A court ruling on Monday in Britain, if it is allowed to stand, could do nothing less than change the course of that country’s history, and that of the entire world. The U.K. has taken a decisive step away from the principles of free speech that it played a dominant role in formulating and giving to the world. There is serious cause for doubt now about whether the Sceptered Isle will even survive as a free society.
Officially, Hamit Coskun was found guilty of a “religiously aggravated public order offence.” His specific crime, however, was that he publicly burned a copy of the Qur’an, the Islamic holy book. It is not a crime to burn the Qur’an or any book in Britain; Coskun wasn’t convicted of burning the book as such, but of disturbing the public order by doing so. That means that he poses a problem for British law not insofar as he burned a book, which is permitted, but because in doing so he opened the door to public disturbances, which is not permitted. In other words, Hamit Coskun was convicted of a crime because Muslims might have rioted or committed jihad terror attacks over his actions.
In convicting Coskun, the U.K. has thus enshrined the heckler’s veto as part of British law. If he had burned a Bible, no one would have cared, and there would have been no possible disturbance to the “public order.” The threat of jihad violence is now guiding the course of British law and infringing upon the freedom of speech. The British government has now compounded the prospect of some Muslims reacting violently to the burning of the Qur’an by making it clear that whether they do or not, the culprit will have to face the wrath of the British state.
For his part, Coskun charged, quite correctly, that his conviction would “deter others from exercising their democratic rights to peaceful protest and freedom of expression.” Reading that, British authorities likely nodded their heads in agreement, as that’s exactly what the conviction is designed to do. Nevertheless, Coskun, who has made it clear that he intended his burning of the Qur’an to call attention to the crimes done in the name of Islam and in accord with its teachings, vowed that he would “continue to campaign against the threat of Islam.”
Coskun pointed out that “Christian blasphemy laws were repealed in this country more than 15 years ago and it cannot be right to prosecute someone for blaspheming against Islam.” He asked a question that British authorities would do well to ponder, but won’t: “Would I have been prosecuted if I’d set fire to a copy of the bible outside Westminster Abbey? I doubt it.”

He was essentially convicted of saying “f you, f islam”, after the maniac with the knife attacked him for burning the koran.
The judge didn’t even give him understanding for this verbal outburst given he’d just been attacked.

They then engineered this public order offence for his words.
The knife attacker was given bail immediately after incident. Still hasn’t gone to trial yet.
It actually isn’t a blasphemy law by the back door, it is essentially a sharia law. Given the fact this will only apply to those who offend and criticise the death cult of islam.

For me, what stood out was the word “likely” as in
“likely to cause alarm”.
How does “likely” worm its way into British legal code or become a criterion for a conviction.
– It is likely, your Honour, and the prosecution will argue…
– “Likely”, my learned counsel? How likely?
– Very likely, your Honour.
– Very, very likely.
– If you like, most likely, your Honour, egregiously likely.
– Not likely at all, counsel, I think.
– I, respectfully, beg to differ, your Honour.
– Likely as not. Perhaps we should examine this worm of a word “likely”. How define it, counsel?
– …umm..likely is…um..sort of.. perhaps…not certain…likely subject itself to doubt..um…your Honour.
– Just so. Case dismissed. The defendant can breathe again and is free to go.

Indeed, it is all astonishing. Of course was anyone in the area actually distressed? Maybe the knife attacker was? Poor guy.
Just the last few months alone shows that the UK legal system is fully infiltrated by lefty campaigning judges. Also those who bring any prosecutions for the state/crown. And the civil service generally.
As said in the video, hope the guy appeals and wins. However, the fix is already in. Unlikely to be changed, although I hope it is.
The guy who burned the koran is actually what I would consider to be genuine refugee. Most are not. His previous persecution as mentioned in the video may help in an appeal.
Of course the piece here making the point that it is now even more of an open season for muslims to attack who ever the like.

Not matter what many Brits have told their Lords and Masters in some cases for nearly thirty years, they have just done the opposite making things worse each of those years.
I also blame the Brits who kept their heads in the sand because they either didn’t want to know, or they thought they’d be OK.
There has been a realisation over the last year in the UK by many of those who just went along with it. Finally realising that they are being affected by the onslaught of 3rd world sewage flowing in to Western Europe.
But at this point, without the most severe of action, it is too late.
The only option now is can the genuine Brits win a civil war?
Can those in the bent police and military be relied upon to join that side?

The UK was gone a long time ago when it banned Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller—the unlikely twins—from ever entering the country again. It seems that Robert Spencer is also banned from setting foot anywhere in the EU (but I’ll bet that Orban’s Hungary would be willing to now let him in). By the way, Hungary and Wales are the only European countries that I would ever consider setting foot in, and Budapest is beautiful; I may go there again now that I have a basic traveler’s knowledge of Hungarian. I would only go to Wales to visit family.

Hey Britain. Just a few years ago, around 1776ish was this country who had decided that being ruled over by a dictator/monarchy was found to be distasteful by the people. Some parallels here, Read about how they ended the out of control government and forced submission. Interesting reading.
