In the West, non-Muslim annually don the hijab on World Hijab Day, in order to show solidarity with the allegedly oppressed Muslim women who are supposedly persecuted for wearing the hijab. The actual oppression related to the hijab, however, is not linked to wearing it, but to not wearing it. Actual incidents of Muslim women being harassed or discriminated against for wearing the hijab in the U.S., meanwhile, are extraordinarily hard to find. It’s much easier to find examples of Muslim women in America who falsely claimed that they were being harassed or discriminated against in order to score points on the left’s insane scale of victimhood worship.
Back on Sept. 16, 2022, in Tehran, the Iranian morality police arrested Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman, for not wearing her hijab properly. Amini later died in a hospital in Tehran, and numerous Iranians charged that she had been tortured to death while in custody. All over the country, protesters took to the streets to protest not against the hijab laws, but against the repressive and brutal Islamic Republic itself.
Other women, and male protesters as well, were killed as the Iranian regime ruthlessly applied the Qur’anic injunction to “strike terror in the enemies of Allah” (8:60). The protests went on for months until the regime began summarily executing protesters, and even then some indomitably courageous Iranians continued to take to the streets to demand their freedom.
It is against that backdrop that World Hijab Day is once again being celebrated. For innumerable women in Iran, the hijab is the most visible sign of their second-class status, and of the brutality of the regime that will imprison them for years or even kill them outright for daring to venture out in public without wearing it.
The Iranian authorities call their morality police the “Guidance Patrol,” an Orwellian name that makes them sound as if they’re a bunch of benign, avuncular individuals selflessly dedicated to helping young Iranians avoid moral pitfalls and stay on the straight and narrow. A more accurate name, however, would be the Terror Patrol, for the morality that these officials enforce is not the virtuous person’s free choice of the good, but the enforced obedience of those who are frightened into submission.
In one such incident, an eleven-year-old girl in Toronto made international headlines with her claim that a man had followed her and cut her hijab with scissors. After an investigation, police concluded that the attack never happened. Likewise, Yasmin Seweid, a Muslim teen, claimed in December 2016 that Trump supporters on a New York subway tore off her hijab and no one in the packed subway car helped her. She, too, gained international media attention, and she, too, made up the whole thing. Shortly before that, a hijab-wearing Muslim student at San Diego State University also falsely claimed that she was assaulted by Trump supporters.
In July 2017, a Muslim in Britain falsely claimed that a man had pulled off her hijab in a “race hate attack.” In November 2016, a University of Michigan Muslim student claimed she was “accosted by a white man who told her to remove her hijab or he would set her ablaze with a cigarette lighter.” She also fabricated the whole event. And there are many others of this kind, but the World Hijab Day feminists, of course, have taken no notice.
Nor have they ever acknowledged the fact that women are far more likely to be oppressed for not wearing the hijab than for wearing it, and not just in Iran. In Mississauga, Ontario, a few years back, Aqsa Parvez’s Muslim father choked her to death with her hijab after she refused to wear it. Amina Muse Ali was a Christian woman in Somalia whom Muslims murdered because she wasn’t wearing a hijab. Forty women were murdered in Iraq in 2007 for not wearing the hijab.
Alya Al-Safar’s Muslim cousin threatened to kill her and harm her family because she stopped wearing the hijab in Britain. Amira Osman Hamid faced whipping in Sudan for refusing to wear the hijab. An Egyptian girl, also named Amira, committed suicide after being brutalized by her family for refusing to wear the hijab. Muslim and non-Muslim teachers at the Islamic College of South Australia were told they had to wear the hijab or be fired. Women in Chechnya were shot with paintballs by police because they weren’t wearing hijab. Other women in Chechnya were threatened by men with automatic rifles for not wearing hijab.

