The IDF struck three Houthi-controlled naval ports, a power station, and a ship used for terror purposes docked in Yemen early Monday morning.
The Israel Air Force attacked the Hodeidah, Ras Issa, and Al-Salif ports. In a statement, the IDF noted that these three ports were “used by the Houthi terrorist regime to transfer weapons of the Iranian regime that are used to carry out terrorist plots against the State of Israel and its allies.”…
These targets have been hit before by the Israeli Air Force. But each new attack damages the sites still more. The three ports of Hodeidah, Ras Issa, and Al Salif, have with this latest attack likely been so damaged as no longer to be fit for receiving weapons shipments sent by Iran. In addition, the Galaxy Leader, a ship that the Houthis had hijacked two years ago and used to monitor the movement of ships in the Red Sea was also a target of the Israeli Air Force in the latest attack, and has apparently suffered great damage. The on-board radar used to track shipping has been destroyed. So far the ship is still afloat, but listing. It is no longer of any use to the Houthis in tracking shipping in the waterway.
Houthi channels claimed that the group confronted the Israeli strike with missiles….
This claim is mere bravado by the Houthis, signaling that they are still capable of retaliating against the Zionist enemy. But Israel reports no Houthi missiles landing in the country. Either they fell harmlessly into the Red Sea or, more likely, were not launched in the first place. Given the newly-inflicted damage to the airport in Sanaa and to the three ports under Houthi control, it is doubtful that the Houthis will be able to be resupplied with weapons from Iran. But over the past few years, and with Iranian help, the Houthis have been able to manufacture missiles in Yemen itself. The reports on Israel’s latest attacks have failed to mention that among the targets hit was a missile factory. The IDF is determined both to prevent Iranian weapons from being transferred to the Houthis, and to halt the Houthis’ own efforts at building missiles. With this latest wide-ranging attack they appear to have achieved both aims.
Israel’s latest attack on Houthi targets, prompted by the Houthi attack on a commercial vessel, the Magic Seas, was wide-ranging and effective. A huge electric power plant was destroyed. The three ports where Iran in the past has delivered weapons to the Houthis, have again been hit, and suffered still more damage to their infrastructure. It’s unclear to what extent they are still functioning. The Israelis also, according some reports, struck a missile production site; it was believed that the Houthis had been producing between three and ten missiles every week; now that facility is out of commission. The Houthis still have an ever-diminishing store of missiles that they received in the past from Iran, or manufactured themselves. But how long, do you think, those missiles will last?
The Houthis, those qat-chewing, rifle-toting, Allahu-akbaring primitive fanatics out of central casting, need to realize that Israel has smashed Hamas, which has lost control of 80% of Gaza, and lost half of its fighters. It has so weakened Hezbollah that the Lebanese Army is no longer afraid to take it on. By so weakening Hezbollah, an ally of Assad on whose help he had been counting, Israel helped to topple the Assad regime, and as soon as Assad fled to Moscow, the IDF began systematically to destroy the Syrian military’s assets, including six airbases, dozens of planes, tanks, artillery, and other weapons — a huge stockpile of weapons destroyed on the ground. Neither Hamas, nor Hezbollah, nor Syria is now a threat to Israel. That is why the IDF can now pay much more attention to dealing with the Houthis, who don’t yet seem to realize just how perilous is their current situation.

And so thanks again to the only free nation in the Middle East, which so many in the West still do not appreciate nearly enough if at all. Indeed, such ignoramuses have become more and more extensive in one Western country after another and they can be found almost entirely on the Left side of the political spectrum.

Israel’s enemies failed to realize that Israel has full command of the skies, and winning a war against Israel in this situation is impossible. The best that the jihadis can hope for is the occasional missile getting through Israel’s defenses and causing some damage. But this will come with the systematic dismantling of expensive Houthi infrastructure.
The Houthis must realize that their loss of very expensive infrastructure cannot be repaired for years. And it is only a matter of time until the IDF finds out the location of Houthi leadership to send them on an express trip to Allah. Also, I’m sure that Trump did not like it when the Houthis promised not to attack shipping, but did so anyway, I would not be surprised if a carrier group is on its way to the Arabian Sea. If that is the case, Israel can sit out the next dance.
