The Epidemic of Antisemitism

British journalist Brendan O’Neill is yet again prompted to fury, this time by the attempt of an Egyptian Muslim to burn alive Jews in Boulder, Colorado, people who were marching quietly to remind the world of the hostages still held in Gaza. They’re burning Jews again. Yesterday, in Boulder, Colorado, a man used a makeshift flamethrower and Molotov cocktails to try to incinerate Jews. Eight people, aged 52 to 88, were injured. Their ‘crime’? They had gathered in public to call for the release of the Israeli hostages. In Europe in the 1930s it was punishable by death to assist the wretched Jews. It seems that in America in the 2020s there are people who dream of resuscitating that grim, violent punishment for Jew sympathy.

It was a truly nauseating assault. The suspect has been named as Mohamed Soliman. He’s reportedly an illegal immigrant from Egypt. He is alleged to have doused the people at the vigil in a flammable liquid and then sprayed them with flames. He ‘set people on fire’, as CNN bluntly put it. Read that again. In the US in 2025, a gathering of people expressing solidarity with the Jewish victims of neo-fascism was set on fire. Video footage shows the suspect holding a combustible cocktail in each hand as he yells ‘Free Palestine!’. At his feet lie the scorched Jews.

It is being reported that the oldest victim, who is 88, is a refugee from Nazi-era Europe. She is a ‘very loving person’, said a local rabbi. The moral enormity of that feels overwhelming. Someone who escaped the mass Jew-burning of 1940s Europe falls victim to a new kind of Jew-burning in 21st-century America. Someone whose relatives were reduced to ash by Nazis finds herself ‘set on fire’ by a supposed Palestine activist in modern-day Colorado. It will be a dark day for humanity if the American republic, once a safe haven for Jews fleeing the derangements of the Old World, becomes infected by the fiery ancient hatred for the Jewish people.

The FBI is calling it a suspected terror attack. Israel’s foreign minister, Gideon Sa’ar, says it was an act of ‘pure anti-Semitism’. We’ve tried to warn the world about chants like ‘Globalise the intifada’, said Ted Deutch of the American Jewish Committee. He says these burned Jews are the end result of that fevered cry to internationalise Hamas’s violent loathing for the Jewish homeland. Jews in America are nervous. Understandably. Just 10 days ago two people were shot dead as they left a Jewish event in Washington, DC, also by a man barking ‘Free Palestine!’. And now this….

It is so clear now that ‘Free Palestine’ has nothing to do with Palestinians. That this slogan was the last thing Sarah Milgrim heard as she forlornly crawled from her assassin in DC, that it rang in the ears of a Holocaust refugee in Boulder as she was set on fire, confirms that it is a cry of venomous hatred wrapped in a seemingly progressive demand. It seems to me that the plight of Palestinians has been entirely hijacked by the West’s self-loathing activist class, who hide their violent rejection of reason and the Enlightenment behind a keffiyeh, to make medieval hysteria seem edgy and leftish. An ideology of inhumanity stalks the modern West, and its echoes of humanity’s darkest history can no longer be ignored….

The latest entry in the global anti-Israel competition took place at a meeting of the UN Security Council on June 4, where a resolution calling for an “immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire in Gaza respected by all parties.” Were such a resolution to have been adopted, it would have required an end to the IDF’s operations in Gaza, leaving the terror group Hamas greatly weakened, but still standing, still able to claim to the world that after 20 months of war, “Hamas has not been defeated, Hamas is ready to fight on.” But only the American veto prevented the resolution form being adopted.

And meanwhile, Brendan O’Neill knows, right now, somewhere in the United States, or in Europe, another attack on Jews is being planned. The epidemic continues. There is no end to this.

  1. There are silver linings in just about every cloud. In this case we have this animal off of our streets, ( for now) Also we now know if someone holding bottles of liquid we ahould put them down before they throw it.

Allah, the Terrorist God, instructs Muslims to attack Non-Muslims when Quran 9:29 says, “Engage in war with those who do not believe in Allah nor in the last day. Nor forbid what Allah and his messenger forbid[via Islam’s Law, Sharia], nor believe in the religion of the truth[Islam] among those who have been given the book[Christians and Jews] until they pay the jizyah[extortion payment] out of hand and they are subdued[disgraced].”

    Moreover, Allah in Qur’an 8:60 says “And prepare for them whatever power you can and of the tying of horses[steeds of war]. Strike terror into the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others, without them you do not know them; Allah knows them. And what you spend from anything for the sake of Allah, it will be repaid to you, and you will not be dealt with unjustly.“

    Allah in Quran 5:51 says, “O you who have believed[Muslims], do not take the Jews and the Nasara(Christians) as friends. They are friends to one another. And whoever among you takes them as friends, so surely he is of them. Surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.” See also Quran 2:63-65; 3:115; 4:144; 5:59-60, 82; 7:166.

    Allah in Qur’an 8:39 says, “And engage in war with them[Non-Muslims] until there will not be sedition and the religion will be completely to Allah…”

  3. The attorney for the ghoul who threw the birebombs….allegedly…is comparing the Trump admin to nazi Germany.
    It should be noted that Nazi Germany had the same kinds of ghouls….mozscums…working along with hitler in the destruction of the lives of Jews (and others), so the comparison is totally skewed. If the admin was the same, the ghoul would be hailed by the government as a hero as opposed to be prosecuted for attempted murder and other crimes.

    Deporting the likes of his family….and the goons on the various campuses, the many gangsters here illegally is nothing like what hitler and his scummy helpers did.
    But today’s climate allows so many lies fabricated to make the guilty look innocent.

  4. I believe Brendan O’Neill is pretty much holding down the fort, when it comes to representing the small (and ever-diminishing) group of decent Irish folks. (I see he was brought up in London but is of Irish Catholic background).

    Most of the Irish seem to have deserted the fort, and are helping the savages who want to burn the fort down. They (or at least those who shout the loudest) seem to have lost any remaining shred of decency, in their supercharged virtue-signalling support of their precious “Palestinians”.

    It’s not gonna end well for the Irish, but it is good to know that at least a few brave voices like Brendan O’Neill’s still exist out there.

Those many evil atrocities committed by the Muslim terrorists of Hamas on October 7th 2023 ,as horrendously wicked as those Hamas affronts were, it’s very strange ,indeed, that those horrific Islamic terrorism of that horrible day creating sympathy for the Jewish people, as it should had, it was actually a catalyst for a resurgence malice-filled vicious hate for the Jews in many places across the United States and beyond.

    This is more than sick and irrational, it is outright diabolical. Satan and his demons are very active inspiring all that ant- Jewish maliciousness.

    This irrational anti- Jewish hate further extents to irrational ignorant hate for the State of Israel. One example of this ignorance was revealed by a .Newsmax reporter walked over to one of those “student” protesters who was holding a sign that read “From the River to the Sea” and asked her “What river ?” and she replied “I don’t know.” Then the reporter asked her “Which sea ?” To that question, she answered, “I don’t know.”

  6. All of this vicious irrational ignorant hate for the Jewish people is a reminder that the former President, William Howard Taft, in a speech, rightly and wisely, declared, “Anti-Semitism is a noxious weed that should be cut out. It has no place in America.”
