Iran wants America and Israel to know just how prepared it is, in case the Great Satan and the Little Satan are thinking of unleashing a strike on its nuclear facilities. Iran has as usual been uttering threats meant to be bloodcurdling. The Islamic Republic has also put on ostentatious display a few of its anti-missile defense systems, including at least one S-300 battery that it was believed had been destroyed by Israel in its attack on Iran on October 26.
Iran is now in the position of those frogs and toads that, when feeling threatened, will often suck in air and blow themselves up like a balloon, in order to make themselves look bigger and more fearsome to their enemies. More on Iran’s latest blowhard puffery can be found here: “Iran preparing for Israeli, US strikes, building up air defense systems – FT,” Jerusalem Post, June 3, 2025:
Iran is strengthening its air defense systems amid preparations for the possibility of an American or Israeli attack on the country’s nuclear infrastructure should nuclear negotiations fail, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.
“We are witnessing an impressive improvement in the capabilities and competence of the country’s air defense system,” Iran’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohammad Baqeri reportedly said in May, adding that Iran’s military has seen a “multi-fold increase in investments.”
“The enemies of the Iranian nation should understand that any violation of our airspace will cause them significant harm,” he added.
A month ago, the Iranians promised that they would “crush” the Zionist enemy if it attacked. Two weeks ago, they promised that if the Zionists attacked, they would face “annihilation.” Now that has been toned down, by the top Iranian general, Mohammad Baqeri, to “significant harm.” Even the Iranians saw how silly it was to promise such an impossibility as “crushing” or causing the “annihilation” of a country as powerful as Israel.
According to Western intelligence assessments and security analysts’ investigation of satellite imagery, Iran appears to have relocated several anti-aircraft missile launchers to positions close to key nuclear sites like Natanz and Fordow, the report says.
A significant portion of Iran’s most advanced anti-aircraft missiles and radar systems – including its long-range Russian S-300 systems – were destroyed or damaged during Israeli air strikes on the country in October and April 2024, the FT states.
Despite that, experts believe that many components of Iran’s air defense system remain intact or appear to have been repaired in recent months.
Weapons have been displayed to the public to refute destruction claims
Military equipment and weapons have been publicly displayed in Iran, with an S-300 launcher and a radar truck presented in Tehran during the country’s Army Day celebrations in May, and an S-300 shown launching an anti-aircraft missile during a military exercise in February….
Why do I suspect that it was the same S-300 shown in both the parade and at the military exercise? And the S-300 is not very effective; it is almost a decade old, and both the American and Israeli militaries have found ways to evade its missiles. It is the more advanced S-400 that is worrisome, but it isn’t clear that Russia has supplied those systems to Iran.
The Iranians are warning the Americans and the Israelis not to try anything — a warning the Israelis will regard as the blague it is, but putting on these public displays of defensive weaponry are also meant to reassure their people that yes, even after the Israeli attacks in October and April, we still have our anti-missile systems largely intact. This is both true and false. A great many of its anti-missile defense systems, possibly 80% to 90% of them, were destroyed by Israel. Iran is simply putting on a show of the handful that escaped destruction, or that have been newly built in the last few months.
“Iran is drafting a negative response to the US proposal, which could be interpreted as a rejection of the US offer,” the diplomat said.
By rejecting the US proposal in such an abrupt fashion, Tehran is sure to anger President Trump. His patience may soon run out, and that could mean that he will provide Israel with the bunker-buster bombs, and the planes to carry them, that Israel would need to destroy the nuclear facilities underground at Natanz and inside a mountain at Fordow. Trump may even intend for the American military to join Israel in a massive strike on Iran’s nuclear program. Either possibility would be welcomed by the IDF planners at the Kirya, and by peace-loving people everywhere.

Israel and the U.S. must work together, ensures a more successful attack to remove all capabilities of nuclear bombs by Iran. You can’t compromise with Islam, compromising is complacency.
It shouldn’t take 1400 years to learn the above.

Iran would make a great parking lot or waste dump.
MJ Raichyk, PhD says
What about the implied massive release of nuclear radiation and waste spewed in such an attack…. There are consequences AFTER the success of whichever Satan pulverizes the bunkers… Wind-carried over WHOM, which Arab allies would be ‘beneficiaries’ and WHICH OTHER PEACE-LOVING PEOPLES…?
Why is this not dealt with in public decision evaluating..

I’m going to predict that there will be a surprise attack by Israel, aided by the U.S., in the next two weeks.
The nuclear sites will be destroyed, and the Iranian people will cast off this savage abominable leadership that has enslaved them for almost half a century.
If such were to happen, successfully, then it would be an epochal event in middle eastern history. And Donald Trump will have cemented his position as one of the greatest Presidents.
John Smith says
I’ll go along with that Crown. Trump warned Iran that if a deal can’t be reached after two months of negotiations, then the military will be used. Negotiations started on the 12th April so that two months will be up next week and we are nowhere near a deal.
I hope Trump doesn’t go back on his word.

Well, it certainly SHOULD happen within the next two weeks.

Given how Iran got humiliated by Israel last October, it’s a wonder that they are still stupid enough to think that they could win a war against Israel. The Glenn Greenwalds and the Candace Owens of the world would be in no position to save them
The more dangerous countries are Turkey and Qatar, particularly Turkey. Nobody sees them as an adversary, except already weak countries like Armenia, Cyprus and Greece (although India has just joined that list, thanks to Turkish drones being a part of Pakistan’s war effort weeks ago). Qatar influence-peddling its way into seeing that we protect it, while Turkey quietly devouring Syria, and probably next looking at the rest of Kurdistan and Iran
