Damascus Province: A patrol of General Security arbitrarily arrested five young Kurdish men on Friday, July 18, near the Syriatel centre in Mazzeh Al-Jabal neighbourhood of Damascus, for speaking the Kurdish language.
According to local sources, the youths, who are from villages in Afrin countryside, were speaking Kurdish in a public area when a security officer approached them and asked: Are you Kurds? once they said yes, an armed patrol immediately arrived, arrested them, and took them to an unknown location.
The five young men remain in arbitrary detention with no information yet about their fate or place.

SOHR documents 185 people executed in Al-Suwaidaa during a week of escalation

SOHR obtained videos, photographs and audio clips documenting the perpetration of flagrant violations of international humanitarian law amounting to war crimes by the warring parties in Al-Suwaidaa province, armed members of the Druze community, Bedouin and tribesmen.
These include executions of prisoners and detainees, massacres of civilians, as well as mutilations and beheadings, in horrific scenes that reflect the escalation of sectarian violence and retaliation and the collapse of moral and humanitarian controls on the battlefield.
This comes in light of the failure of the international community to intervene to stop the bleeding in Al-Suwaidaa, amid the worsening civil division and the absence of any framework of accountability or protection.
SOHR obtained a video showing a head separated from the body, which turned out to belong to a person from the northern countryside of Aleppo, found in Al-Suwaidaa province following the advance of tribesmen to positions that were under the control of local militants from the Druze community.
SOHR also obtained another video documenting the moment a tribal gunman beheaded a Druze man in Al-Suwaidaa.
In a third recording, a number of prisoners from the Druze community appeared in the hands of tribesmen, where direct threats to slaughter and avenge them are heard.
Al-Suwaidaa city witnessed a horrific crime, where an armed group killed three young men from Arnous city inside one of the apartments on the fourth floor in the military police area.
According to a video obtained by SOHR, the gunmen are seen taking the three young men under insults to the balcony of the apartment, before forcing them to throw themselves from it, then they opened fire on them immediately before they fall.
According to reliable SOHR sources, the victims were scientific competencies in the city, where one of them was working as an engineer, while the other two were doctors. The incident caused shock and widespread condemnation among the people, in light of the growing manifestations of chaos, murder, looting and insecurity.
According to SOHR sources, the death toll has risen to 940 since the clashes erupted seven days ago, most of them civilians, amid fears of a complete collapse of the truce and a return of clashes on a larger scale, among the documented dead.
– 182 persons, including 26 women, six children and an elderly man, were executed by members of the Ministries of Defence and Interior
– Three members of Bedouin tribes, including a woman and a child, were executed by Druze gunmen.

On this story, I believe Alan Dershowitz. There are 2 reasons to take his word for it, as I mentioned in the previous article on him:
⮞ He was one of Epstein’s lawyers
⮞ He is also familiar w/ the court decisions that had certain jury testimony sealed, so that even Pam Bondi can’t release them, even if she wants to. Nor can President Trump
On both his own show, as well as as a guest on Chris Cuomo, he explained how he asked Epstein whether he had worked at any time for any country’s intel agencies. Had the answer been yes, that could have been one pretext for alleviating any sentence. Epstein said no, when a yes answer could have kept him out of jail completely

On the suicide, Dershowitz thinks that Epstein did commit suicide, and that he had assistance from the guards. It explains why the cameras were turned off at the exact time he’s supposed to have hanged himself. He may have found some way to bribe the guards to transfer his cellmate to another cell, and then help him hang himself
Dershowitz has also suggested that Ghislaine Maxwell be given immunity so that she can testify truly about his activities that led him to jail. Which would address those concerned about this whole saga
