I doubt that if the regime is toppled, that any of its members will be able to take the reins of power. They’ll probably be purged, and Iran, absent the above Pahlavi plan, will probably plunge into chaos. One concern I have is Turkey or other neighbors taking advantage of the situation and trying to carve up Iran
Another reason that I don’t think a member of the current regime will come to power is that something like 60% of Iranians are now non-muslims, contrary to the narrative that that country is 99% muslim. This was in 2020, and I think even that 40% number has plummeted. If the majority population is non-muslim, and that too as a result of experiencing an islamic regime for 46 years, it’s not likely to tolerate another islamic regime coming to power, given the opportunity to get rid of it

After his apostasy he went to Mecca and joined the Qorayshites.’
Other writers reveal that later Muhammad and his people did go war with the Qorayshites and he personally killed Abdollah. Obviously Abdollah knew too much and Muhammad wanted Abdollah’s knowledge to die with him.”

Over the years many of the former members of the vanguard of the Islamic Revolution in Iran have turned on each other. The fact that Mossad was able to assassinate Ismail Haniyeh in one of the most secure IGRC safe-houses in Iran shows that even within the Praetorian Guard of the Islamist regime there are enemies and rivalries. It is very much a house divided against itself. I found it significant that Khamene’i decided to remove himself to Mashhad. That is his hometown where his extended family is located: he no longer trusts his own state security apparatus in Tehran.

I’m sure that everyone here has had pens run dry, even at inconvenient moments–this happens to pens. Not actually a conspiracy.

The majority of Iranian people are still muslims, so changing the current Iranian govermnet may not work as expected, especially if the west who helps to overthrow its government let the Islamists take control. See what happens in Iraq and Suriah, those countries become worse after changing the rulers.
