New in PJ Media:
The war in Gaza continues, and Trump’s favored negotiator Steve Witkoff expressed his frustration Saturday with Hamas’ intransigence in ongoing negotiations, but never fear: the governments of France and Saudi Arabia are rushing in to save the day. They’re planning to come to New York City, which is an odd choice of venue, as it is neither in France nor Saudi Arabia, next month in order to establish that entity that all too many people still fondly assume will bring a definitive end to the jihad against Israel: a Palestinian state. U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, however, takes a dim view of the French-Saudi plans, and has offered the French some barbed advice on how to proceed.
Huckabee, according to a Saturday Fox News report, said that it was “incredibly inappropriate in the midst of a war that Israel is dealing with to go out and present something that I think increasingly Israelis are steadfast against.” Indeed, a majority of Israelis now oppose the “two-state solution,” after supporting it for a long time. That’s only reasonable, as it’s impossible to sustain the idea that the Palestinian Arabs will live side-by-side in peace with an Israel of any size. It’s much more likely that a Palestinian state would become a new jihad base for increased attacks against what’s left of Israel, just as Gaza did after the Israelis unilaterally withdrew from it in 2005.
The change in Israeli opinion on this issue came about largely because of Hamas’ brutal massacre of 1,200 Israelis. Huckabee observed succinctly: “Oct. 7 changed a lot of things.” Then he offered a modest proposal to the French diplomats who apparently plan to establish a Palestinian state without any input at all from the Israelis: “If France is really so determined to see a Palestinian state, I have a suggestion for them–carve out a piece of the French Riviera and create a Palestinian state.”
Hey, that’s a terrific idea. Carving a Palestinian state out of territory over which Israel has legitimate sovereignty makes about as much sense as carving out a Palestinian state anywhere else. Meanwhile, given France’s relentless and growing hostility toward Israel, the south of France would be a perfect place for a Palestinian state, and is already the resort area that Gaza could have been if its inhabitants had devoted themselves to building it up rather than using it as a base for the jihad against Israel. The Palestinian state on the French Riviera could become part of the Islamic caliphate that Muslim migrants are likely to establish in France before the end of this century.
The only snag would be that the French Riviera Palestinians would need higher-grade rockets to reach Israel from their new, farther-off base of operations, but the Islamic Republic of Iran and others would no doubt be happy to help them with that little problem.
There is more. Read the rest here.

They can form the first colony on Mars if the Riviera doesn’t pan out. They’ll need an enemy to keep them fighting, as they have no other identity, so the next most troublesome group can be located and sent. Maybe the ANC?
And as to the worthwhile point that France and Saudi Arabia want to come to NY to announce and legitimize their plan, that’s just another reason to pull out of the UN and drive the UN out of the US.

Some Americans hold up signs about what they think. Perhaps someone could hold up a sign for macron and the saudis saying, “You are not welcome here.”
Gaza, for Israel’s part, was to give over *land* for the mozscummies to govern themselves.
hamas crossed into land which didn’t come under their authority to kidnap, rape and murder.
If that bit of real estate was to be *carved* so it would be a ‘state,’ how would that change anything except to keep Israel’s Jews out? The gazans would probably expect Israel to continue providing services and doctoring their wounded terrorists.
It’s a totally idiotic proposition and I’m no expert on the subject. If I can see what a mistake it would be, these leading morons see it too….but want evil to prosper.

You’re right; it’s time for US citizens to step up the fight to force the UN out. Protests would be a good start. I don’t think the uniparty realizes how many Americans want the UN sent packing. And I know leftists who agree.

A much better idea would be to give the Palestinians 51% of the sun. That way they would have majority control, and could build their country on any part of it they would like. They could also take pride in being the first humans (?) to land on the sun. If they have questions about how to do that, simply remind them they could go there at night, or even land on the dark side.

The phrase “two state solution” is an utter oxymoronic phrase. Who, in their right minds, believes that any moslem anywhere in this Universe would agree with that and support it for more than a few minutes or hours? I’m sick of hearing about that particular fantasy.

There is a news item about hamas ,after having agreed to the newest *ceasefire* now wants changes. One thing they are demanding again, that the war end now instead of for only two months.
And in the article is this paragraph
“Washington has been pushing for a 60-day truce which would see the exchange of 28 of the 58 hostages still held in Gaza for more than 1,200 Palestinian prisoners and detainees, along with the entry of humanitarian aid into the enclave. Of the 58 hostages that remain, Israel believes 35 are dead.”
Israel gets ten living and later 18 dead, while the terrorists get another (more than a thousand were released previously) 1200 terrorists sent back to join them.
Why did the wit less koff include that? And why does Israel keep agreeing to releasing terrorists?
Bret says
The two state solution has been around for decades, many believing this would work. Unfortunately, no one asked the Palestinians. Palestinians have turned down every two state solution every time. Was not giving Gaza to the Palestinians a two state solution that became oct 7.

Mike Huckabee is one smart guy – and a heckuva good bass player.

I really wish it was Huckabee – and not Witkoff – designing US policy on Israel. Witkoff is way too compromised

Yes, Infidel.

Agreed. Even setting ties to Qatar aside – Witlessdummkopf’s proposals are stupid, proving the fact that he is stupid. Totally unfit for the job.
Trump believes in deals and sends in someone who doesn’t have a grasp of even basic leverage. Who proposes and produces abomination after abomination. His incompetence is on full display. The only thing Trump should say to Witless is “You’re fired!

How about carving out a Palestinian Muslim state in an Arab Muslim state. That would be more symbiotiic.