Yasmine Mohammed has revealed the harrowing reality of escaping a forced marriage to an Al-Qaeda operative, only to face death threats from her own mother for removing her hijab.
The human rights activist told GB News about her “terrifying” ordeal, explaining how her mother decided she “needed to be killed” after she dared to divorce, live independently and uncover her head.
“I was not only escaping my husband and his cronies, but also my mother,” Mohammed said, describing the period as “incredibly tumultuous, scary and a terrifying time.”
The Canadian author, who grew up in a fundamentalist Islamic household in Vancouver, now heads the charity Free Hearts Free Minds, which supports LGBTQ communities and unconventional thinkers in Muslim countries.
Mohammed described the suffocating nature of her upbringing, where critical thinking was punished and conformity demanded.
“The entire religion is very authoritarian and tyrannical with women,” she told GB News. “Being born and raised in that society and that community and religion, you’re not encouraged to have any critical thinking skills and in fact you’re punished for having critical thinking.”
She explained how followers were expected to “just do as you’re told and say what you’re supposed to say and everybody needs to move in unison like a school of fish.”
The oppression extended beyond psychological control to physical restriction. “It was incredibly suffocating to be in that environment. Emotionally, psychologically and also literally physically. I was suffocating under a god that covered me, head to toe, face covered entirely in two layers of fabric,” she said….

Early this morning, I read a news article about an Amber alert for a beautiful little girl, three years old. The mother (as yet unnamed) said she stopped her car due to the child being ‘upset.’ She claimed that, while stopped, a White guy in a black hoodie and gray shorts held a gun to her and took the baby girl.
The mother said he was “white, about 40, bald head, peach fuzz beard, and left in a white truck driven by a blond woman.”
I read it to my daughter and we both called it baloney; something like the susan smith crime had happened.
A mother would be beaten, shot, etc. before she would just give up her baby. And no one under such stress would have such detail about the abductor.
And I would bet that she had on her person or in her car, a cell phone.
Later, the news said the woman had been arrested for lying, giving a false police report and the case is being treated as a homicide.
Real mothers care for their children. And real women care for other people, female and male, esp children..

First, the terrible term “honor killing” is alone a dishonest term. For there is no honor, at all, in a malice -filled murder of a young female. Just giving an evil action a better sounding title doesn’t change the wicked nature of it. It’s like scrapping off the label of that jar of cyanide which reads “Danger Poison” and replacing on that jar another label that reads “ Apple Juice.” That doesn’t change the deadly content in that jar. As it has been wisely said that “Evil is always looking for an excuse.”
Second, the horrible reality is that Islam is able to in a sinister way, warp the cognation of the human mind that a man might even feel and think that a cold-blooded murder of a helpless young girl or woman is something that is “good” That’s outright demonic. The Islam version: “A woman is not any trouble if you keep her covered in unbearably hot weather (preferably in black which absorbs maximum heat), remind her that Allah asigned her the role of inferior to men, never let her travel without a minder, limit her relationships to relatives, dump all the household duties and children upon her, never allow romance or marriages outside Islam, make certain she cannot become economically independent, and threaten her life for any serious deviations from the expectations.
Obviously the glue that holds Islam society together is the women who have the babies and care for the children despite the restrictions and actions of inequality placed upon them. This is Stockholm Syndrome on steroids.
The failure of Islam will begin in the West where there are better marriage choices and escape through education. However, it requires the host nation to wake up to the reality of Islam and offer protection (instead of the current cowardice) to the women who leave it.

In ancient Assyria, veiling was a status symbol and a legal requirement for certain women, particularly married women and native-born Assyrian women. The Middle Assyrian law code mandated that these women veil when appearing in public. Prostitutes and female slaves were forbidden to veil and faced harsh penalties if they did.
Essentially, all over ancient Mesopotamia the practice of veiling became widely perceived as a means to distinguish between married women or female family members of men of high-ranking status on the one hand and women of ill repute on the other hand.
Islam has adopted pre-Islamic customs and traditions wholesale with regards to the status of women.
Start thinking about that, and you will draw the immediate conclusions with how Western females are regarded these days by muslims. And you can also draw the conclusion that nobody can actually claim that Islam is an innovative ‘religion’, if it has adopted practices that predate its advent by thousands of years !
