A man and woman were publicly flogged 100 times each in Indonesia’s conservative Aceh province on Wednesday after they were found guilty of sex outside marriage by a court operating under strict Islamic law.
Sexual relations between an unmarried couple are outlawed in Aceh, which imposes a version of sharia, the Islamic legal code.
Indonesia banned sex outside of marriage in its latest criminal code in 2022 but that law will not come into force until next year.
The two were lashed in sets of 10 with a rattan stick as a small crowd watched on at a park in provincial capital Banda Aceh, and the female suspect was lashed by a woman, according to an AFP reporter at the scene.
Three other suspects were caned a combined 49 times for alleged gambling and alcohol consumption….

Muslims are hypocrites, they implement the shariah law on others but never on themselves. They learn how to become hypocrites from their role model, Muhammad. For example, Muhammad forbids muslims to have more than FOUR wives, but he allows himself to have unlimited number of wives.

sad to see continued slide in Oceania… Islam has a history of this kind of colonizing but never get called out for it.
Whether caravan robbers by land, or pirates by sea, the pattern is the same. Grab hold of territories on trade routes and then raid them.
Between this enclave in Indonesia and Maylasia (similarly suffering same fate), is the Melaka Straight, which for centuries has been among the busiest trade waters anywhere in the world, but now in a familar story is also the most Pirated.
Just like the slik road, that remarkable trade route was ended by raiders, now today most sea routes are under the same threat, and stand to suffer the same fate. Piracy at the hands of Islam.
Somalia, Red Sea, North Coast Africa, its all the same story. Follow the pattern. Aggressive colonialism imposing their will on a people to gain strategic advantage from which to commit economic jihad. All hiding behind the same vail.
Just the use of the work vail here exposes the degree to which our vernacular has already accomidated..
Indonesia is already broken up, and some neighboring countries have already formed sharia states. Brunei is chief example that is now under sharia legal system entirely, completing their slide just few years back before COVID.
The Philippines are next in the crosshairs…
As the losses continue to mount in this Eastward expansion, left unchecked it will go down as one of the largest capitulations in history. One with devastating effects on the local population and rest of world in ways that are incredibly hard to undo.
