Leftists can’t hide their authoritarian bent, and seem increasingly uninterested in even trying to do so. What “government regulatory constraints” in order to stamp out a “diversity of facts” would mean in practice would be that some people would be appointed to the job of censoring speech that they considered to be non-factual. Their choices of what to censor would be based on their own biases and proclivities. Obama, of course, assumes that his views are true and correct. And he is calling for the forcible government suppression of views that differ from his own.

      Here is a man who is trained in the law, was president of the U.S. twice, and yet displays an appalling lack of even the most basic understanding of the First Amendment.
      Furthermore, he shows no grasp of the thinking process between opinions and facts.
      Who decides?
      It’s a common problem with “the anointed”. They just can’t believe they are not the answer.

        I studied terrorists, terrorism, serial killers, regular, standard-issue criminals, and the thing that stands out is most of them are psychopaths. Those kind of people have an elevated view of themselves, never admit to wrongs or even that they don’t know something; they *know everything.* They see themselves as clever and above the rest of us in intelligence.

        Add in the islimic teaching that they have the right to dictate to the rest of us, how to live, what we can say, what not to say and when not to say it; and you have a bo.

  2. When Leftists like Obama are out of ideas, as they regularly are, they make a faux distinction between facts and opinion. Well, first of all, even if opinions are not factually based, they should still not be banned as Obama wants if real freedom of speech is to survive. Second of all, people like Obama and rubes at a site like MSNBC wish to call true facts only opinions (and thus banned) if they don’t agree with such facts (e.g., the Hunter Biden laptop was just Russian disinformation or, as another example, Joe Biden was cognitively fine while President, or yet another example, the Covid vaccine would prevent one from getting Covid).

    In other words, pure Orwellian stuff. And Obama, like MSNBC and the pathetic MSM in general, is steeped in Orwellian-type deception, which is the real threat to freedom of speech. Put another way, I look upon people like Obama as an enemy of the First Amendment. You bet I do.

    • Wellington, I read a report this morning which gave evidence of collusion between the doj when biden was pretending, and hunter’s attorneys. Part of it was an email from the attorneys to the doj…not justice then…telling the authorities what and how much the doj was to say to the media about the charges…irs, etc.

      That was a load of dis-information fed to the public; yet they called the Truth dis and mis and mal.
      The reporting on the report said that might have been “unethical.” I see it as illegal.

Muslim actions should be legally challenged with a multi-faceted force of Western Laws like Muslims wield against Americans and Westerners via Tax Exempt Organizations, the Media and Hollywood, Foreign Funding, etc. because Islam violates and is incompatible with Western Laws(Quran 9:5,29, 111; 49:15; 60:4 etc.).

    Like a Foreign Terrorist Organization(FTO) designated by the USA Secretary of State, Islam functions as a MUSLIM TERRORIST ORGANIZATION(MTO) fighting against Non-Muslims and NOT A PEACEFUL religion under Western Law because Islam funds, teaches, and promotes Terrorist Criminal Organizations with Muslims as Terrorists for Allah(Quran 9:5,29, 111; 49:15 etc.).

    Allah’s demoniacal Islam, a hateful Antichrist Ideology, is using Western Freedoms and Laws against Non-Muslims to conquer Non-Muslims under Islamic Rule. Non-Muslims should legally designate Islam as a Muslim Terrorist Organization(MTO) where Mosques, Muslim Schools, Islamic Centers, Sharia Courts, and Muslim Organizations are banned because of their segregation and discrimination to fight back against ISLAMIZATION, Muslim subjugation, discrimination, and tyrannical violence(Quran 4:65; 9:5,29,111; 60:4; 98:6-7 and more).

    Under Islam and Islamic Law, Muslims have the Legal Right and the Quranic Duty to terrorize Non-Muslims because neglecting this QURANIC DUTY is a Crime against tyrannical Allah. Jihad means warfare against Non-Muslims to ESTABLISH ISLAM’S RELIGION(Quran 3:115, 151; 9:5, 29, 111; Muslim Law Manual: “Reliance of the Traveller”, o9.0 and more).

  14. Let’s look at a couple of “diversity of facts”.

    200 years ago Joseph Fourier wrote the heat transfer equation. For the last 100 years it has been used hundreds (if not thousands) of times everyday. It is right every time. The heat transfer equation calculates the CO2 cools the Earth (it is cooler in the shade) by less than 1/1000th of a degree F. The models the governments want us to accept do not converge with atmospheric data. So it is a mathematical fact (not political opinion) that they are wrong. But under the “diversity of facts” limitation, we are no longer able to do the math.

    All mRNA vaccines fail the distribution test (they stay where they are put) by design. However, it is illegal to have, give, or receive any vaccine that fails the distribution test. The penalties are severe. So, the “diversity of facts” would prevent us from following the law.

    I could go on all day with AI, 9/11, and many more. The anointed one (Obama), he is not alone, would stand shame-faced embarrassed by his delusion that the Internet echo chamber is always true, if he were forced to reason with someone who knew that a “diversity of facts” is about the only sanity we have left.
