Mairari is abandoned because of jihad attacks. That’s just what the jihadis want. They then move in their people, and the dar al-Islam expands at the expense of the dar al-harb. We have seen this in Lebanon and innumerable other places.

At least nine people lost their lives when Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) planted by Boko Haram terrorists exploded at a bus stop in Mairari village, Guzamala Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State.
Mairari village is situated about 18 kilometers from Monguno and roughly 119 kilometers from Maiduguri, the state capital.
The attack, which also left several others injured, took place while passengers waited for transport at the local bus stop.
Confirming the incident, Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan, condemned the brutal act and called on the military to intensify operations to liberate Guzamala LGA from Boko Haram’s hold….
Highlighting the need for security and civilian governance, the speaker pointed out that Mairari, which had previously been resettled twice, remains abandoned due to persistent Boko Haram and ISWAP attacks.
“You are aware that Mairari village which was hitherto the only village that was resettled two times with civil authority in the whole of Guzamala local government area has remained deserted again due to Boko Haram/ISWAP attacks,” he explained….
