You know those stories put out by Hamas that the IDF fired on, and killed, “dozens” of Gazans trying to get humanitarian aid? Israel denies it. Full stop. And common sense supports that denial: why would Israel, that is making great efforts to ensure that its own distribution of aid, bypassing Hamas, will succeed, want at the same time to kill, and thereby terrify, Gazans who would then no longer show up at the distribution centers set up by the Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation? That makes no sense. What does make perfect sense is that if there were any shots fired at Gazans trying to receive food, that gunfire must have come from Hamas, which has a great interest in causing Israel’s effort to distribute food without the terror group’s participation to fail.
The American ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, on June 2 made public a clear, concise, and convincing statement about what has been going on in Gaza, and about the lies that Hamas tells, and repeated by so much of the media, that encourage the wave of antisemitism that has resulted in such atrocities as the murders of Yaron Lishinsky and Sarah Milgrim in Washington, and the attempt to burn alive a group of pro-Israel demonstrators in Boulder, Colorado by a Muslim with an expired visa but an unexpirable hatred of Israel and of Jews.
Here is Ambassador Huckabee’s statement:
Reckless and irresponsible reporting by major U.S. news outlets are contributing to the antisemitic climate that has resulted in the murder of two young people at an Israeli Embassy event in Washington last month and the attempted murder and terror attack on a group of pro-Israel demonstrators in Colorado on Sunday.
Without verification of any source other than Hamas and its collaborators, the New York Times, CNN, and Associated Press reported that a number of people seeking to receive humanitarian food boxes from the Gaza Humanitarian Fund were shot or killed by the Israeli Defense Forces.
These reports were FALSE. Drone video and first-hand accounts clearly showed that there were no injuries, no fatalities, no shooting, no chaos. It is Hamas that continues to terrorize and intimidate those who seek food aid. The only source for these misleading, exaggerated, and utterly fabricated stories came from Hamas sources, which are designed to fan the flames of antisemitic hate that is arguably contributing to violence against Jews in the United States. Media sources who willingly parrot these libelous allegations should recant their fake news stories, apologize, and pledge to practice actual reporting of fact instead of engaging in dangerous propaganda that assists the terror group Hamas as they continue to hold innocent hostages for over 600 days after butchering over 1,200 people on October 7th.
The efforts of GHF have resulted in over 5 million meals to civilians without incident. For the New York Times, AP, and CNN to be part of a Hamas-fed false narrative is reprehensible. It represents more than mere sloppy journalism. It’s feeding and inciting violence against innocent people in the United States.
We are demanding an immediate retraction of the lies and are appealing to all media sources to act with objective professionalism to cover actual events instead of being a partner of terrorism by blindly following Hamas news releases.
Yea, verily, a Daniel come to judgment. But if you have been following Mike Huckabee since his days as Lieutenant Governor and then Governor of Arkansas, you already knew that he’s always been a straight arrow.

There is arguably something in America even more destructive to truth and common sense than the Democratic Party and academia, awful as they are, and that is the MSM which has indeed become what it should be termed as, i.e., the Propaganda Media (PM).
The media in America, overall, has become a purveyor of falsehoods and hysteria. Shame on it. Deep shame. But my prediction here is that it will not learn. Will not learn at all.

Wellington,
Tragically true.
Many decades ago, the Western mainstream media was fairly accurate.

It’s ‘Shame on them’. ‘Media’ is plural. ‘Medium’ is the singular. It’s ‘media’ because there are (is) more than one. The New York Times, AP, and CNN, for example.

I believed he’s retired as a politician, and that this role of ambassador to Israel was one of the few he was willing to do

I believe follow the money attached to the media, who are the major stockholders or investors. Who are the Advertisers and who owns the majority of those companies and businesses. The middle eastern countries with their trillions of oil dollars are major stock holders in American companies. Those holdings also purchase influence in the market place and the media.

There is no person in politics that I trust more than Ambassador Huckabee and that has been my feeling for several decades. I was elated when President Trump appointed him as our Ambassador to Israel and I believe that this appointment was one of the best of the President’s many wise and patriotic appointments.
