Iran’s back is against the wall, given the Trump administration’s drawing-out of the regime. The Islamic Republic is being forced to show its hand to the world and reveal that its goal is and has always been to acquire a nuclear bomb. Iran fears Israel, which has vowed that it will not allow the regime to acquire a nuclear weapon. Trump has also stated that the “US will not allow Iran to enrich ‘any’ uranium under nuclear deal.”
The Islamic Republic of Iran knows that the countries to which it refers as the “Little Satan” and the “Great Satan” are serious. It does not intend to surrender its nuke plans, and so for now, it is building up defense systems and buying time in the process, while it seeks to strengthen its anti-American allies, such as China. Iran’s Islamic regime is determined “to further promote the implementation of the China-Iran comprehensive cooperation plan.”

Iran is strengthening its air defense systems amid preparations for the possibility of an American or Israeli attack on the country’s nuclear infrastructure should nuclear negotiations fail, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.
“We are witnessing an impressive improvement in the capabilities and competence of the country’s air defense system,” Iran’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohammad Baqeri reportedly said in May, adding that Iran’s military has seen a “multi-fold increase in investments.”
“The enemies of the Iranian nation should understand that any violation of our airspace will cause them significant harm,” he added.
According to Western intelligence assessments and security analysts’ investigation of satellite imagery, Iran appears to have relocated several anti-aircraft missile launchers to positions close to key nuclear sites like Natanz and Fordow, the report says.
A significant portion of Iran’s most advanced anti-aircraft missiles and radar systems – including its long-range Russian S-300 systems – were destroyed or damaged during Israeli air strikes on the country in October and April 2024, the FT states….

I’ll bet my money on Israel’s and the US’s ECM (electronic countermeasures) and ECCM (electronic counter-counter measures) over anything that Iran can field, including Russia’s SAM-400 systems (if Russia will give it to them). Also, should a B-2 be used, that plane is so stealthy, it is essentially undetectable until it releases its bombs. The most modern fighter that Iran has is the F-14 which was part of a purchase made by the Shah. The Iranians are incapable of maintaining that plane, and while it was the best fighter at the time, its performance pales in comparison to any fighters likely to escort the B-2s.
I think that the Ayatollah knows that Iran is in deep s*** by seeing what the US and Israel did to the Houthis, but since his faith in Allah is unwavering, he will chance it. And when Iranian assets are destroyed, he will chalk it up to not praying to Allah hard enough.
Hopefully the Ayatollah’s stance changes when he is personally on the receiving end of a US or Israeli bombing mission.
It is a shame that Iran as an oil-rich nation chose to squander its wealth in jihad, leaving 38% of its citizens living below the poverty line and 6% living in extreme poverty. I’ll bet that these people would welcome a US/Israel attack and a liberating army.

No one should be surprised by this development. iran wants war; believing they will win, believing their false ‘god’ will help them defeat their enemies and completely kill all of the Jews.
And they know that Israel will do all they can to prevent that.

Negotiations with Iran started on April 12 2025. Trump warned Iran earlier in a letter saying, “I hope you’re going to negotiate because if we have to go in militarily it’s going to be a terrible thing.” He also stated that a deal must be reached in two months. Well, Iran has no desire to comply with US demands or reach a deal, and that two months will be up in a weeks time. Will they go in militarily, we will within the next few weeks.
