New in PJ Media:
While patriots continue to hope that Elon Musk’s rift with President Trump isn’t permanent, leftists are earnestly hoping that it is, and that they can entice the billionaire entrepreneur back to the side of authoritarianism, race hatred, victimhood posturing, gender madness, and to top it all off, incurable and utterly irrational self-righteousness. Yet in trying to win over Musk, leftists look even more ludicrous than they usually do (including the ones who don’t have green hair). After all, isn’t this the guy they were insisting was a Nazi up until about five minutes ago?
Heedless of the glaring inconsistency in the left’s messaging, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Newsom SSR), posted this on X Thursday: “If Biden had a big supporter criticize him, Trump would have hugged him the next day. When we refused to meet with @RobertKennedyJr, Trump embraced him & won. We can be the party of sanctimonious lectures, or the party of FDR that knows how to win & build a progressive majority.”
The Democrats didn’t just refuse to meet with RFK Jr. They rigged their primary system so that he couldn’t mount an effective challenge against Old Joe Biden’s reelection campaign, only to turn around and dispense with Old Joe in a palace coup after RFK was safely out of the picture. They behaved this way because the Democrat party is made up of leftist authoritarians who despise the “democracy” they profess to champion (it’s actually a republic, kids), and so Khanna is going against the prevailing winds in calling for a reconciliation with Musk, but he made the best case he could anyway.
Khanna’s case was primarily based on the idea that having Musk on their side would benefit the Democrats. He stated: “Having Elon speak out against the irrational tariff policy, against the deficit exploding Trump bill, and the anti-science and anti-immigrant agenda can help check Trump’s unconstitutional administration. I look forward to Elon turning his fire against MAGA Republicans instead of Democrats in 2026.”
Khanna also said of Musk: “We should ultimately be trying to convince him that the Democratic Party has more of the values that he agrees with. A commitment to science funding, a commitment to clean technology, a commitment to seeing international students like him.”
Wait a minute. The Democrats have more of the values with which Musk agrees? Really? Does that mean that the Democrats are a National Socialist party? Of course they aren’t. They’re an international socialist party, and it’s grimly ironic that they’re now hoping to win the allegiance of a guy they’ve been smearing as a National Socialist for the last six months.
There is more. Read the rest here.

The Democratic do not see this riff came about because Musk wanted to cut more programs more fat from the federal government then Trump was willing to do. Trump kept more entailment programs in the budget bill so it would past .So it is the old if it goes against Trump wishes even if it helps voters with keeping most democratic backed entailment programs off the chopping block and keeps democratic voters satisficed they love anyone who disagrees with Trump. Anyone even if they are for clean safe food and are willingly take on big drug companies and big food processors (RFK) if they work with Trump administration must be evil? This is the party that said with a straight face in May 2024 that Biden was sharp ,the “best most energic Biden that ever was ?Telling the public to not believe your lying eyes or ears as talked, walked, and bumbled like a senile nursing home escapee .After the debate in July 2024 the democrats dumped him as running in 2024 election because he was too far gone to run ,but kept him in office till Jan.2025??!!! How anyone with a memory longer then a gold fish believe the MSM or take the democratic word they have the “people best interest at heart”? So Biden is good to run in May 2024 then dumped with no one primary to run in his spot in July 2024? Then Musk in April 2025 is call a Nazi because of his autistics jerky movement in public ,and is called a savior of the public good in June 2025 because he strongly disagrees with Trumps horse trading reaching across the democratic aisles to get Trumps budget passed? If Trump sided with everything Mush wanted the bill would not pass ,and everything would be dead locked .

In the end, “Smoke And Mirrors”. Did people stop buying the Model T because of Henry Ford’s politics or oil products because of John Rockefeller’s? They would today, for perhaps a few months – same end result.
I’m guessing that we are witnessing a choreographed play to disconnect Musk’s enterprises from long-term politics starring Trump and Musk. Though it makes for temporary eye-watering stock market swings, like a system response from a shock stimulus, the variations dampen to the original baseline. It’s a field day for the media and stock wonks while downplaying the real currents of war and AI that are rushed without effective controls.

One just has to watch this Democrat reaction to realize how vapid they all are
Yeah, both Dems and Musk oppose the Big Beautiful Bill, and no Dem is voting for it in Congress. But their reasons are diametrically opposed! Had Musk gotten the bill he wanted, Dems would be opposed to it even more, but they’d be salivating at the GOP defectors they might have won over – certainly Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski in the senate. Similarly, had the Dems had a majority and passed any bill in Congress, Musk would have opposed it even more, just like he did in 2021
One thing I wish Musk had done – just stated that he doesn’t care whether or not EV subsidies and mandates remain: that would lend him more credibility. Right now, by saying that the subsidies going away fro EV charging stations is unfair, he’s putting himself in the same page as Dems, which is needless, since he said in 2021 that he did not consider those subsidies or mandates necessary
He is right on the merits, though. DOGE has been digging up tons of waste and getting rid of it, but only $9 billion of that is making it into the final bill, which is a joke. But it’s not Trump who needs to be dinged: it’s all those squishy GOP Congressmen who are still behaving today as if Obama is still the president

Yes.
At this point, if electric vehicles cannot sell without tax credits, subsidies, mandates, etc., then there is something wrong with the product.

