A Palestinian-American man from Tampa, Florida, was killed near the Jewish community of Ateret in Judea and Samaria (also known as the West Bank) this month, prompting yet another round of sympathetic coverage in U.S. media outlets. News reports described him as a “beloved businessman,” the owner of an ice cream parlor, a harmless young man who liked comedy and beaches. What they did not report, however, is far more telling — and more damning.
Let’s start with the so-called ice cream business.
The victim has been widely described as the owner of “Ice Screamin,” a supposed dessert shop. But a check of business records shows otherwise. There are two other individuals tied to the business. Only one of them, Ibrahim Mujahid, appears to have a meaningful entrepreneurial history. Mujahid previously operated Rani Express, a transportation and warehousing company in Georgia that is now defunct. He also operates Caring Angels, a home care service in Minnesota that is still in business.
That’s the real owner of “Ice Screamin.” Not the man killed in Judea and Samaria. Which explains why every news profile has skipped the usual “humble beginnings to business success” narrative. There’s no inspiring small business story. The man in question was no upstanding, hardworking American entrepreneur.
It gets worse.
Nearly every outlet has failed to report that the incident took place in Ateret, a Jewish “settlement.” This is true—and completely ignored also is the fact that Ateret has existed since 1981, long before the victim was even born. Yet the press claims that this man was killed while he was “defending his land.” But where is this land? Did this Palestinian own land within the Jewish settlement? Is there a deed? Proof of purchase? Coordinates? Or are we once again expected to accept such claims on faith, simply because they come wrapped in keffiyeh-colored pathos?
This incident is being used precisely as Hamas intended: to paint every defensive Israeli action as an unjustified killing, and every Palestinian casualty as a peaceful victim of “settler violence.” It’s media theater — an information operation dressed up as local tragedy. Hamas, or those working in tandem with it, have perfected this script.
And of course, the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has predictably leaped to the microphone. CAIR has made a public show of outrage over the death of an American citizen. But let’s be clear: CAIR has shown no comparable concern for the Americans who are currently being held hostage by Hamas. No press conferences. No letter-writing campaigns. No breathless appearances on CNN. Evidently, not all American lives are worth the same level of outrage — at least not when it’s Hamas doing the killing.
That’s what this story is — a Hamas narrative dressed in the language of American civil rights and entrepreneurship. And the Western media, as always, plays along.
Don’t be fooled.

If the mb was “finally declared” what it is…a “terrorist org” then perhaps some media somewhere would report that cair is a part of the mb and so is hamas, al queda, and on and on.
And perhaps, just perhaps, there would be fewer outlets trying to make islime seem good.

Ted Cruz just introduced legislation to that effect, but this should have been done when CAIR was designated an unindicted coconspirator in the 2007 Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing trial. At that time the Muslim Brotherhood was known to all to be a terrorist organization, It took the United Arab Emirates until 2014 to designate CAIR and the Muslim brotherhood as terrorist organizations alongside Al-Qada and ISIS. The US waited until now.
In 2011, the Muslim Brotherhood seized power in Egypt, ousting Mubarak and making Mohamed Morsi president. In 2013, the military led by el-Sisi killed hundreds of Brotherhood members. The Brotherhood was banned, its assets seized, and thousands of members—including Morsi—were imprisoned.
Since then, the American MSM was silent as to these happenings and although bills were introduced to place the Muslim Brotherhood on the terrorist list, they were always stalled in Congress. Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood have very close ties including financial connections. And CAIR is intertwined with both of them.

I just listened to an interview Glenn Beck did ; and some Law & Justice may be coming down the pike for those….such as h. clinton who helped the mb gain power in Egypt, along with bo who did some dirty work to make things happen there, and the biden’s, etc… due to a Law that allows an extension of the ‘statute of limitations’ instead of it being too late to prosecute.

if I understand you right, you want statute of limitations to be removed, as has been done in the uk? On the face of it, seems like a good idea, but, it is not:
Imagine you are accuse of something in your youth, imagine an ex president is.
Long after evidence, memories, and public opinion has been skewed by deliberate and relentless propaganda. Ask yourself, would you get a fair trial?
Hindsight is not a wonderful thing, while you would have moved on with your life, not feeling the need to keep evidence of your behaviour, those who “have got it in for you” have meticulously collected compromising “facts” to bring you down.
Not to mention that the activity of bringing old cases tou court chokes up the system and prevents current injustices due process.
In the uk our law has been systematically subverted in this way to facilitate bad actors, think of the patriot act, sounds nice, is, in practice, used as a weapon

I don’t care about the citizenship: if it’s a muslim from anywhere in Judea/Samaria, and he gets into an altercation, I don’t assume that the Jews he was engaged w/ are guilty. This guy could have gone slightly east into Jordan, set up his shop & serviced “Palestinians” across the border, and on that side as well.

Israel needs to claim that ALL of Israel is now conquered! That’s the excuse that Muslims have been saying the last decade. So… Israel needs to throw them out and conquer the entire land and that includes Judea, Samaria, Golan, and some other neighborhoods that are in Israel and are NO GO zones for Israelis or Jews. Throw them all out is the only way!

I didn’t believe the American or Israeli media on the title. Never bothered to read the story about him. I read Roberts article, which wasn’t very incriminating, despite the scary tone, and believable claims about Media anti Jewish Israel bias. I bet the truth is worse for the Muslims and the left then even Robert describes.
It could theoretically be Israels fault, but the whole world is so anti Israel, that I don’t feel there’s to much point arguing with the media. Its like every single podcast, they lie on this point, they distorted another, why would you choose such a weak rebuttal standing up for Israel? Because the whole debate is rigged. In G-d I trust.
