New in PJ Media:
Ketanji Brown Jackson is a justice of the Supreme Court, one of only nine people who have the awesome responsibility of serving as the guardians of our constitutional system. It is the high court’s prerogative to judge whether any given law or act of the executive or legislative branch is in accord with the principles of the U.S. Constitution or violates them. It’s understandable that Jackson, as well as the other justices, would feel some strain over bearing this awesome responsibility, and indeed, on Thursday, she disclosed that she suffers through some sleepless nights.
Is she worrying that she might not decide important cases in a manner that accords with the Constitution? Is she worried that she might allow her own political view to interfere with her administration of blind and impartial justice? Is she concerned about the leftist pro-abortion thugs who menaced the homes of her pro-life Supreme Court colleagues during the dark days of the Biden regime, and the lingering threat that such open and unrepentant attempts to intimidate and frighten the justices pose to the health of our republic?
No, of course not, silly. For her to have been worried about such things, Ketanji Brown Jackson would have to be Antonin Scalia. Jackson appeared at an event for the Indianapolis Bar Association on Thursday, where she was asked tough, hardball questions, according to the New York Post, about “topics including favorite books and songs.” When she was asked about what gave her sleepless nights, however, Jackson responded with the utmost seriousness: “I would say the state of our democracy.”
Oh, brother. Yes, she really said that. What is keeping Ketanji Brown Jackson, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America, awake at night is a Democrat talking point that leftists use to attack the Trump administration. Not only is worry about “the state of our democracy” a Democrat talking point; it’s also a shallow piece of propaganda that is based on a falsehood. As everyone in the country except leftists knows by now, we do not live in a “democracy,” and never have.
The U.S. is a constitutional, representative republic, a fact that Democrats and leftists in general wish to obscure, for if they can convince enough people that we really do live in a democracy, they’ll start wondering why presidents aren’t elected by a simple majority of all the voters. The electoral college is designed to prevent highly populated areas from exercising tyranny over the rest of the country, which is something no one minded until it gave us two Republican presidents, George W. Bush in 2000 and Donald Trump in 2016. After that, leftists totally forgot that we live in a republic, and have been obsessively nattering on about “our democracy,” undaunted even by Trump’s winning the popular vote in 2024.

One worries when a woman, also a SCOTUS Judge, doesn’t know what a woman is and collects $2.9 million for a book deal. Of course, book deals are a staple of SCOTUS Judges and one would never consider that they could influence judges decisions or lead to conflicts of interest – perish the thought.

Westman,
And, for the most part, these books are not even actually read by the average person.
Money-laundering?
Westman says
Yes, James, I expect they drop from the best-seller list quickly. It would be interesting to know if any make a profit and the numbers. The Satanic Verses sold over a million copies and at those early hard copy prices should have brought in at least $20 million. I doubt any of the SCOTUS authors have matched it.
The money source is likely legitimate though the intent may be to influence.
For the Fatwa and attack on Rushdie, Khamanei and his Mullahs all deserve the personal attention of Mossad and Khomenni’s grave deserves the attention of the IAF.

Exactly!

Here’s a thought, autopen by Biden admin. Can she be removed if autopen Biden Admin any form put her on the Supreme Court?
Keys says
Wonderful thought.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
She wasn’t an Autopen nominee: Biden did talk about her, committing to putting a Black woman on SCOTUS, before picking her. There are a lot of things that the Autopen did that warrant an investigation: her nomination wasn’t one of them
PRCS USN (ret) says
“committing to putting a Black woman on SCOTUS, before picking her”
Senator Blackburn could have/should have asked her–straight up–are you a black woman?
40 rounds says
She is tits on a boar and stupid to boot–and we’re stuck with it(can’t say her, that would be inappropriate) for life potentially
Transmaster says
I think that Ketanji Brown Jackson is going to be squeezed out by Justice Sotomayor. Sotomayor is openly critical of Jackson. I don’t know the dynamics of the Supreme Court, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Jackson gets an offer from one of the Ivy League schools for a professorship and departs. Can you imagine the utter disaster this would be for the Democrats?

First of all, a “judge” or in this creature’s case, ‘justices,’ are not allowed by Law to express an opinion on politics. They are not even allowed to say for whom they will vote. This creature…female though she is, doesn’t know it…is breaking the Law by aligning herself with those who keep saying the President is destroying their ‘democracy.’
She was alone for the last vote of the Court…8-1….and she had a lot to say about the others.
Generally, a newbee at a job will listen and learn and take notes so the newbee can see what is proper and what is not.
jackson is the newbee…put there for her color and her gender, even though she doesn’t know what her gender is…and yet, she seems to believe that she knows more and has more experience understanding the Constitution than all of the others.
The Court had a say on ‘birthright’ citizenry, but a lower court ‘judge’ has decided he can rule otherwise for the entire country. If jackson was still on a lower court, her ‘rulings’ would likely go against the Court too.
As for knowing what a women is, she should listen to the Queen of Soul sing about ‘feeling “like a natural woman”.’ Aretha never claimed to be a biologist.
brown jackson should just resign and find another outlet for her anger. If she chose that route, the Court would let out a big sigh….and so would many citizens.

