Who , ? Mean old orange man demanding that Canada pay its full share of the NATO bill? Or mean orange man demanding a cut on the outrages tariffs on American good sold in Canada ?Does the Canada freely dealing with China mean that Canada will have join miltary training exercises in the near future ,or let the Chinese help run the banking industry their in the near future? How much land does the large scale corporation from China own in Canada at this time (the corporation are just an arm of the Chinese government).You said America has not spent 5 cents of its miltary budge on defending Canada ?I guess being on the border of America and America paying the lions share of NATO and have a miltary force at least 35 times the size of Canada, s gives Canada a chance to not have to spend many billions on its own defense ,because who would want to invade Canada China can just buy it up peace meal ?Why did your new PM when he was running a hedge fund before he moved from Ireland back to Canada to run for PM move all its investment monies from Canada back to investments in America in a new office in NYC? The offices where in Toronto ,he close all of them why ?

  8. Ich kann nur hoffen, dass sich viele Länder den USA anschließen, diese Person und ihre extremistischen Unterstützer auf die Sanktionsliste zu setzen und sie zur “persona non grata” markieren.
    Ich erwarte auch von meiner Regierung in Deutschland und von den Eurokraten in Brüssel, dass das UNRWA nicht mehr unterstützt wird und jede Form von Pro-Hamas- Propaganda, ob auf unseren Straßen, an unseren Schulen und Universitäten und im Netz mit allen Mitteln bekämpft wird. Dazu gehören Maßnahmen wie Remigration, Entzug von Visa, Duldungen und Aufenhaltsgenehmigungen widerrufen bis zum Entzug der deutschen Staatsbürgerschaft.   12. Just seen a petition on Change.org for Albanese to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. She sounds just the sort of person they would choose, as well.
