A Texas event for Christians supporting Israel had to move venues following ‘extremely concerning’ security threats. When the location of the new venue became public, prompting more threats, the group was forced to cancel the event.
A pro-Israel Christian event scheduled to take place in Dallas, Texas, was indefinitely postponed due to threats reportedly made by “radical jihadist” elements in the United States.
The HaYovel Israel Summit, which was initially planned for the Arlington Expo Center and later moved to Eagle Mountain International Church, was canceled on Thursday. According to Tim Miller, CEO of the LionHeart International Services Group, a private security company, security intelligence indicated that “there was active planning to target this event.”
Miller, a veteran Secret Service officer and former member of the Marine Corps, described the security alerts as “extremely concerning.” He referenced the recent murders of a young couple working at the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC, as well as the firebombing of a group of peaceful Jewish marchers in Boulder, Colorado, last week.
“That tends to inspire like-minded people to physical acts of violence and that was the concern and a foundation for some of the decisions that were made,” Miller told The Media Line.
In a letter to the 700 expected attendees, HaYovel—an organization that brings Christians to Israel to volunteer—wrote, “While we are unsure of where and when the next Israel Summit will take place, we are not giving up. One thing we are certain of is this: the enemies of God’s Kingdom will NOT prevail. Together, we will continue to stand with the land and people of Israel.”
The organization apologized to those who had made travel plans and hotel bookings, saying it would work to issue full refunds for the three-day event, which was set for June 9 through 11.

I saw a report (from a different source) on this a couple of days ago. It said a thousand were expected to attend. It also named the group “targeting” these Christian supporters of Israel. The word “palestinian” was included.
These ones took “target” to mean they would be attacked by the terrorists, not just have a protest.
And on another front, some in the government here have called the rioting, throwing rocks at ICE agents, burning vehicles, and flying foreign flags, calling the police ‘pigs,’ as “peaceful protests.”
so it’s no wonder that the event was moved and then has been temporarily postponed.
Good will win, but it’s going to take a lot of fighting and resisting the evil.

Jesus was speaking to Peter (Matthew 16:18) about the establishment of His Church (or Congregation) and that nothing would stop it, not even death.
And yes, there is a lot of *hell*….a lot of death and so very much evil. surrounding and threatening us.
I also like the verse where the prophet Elisha’s assistant is told to look up at the hills and see that “There are more who are with us than those who are with them.” (2 Kings 6)

Neither place so far, was actually in Dallas. The first was Arlington, and the second was a private place.
But the police can’t necessarily protect against every terror act. that is one reason they had hired private security.

I lived in Arlington for a long time. Years ago, but there were many adherents of the islime already there. Lot of them went to UTA and lived many to the apartment complexes. Very visible, women wearing the slave scarves, males in their ickyness….ogling, salivating….
It’s no wonder they feel bold enough to “target” this event in Arlington.

Let’s hope the US and Texas government does what it should – treat this as domestic terrorism, track down all the devices used in the threats and their owners, and find the funding network.
Tax-exempt organizations lose that status, and the organizers can sue for all damages.
I have seen reporters track down the networks, so the government can do the same thing.

I hate to suggest any sort of vigilante violence, but perhaps these events should go forward with the warning that attendees would be allowed to take personal precautionary measures, and this would be acceptable to the hosting organization.

Stop being intimidated and find ways to overcome.
If the authorities won’t respond, take security measures yourselves. Barrier material, increased security guards, allowing participants to bring their own security PPE.

The organizers have already spent a lot of money on security. Perhaps as much as they can currently afford.
They are hardly “complacent.” Complacent:
“showing smug or uncritical satisfaction with oneself or one’s achievements”
What they are “showing” is a realization that the thugs, the terrorists, mean to do as they have threatened and just like the riots in LA prove, big guns don’t necessarily stop the violence against the ones holding the guns.
Christians don’t generally think about using guns on other humans.

Regarding “kowtowing” I don’t see that in this case. We have no information from the police, only from the organizers and the fact that they are being ‘targeted’ by these ones threatening them.
The second venue was offered by a preacher with his own congregation, and since his place was also targeted, the organizers felt the need to wait for safety’s sake.
That’s not giving in or “kowtowing,” but the ones threatening may feel that it is.

When you plan any event that “displeases Islam” you must make security and firepower your first concern. All those beautiful hilltop towns and villages in Europe were not chosen for their beautiful views but for peoples ability to defend themselves against armed invaders. We are now in the same situation as shown by the necessity to cancel this event. If you can’t defend your event, and don’t want to be fish in a barrel, – don’t bother. Islam doesn’t leave us another choice. Islam will come for you and they are already here.