I’ll tell you the real reason why she can’t sleep. It’s Guilt. She is suffering from the guilt of taking a job she knows she is not qualified to fulfill. She realizes now after being on the bench with much greater legal minds that she should have passed on Biden’s offer. She knows that there are only nine Judges on the Highest Court in the land. And she clearly doesn’t rate. She is intelligent enough to realize that.
somehistory says
I cannot agree, Rick.
If she truly can’t sleep, it may be that her husband snores. Or perhaps she’s not sure which outfit to wear to Court as it will be covered up anyway. I don’t believe she has enough intelligence to know that she knows less than the Court clerks.
40 rounds says
I agree with you, it never crossed her mind that she might be wholly incompetent
somehistory says
Thank you, 40.
Didn’t Clint say, “A man’s got to know his limitations”? So do women. But part of her problem is, she can’t even tell which of the two she is.
James Lincoln says
Ketanji Brown Jackson – tragically, a justice of the US Supreme Court – all due to progressive DEI.
Can you imagine her actually debating someone like Sen. Ted Cruz?
40 rounds says
No, because she’s an imbecile
somehistory says
The actor, Orson Bean, could have mopped the floor with her.
Wellington says
She would of course, James, fail miserably because, per an old line, she’s two tacos short of a full combo platter.
OLD GUY says
Kamala Harris another progressive DEI almost made it to the Presidency of America. Thank GOD, Trump was the alternative to that disaster.

What a twit…
Her’s one of her most illiterate quotes:
“I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunities that I’ve had in life. I believe it’s my obligation to teach my children to refrain from casting expulsions on others because of their life circumstances.”
What, exactly, is “casting expulsions”?
somehistory says
g, She likely meant “aspersions” but like many didn’t know the real pronunciation nor spelling of the word.
Or perhaps, she really meant expulsions, thinking that was the proper word for speaking badly of someone.
She has no problem speaking bad about the President or the other Justices with whom she disagrees. Perhaps she would like to ‘expel” them all, as in “expulsions.”
Andrew Blackadder says
Tell a lie, tell a big one and tell it often and it will become its own truth… Herr Goebbels.
this is the tactic of The Left, the Democrats, and idiots like this Jackson woman who does not even know America is a Republic and not a Democracy.
God help us…
Kagman says
Time to wake the …. up and start dealing with truth and hard fact. This creature’s brain is smaller per unit body mass, has fewer neural folds and an atrophied prefrontal cortex. This compromised neural array is fueled by blood with levels of testosterone approaching that on a 50 year old man. Those differences are just the tip of the iceberg.
We need to have the courage to call a spade a spade (pun intended) They are different than us and have zero business deciding weighty issues. On first inspection, this idiot had the audacity to make political statements – expressly forbidden for a S.C. Justice to do.
Expunge this ape. She, or any black, has no business in positions of authority or power
somehistory says
Justice Thomas has done a tremendously good job in the position of SC. Justice.
On the other hand, kagan…White….has not done so well, as some other Whites before her…both male and female….also fell short of good decisions/opinions.
brown jackson is an arrogant idiot who likes to criticize the ones who disagree with her…happening a lot recently.
Kagman says
I’m not ignoring those facts. Yes. I do like Thomas. I will say his rulings and opinions are one dimensional and often parrots other conservatives on the court. Neighbors I’d welcome include Thomas Sowell and Candice Owens Kagan is NOT White nor does she consider herself so. She’s Jewish. It’s no small distinction as most Jews make clear – at least when it behooves them to do so. I want to keep this focused but, boy, is this one big can of worms.
We need to start dealing with reality… A reality in many ways we acknowledge: They’re different and different in a lot of bad ways. How do we acknowledge? 400 points on SAT scores gifted. Acceptance into medical schools with dismal MCAT scores and having to take Organic Chem multiple times. That’s one hell of an acknowledgement. Their DEI placement in Boeing has caused planes to fall out of the sky with hundreds of deaths. We need to deal with the fact our extensive efforts to integrate them has failed and failed dismally. ‘Kentanji’ is a very dangerous continuation of this trend. Fun fact: Woke Psychiatrists dropped the ‘retarded’ IQ score from 85 to 75 because close to half the black population would be so considered.
We’re killing ourselves. It needs to stop
somehistory says
It is not always possible for Gentiles to identify a Jew. But, there were other Whites ….non-Jews….on the Court who made awful rulings. Color or Race is not the most important factor in who can make good judgments.
I have read many opinions by Thomas, and he doesn’t just parrot others. I have read many where he stood alone in what he said, even if others dissented from the majority.
As for Mr. Sowell, yes, he is very well-spoken, well-written. owens….not so much.
I have had many Black friends who were intelligent, but not in the circle of well-known people, so I can’t name them here for reference.
Color, as in my opinion, is not the most important thing to consider.
When it comes to the Court, they need to know the Constitution and not allow personal opinions or biases to guide them.
As for kagan, she’s still stupid. and so is sotomayor….not a “wise Latino woman” at all.
