Leadership.
The debate over Iran’s nuclear program was powered by bad faith arguments that President Trump cut through with common sense.
Opponents claimed that there was no evidence that Iran, a vastly oil-rich power, had spent billions and decades developing an extensive nuclear program for military reasons.
President Trump intuitively understood that was nonsense.
Critics warned that the danger of non-nuclear retaliation by a regime that chanted “Death to America” was more dangerous than what it might do with nuclear weapons.
Finally, Democrats and some Republicans argued that the only possible solution lay in diplomacy even though Iran had refused to make a deal with Biden, despite numerous concessions, and the Obama deal had proven to be worthless.
President Trump’s common sense response was to deal with reality. The only question was the best answer. He chose a quick and rapid strike utilizing American airpower without risking lives in any kind of more extended engagement. Warnings by opponents that there would be boots on the ground proved ‘groundless’. This was not ‘nation building’ or even ‘regime change’, but a quick and decisive attack that dealt with the core problem of nuclear reactors buried deep enough that the Israeli air strikes couldn’t reach them.
In the process, President Trump proved that he could not only tune out the noise from all sides, but use it to his advantage as a smoke screen in which to manuever and act. Past administrations were heavily dependent on information, President Trump took in the information but he followed his gut instincts.
That’s the essence of leadership.
Huh?!? says
Iran is a nest for Islamic Jihadi terrorism. Iran wants the U.S. to fall along with Israel. Islam only seeks peace when they are losing. Any agreement made is useless. Iran would be lying to service what Iran wants. Iran will regroup and attempt to build another N-bomb. The surrender has to be unconditional. Trump did the right thing.

Let’s cut through the noise and admit there is a shadow government network that includes a rogue element in the CIA, FBI, and the National Security Council that would mislead a President for its own ends. Power without accountability always leads to some puposeful omissions and misinformation.
We look back and see that JFK was almost convinced by advice that the invasion of Cuba was a good idea but finally decided against it. The Bay Of Pigs operation was run anyway with the resulting failure and recriminations. And we wonder what actual advice was given to the President prior to the last invasion of Iraq?
We saw the FBI connected in some way with the jihadis who tried to kill the participants in the Garland Texas Muhammad drawing contest. If that happens on a local level what happens on a national level? After that observation, a TV show about the FBI just looks like propaganda.
President Trump was wise to weigh the advice from agencies with a spotted record of honesty and ignorance such as being in posession of a possible 9/11-like attack and not sharing it. I can’t imagine any President trusting the spooks without another corroborating source.
One thing is certain, Trump understands the reality of how Islamic doctrine manifests itself in real life and negotiations. Unlike past Presidents, the man has delt with deviousness in money and Real Estate for decades and can see behind the false smiles and the schmoozing.
Trump made the right decision – save the nation which directly contributes to our technology over the objections of people and nations angling for their own power.
I remember in college, the best engineering books were written by Jews and none by Islamic nations. They improve US weapons to our benefit. I see my local farmers using drip irrigation to save water and make a better profit. These are special people committed to secular education as well as religious.

Each administration, even democrat administrations have repeatedly stated that Iran is developing nuclear weapons and cannot have nuclear weapons. Now the left is stating that there is no proof that Iran has spent billions developing a nuclear program, even though both the Obama administration and the Biden administration negotiated with them to end their nuclear programs, and of course with no results. Notice that the left media always says there is no proof of anything, when they don’t like the ideology. Ex. There was no proof of Biden’s mental decline nor was there proof of violent illegals crossing the border. “ Proof” to them is the key word here. It may be obvious but where is the proof?? it allows them to lie to the American people.
