Before the open borders riots, LA leftists and Jihadists were able to freely terrorize UCLA, assault a synagogue and a Holocaust museum while going virtually unpunished. Their connections to the ruling elite were such that the Board of Supervisors voted to pay the legal bills of the UCLA thugs who assaulted Jewish students and community members, and the only people charged in the antisemitic riots were Jews who defended themselves.
Now that same network pivoted to attack ICE. Some of them are waving Mexican flags, but others are wearing Hamas and PFLP gear. Graffiti includes attacks on ICE, but also on “Zionists”.
Some of that is due to, as David Horowitz often quoted, the larger ‘struggle.’ “The issue is never the issue, the issue is the revolution.” Which means that the rioters care as much about Hamas as they do about open borders. But there’s also a growing integration of Islamic terrorism, especially Hamas and Hezbollah, into leftist activism which means that Islamic terrorist insignia shows up everywhere and is the equivalent of Che shirts. And there’s also a growing contingent of actual Islamic terrorists and terror supporters joining the party.

This is done through citizens militias, armed and with a minimum of training with the support of law enforcement.

Time for true punishment of the leaders of these groups. Any ” non -profit” funneling money backing these groups should lose their “non-profit ” status and should not any receive taxpayers money. You have a right to demonstrate not a right to violently attack public officials arresting people who break federal law “Demonstrations” do not, should not be funded by taxpayers monies .Nor should shadowy groups with foreign backers who are looking to overthrow the rule of law in America be accepted as just “expressing” their freedom of speech by having violent goons payed to violently riot .I am not a lawyer ,but this should fall into the RICO act the feds used against the mob over the last 60 years. I would have assumed all these Democrat politicians like Maxime Waters swore an oath to uphold the laws of the US when she was elected, yet she is calling for insurrection & violence against the people upholding the law to deport illegal aliens.
