The Justice Department has charged a Pakistani national who allegedly orchestrated a $650 million fraud scheme that primarily targeted an Arizona Medicaid program offering addiction treatment and other services for Native Americans.
Court papers say the defendant, Farrukh Ali, conspired with at least 41 substance abuse clinics to bill the state for hundreds of millions of dollars for substance abuse services that were never provided, not provided as billed or were medically unnecessary. Many of the patients who were enrolled — but not given legitimate treatment — were recruited from the homeless population or Native American reservations, officials say.
Ali, who is not in U.S. custody and is believed to be in Pakistan, faces conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering charges. He could not be reached for comment.
According to prosecutors, he owned and operated a company called ProMD Solutions LLC, which was organized in Arizona but based in Pakistan. The firm provided credentialing and enrolling, medical coding and billing services for medical practices, court papers say.

Ali personally received approximately $24.5 million of AHCCCS funds as a result of the scheme, and he used $2.9 million of the funds to purchase a home located on a golf estate in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Will Pakistan extradite Ali? I can guess the answer. What about the UAE?

I am not at all surprised. Here where I live, I’m swear they are all corrupt and stealing, all the patients are faking and playing games. It is difficult for people who actually do have medical issues to get it sorted out. But these people work together with their own people to make fake disability, fake things , even with American citizens.
You would be floored if you knew how many stay home and do nothing but collect.

If the government wanted to find fraud, they should and would look at every moz scummy owned business. They have used the many handouts to line their pockets, while those who are honest, get the shaft.
Every person who has Medicare and or Medicaid, and goes to see a doctor, will get an EOB from the government. Those papers…actual paper so no computers needed….tell the patient what the doctor charged, why it was charged (the procedure, office visit, etc.) how much the government paid, how much is left and how much the patient will be billed by the doctor. And if they don’t read English, they get it in whatever language they do read.
The patient is supposed to look at the EOB and if there are any errors, such as the patient never saw said doctor or nothing was done, no tests, etc. the patent is supposed to tell the government.
I’m wondering how many mo’s and achmeds are the named patients, and how many millions they were given for beach houses.
It’s possible for the average Joe to find out who owns a property. So the government, with all those expensive computers and all those agencies which tell honest people “No,” could find out what businesses…medical or otherwise…are owned by criminal mozzies.
