Iceland calls for stripping Israeli symbols from Eurovision

Nothing that comes out of Iceland is surprising, given the darkness I personally experienced there when speaking at a conference; Robert Spencer was intentionally poisoned afterward by two far-left social justice warriors, and the culprits had plenty of supporters, including the emergency room doctor. Now Stefan JĆ³n Hafstein, head of Icelandā€™s Broadcasting Authority, is demanding that independent Israeli artists hide their national identity and “not be allowed to show Star of David national flag at the next Eurovision.” Hafstein thinks his idea is a better option than a full boycott of Israel. His proposal is obscene, and he’s suggesting it in the name of “human rights,” with no evident realization of the fact that the tiny state of Israel is targeted for obliteration. Israel has no choice but to fight back against the barbarians who use their own people as human shields; Hafstein appears to have no problem with that. Instead, he compares Israel to Belarus and Russia.

Could Israel’s Eurovision 2026 participation face a new threat? Amid international boycott calls, Iceland proposes a different approach ā€“ not removing the Israeli delegation entirely, but establishing new participation conditions that would transform any Israeli representative into an “independent participant” stripped of national symbols. This unusual initiative, published in Iceland, might force the European Broadcasting Union to make one of the most sensitive decisions in the competition’s history.

In a pointed column published on the Icelandic website VĆ­sir, the chairman makes clear that he views this as a pivotal moment for the competition. He characterizes the current period as “Eurovision’s moment of truth,” declaring that while Israel continues military operations in Gaza, and international bodies investigate alleged war crimes, it cannot keep appearing on a stage representing “values of peace, unity and respect for human rights.”

Rather than demanding a total boycott, the chairman suggests a solution he believes balances moral principles with artistic freedom, permitting Israeli artists to participate only if they abandon the state flag and publicly affirm support for Eurovision values, “including human rights.” He argues this framework has already proven successful in sports, pointing to the 2024 Paris Olympics, where Belarusian and Russian athletes competed exclusively under neutral flags. Iceland’s Broadcasting Authority council backed the initiative, referencing Russia and Belarus as precedents for nations that “failed to meet European standards.”…..

Non-Muslims should legally designate Islam as a Muslim Terrorist Organization(MTO) where Mosques, Muslim Schools, Islamic Centers, Sharia Courts, and Muslim Organizations are banned because of their incitement of segregation and discrimination to fight back against ISLAMIZATION, Muslim subjugation, and tyrannical violence(Quran 4:65; 9:5,29,111; 60:4; 98:6-7 and more).

  7. Since they love the Palis so much, maybe send the entire Gaza population to Iceland. Probably settle them on the eastern coast of the island, so that they are nowhere near innocent Icelanders – I understand that the bulk of the population lives in Reykjavik?

    • The populzton of Gaza is around 2.1 million–the native population is under 400,000–smaller than the mid-sized American city I live in. Whatver Iceland’s problems now–and clearly they are many–being taken over by millions of Jihad terrorists who would outnumber them about 5 to 1 would be *much* worse.

  11. Spent some time in Iceland back in 2005 at the Naval Air Station Keflavik.

    Iceland was great back then, not sure what it’s like now – but I’m not encouraged.

  12. Der ESC verkommt immer mehr zur BĆ¼hne fĆ¼r politische Propaganda. Israel ist eine stolze Nation und sollte bei dieser DemĆ¼tigung die ReiƟleine ziehen und auf einen Auftritt verzichten. Welchem Israelischen KĆ¼nstler ist es Ć¼berhaupt noch zuzumuten, sich dieser hasserfĆ¼llten Umgebung auszusetzen ?
    Ich erwarte von meiner Regierung (Deutschland) dass sie diesen Musikwettbewerb, sollte diese Diskriminierung durchgehen, sich klar und unmissverstƤndlich auf die Seite von Israel stellt und diese demonstrativ boykottiert. Vielleicht finden sich dann auch noch andere KĆ¼nstler mit Eiern in der Hose, die auf solche “Events” keinen Bock mehr haben.