Some of his inventions, and companies, have been great. For SpaceX, he is a genius for figuring out how to monetize his rockets – by providing internet access to coldspots in both this country and abroad. Boring Company is also great, for making underground tunnels – an application that has potential largescale uses, such as hardening the grid. I have warmed up to Neuralink, which at one time looked to me like just about planting chips in people: it is great if it can solve problems like certain types of paralysis (forgotten which)
Tesla looks a great car, but the way it currently is, it’s a boondoggle. Maybe it might have had a better chance had it been hybrid. Right now, to do anything on that car, its battery needs to be healthy. Once it no longer is, one can’t do anything w/ it – open the doors, pop the hood, etc. That’s why Tesla has its own roadside services: commercial roadside services do not cover them due to those complications. That in turn increases the cost of ownership of those cars. That’s in addition to all the downsides of batteries – from the rare earths to their weights on the road – they are far heavier than most trucks, and would increase the wear on commercial roads
Incidentally, Musk’s traditional customer base for Teslas was the elite Left, who are all on the Climate-change bandwagon (Remember Bill Maher mocking average people hurting over gas prices, saying that “Gas can be $14/gallon: I don’t care – I drive a Tesla”?) After they turned on him, he started getting customers from people on the Right, some of who can afford it. By doing what he’s doing now, he risks turning them off again, which partly explains why Tesla stocks tanked after his outburst: it’s not like he’s likely to win back Leftist customers
Finally, @X started off well as a Free Speech platform, but has once again devolved into censoring, even if at the behest of governments. Also, Grok has been a disaster: as RS pointed out, on islam, it’s absolutely worthless, regurgitating propaganda points from muslims. Someone needs to teach AI how to read actual original texts, be it in .pdf, .docx, .doc, .rtf, .txt, and use that as a baseline to answer questions about, say, whether a certain book says Y instead of Z. Right now, it can’t: it can only learn what people tell it. Another major downside of most, if not all AI engines, is using Wikipedia as their source of knowledge

Infidel,
Thank you for your very detailed reply, covering many issues.
Re: EV’s, I have never seen a “cradle-to-grave” analysis regarding the environmental impact. But I would not be surprised if had more of a negative impact than regular internal combustion vehicles.
And the thing that scares me the most, although very rare with Tesla cars, is spontaneous combustion of the lithium battery – especially while charging.
If parked in your garage overnight, it could burn the house down.

In the end people the clear majority of people vote Trump as President in .Trump wanted in the beginning to use Musk knowledge and advice to reduce federal spending that is out of control. Trump is the President he does not have to take all the advice of Musk .Musk can only serve Trump at Trump leave and pleasure. Trump like any employer can fire his employee if he displeases him .This public hissy fit of Musk does him or the nation any good .Anyone fired from a job can complain that does not get him the job or trust of his employer back by bad mouthing him in public. The whole thing is in bad taste

Elon musk’s irrational behaviour is consistent with someone who is either drunk or high on drugs. Even though Elon has admitted to being both drunk and high on drugs in the past, I believe his problem is drugs, Ketamine in particular.. He has even told people that he was taking so much ketamine that it was affecting his bladder and chronic abuse of ketamine is associated with bladder problems.
So lay off the drugs Elon.

I wasn’t a fan of his before 2020. There was that incident w/ the Thai soccer players, where Elon got pissed b’cos the veteran rescue operative wouldn’t use his Boreing Company’s equipment to stage the rescue. He followed it up by accusing the guy of being a pedo, and got sued. I think he settled
Also, I get his point that collapsing birthrates are an issue, but his way of addressing it is just cringeworthy: having an open harem of sorts, and impregnating different women at different times, w/o being there for his kids. He gave quality time to X (who he initially gave a weird first name of X Æ A-12 before changing it to X), bringing him along to the White House, but his other kids deserved some of his attention as well. Most recent was the baby that Ashley St Clair had w/ him, but she got sick of him giving her kid no attention, and ultimately filed for sole custody
I recognize that most people who achieve what either he or Trump have achieved would have rather swollen heads, but even then, there is too much in life about which he seems oblivious

Thanks for the reply Infidel, you pointed out some very interesting facts about Elon that I was completely unaware of.

Look, Trump has a long history of expecting others to be loyal to him while he often doesn’t reciprocate.
I’d like to know why he didn’t stop the Chagos deal given it was Biden who gave the go-ahead. It will affect the US eventually even if he’s only concerned for the US right now on that.
And why hasn’t he pardoned the cop who got screwed over for the armed robber savage George Floyd.
I’ve always viewed Trump as being far from perfect. Others may be seeing that now. But still better than what could have been.

Musk is just a greedy opportunist who wants to pile money. He will change side in a blink of eye when the situation arrises. He gains a lot from EV subsidies in the west abd he colludes with the China communist party.

It seems like Musk started the feud to sell cars. Suddenly attacks on Telsa dealerships have quit. Owning a Telsa no longer carries the MAGA stigma. The feud started the day that Musk quit DOGE on good terms.
