A professor at the medical school of the University of California at San Francisco has been posting on social media warnings about the dangers of having “Zionist doctors” treat Palestinian and other Arab patients. There have been cases of Arab doctors and nurses bragging about mistreating their Jewish patients, including two Arab nurses in Australia who were struck off after a video surfaced that showed them threatening to kill Israeli patients and boasting about refusing to treat not just Israeli, but all Jewish patients. But I know of no cases where Jewish medical personnel threatened to harm their Arab patients; nor should there be such cases.

Rupa Marya’s claim that the university “willfully misconstrued” her words will be weighed, and likely found baseless, in a court of law.
In January 2024, Marya published a blog post attacking by name a Jewish colleague who had urged a hospital antiracism task force not to issue a statement calling for a ceasefire, saying it would empower Hamas. She had been criticizing him on social media for weeks. (Marya’s account on X, once a very active home for her commentary, has since been disabled.)
Marya also published a thread on X arguing that Zionism should not be present in medicine, calling it a “structural impediment to health equity.”
How is it conceivable that supporting the right of Jews to have a state of their own has any effect on “health equity”? That would only make sense if Rupa Marya had the slightest evidence — she does not have any — that such support for Israel would lead to Zionist medical personnel providing substandard treatment to Arab patients. I suspect she is projecting onto Jewish colleagues what she would do — perhaps has already done — to Jewish patients. Were I a Jewish patient assigned to Dr. Marya, I’d fear the worst and quickly change doctors.
“There are so many Jewish doctors who don’t espouse an ideology of supremacism and justification of land theft, apartheid and genocide. They are not the issue here,” she wrote in January 2024. “The issue is Zionist doctors who will sit in an ‘antiracism task force’ meeting” — a clear reference to the doctor she later named in her blog — “and try to stop brown doctors who want to issue a Ceasefire statement by saying that a ceasefire would be a bad thing (read: let’s keep killing brown people in Gaza).”…
She has made a series of outrageous charges. To wit, that those Jewish doctors who support Israel are in thrall to an ideology “of supremacism,” and justify Israel’s “land theft, apartheid, and genocide.” Where is her evidence for any of those charges? The Jewish colleague she attacks by name is also “racist” because he tried to stop “brown doctors” from issuing a statement supporting a ceasefire in Gaza.. All Israeli Jews are “racists” because the Gaza war should be understood as “white” Israelis indiscriminately “killing brown people in Gaza.” She also posted on social media her belief that “Zionist” doctors are a threat to the wellbeing of “Arab, Palestinian, South Asian, Muslim, and Black patients.” Are these reasonable remarks, or an antisemitic slander that amounts to hate speech? The UCSF thought it was the latter, and decided to fire her.
I am sure that like me, you are looking forward to Rupa Marya having her day in court. And how pleasant it will be to see her come away after the verdict upholding her dismissal, enraged at the “injustice” that the “Zionists” somehow managed to perpetrate against her.

Hmmmm! While Yahyah Sinwar was serving four life sentences in Israel for orchestrating the abduction and killing of two Israeli soldiers and four Palestinians he considered to be collaborators, he complained to a prison dentist of neck pain and a loss of balance. The dentist seeing that the complaints were legitimate, referred him to an Israeli hospital where Sinwar was diagnosed with a brain abscess, a fatal condition if left untreated. Sinwar then underwent extensive neurosurgery to clean out the abscess and save his life. He was given the same care in the hospital as anyone else would have gotten with a similar diagnosis, leading to a full recovery, except of course he was escorted at all times by guards.
And Sinwar is not an isolated case. Back in 2018, Mahmoud Abbas was hospitalized with pneumonia in Ramallah, and his prognosis was poor since he was going into complete systems failure. Although the PA hid his condition from the public, Israeli intelligence found out and offered to move him to a hospital in Israel for the proper treatment. This was declined but Israel then offered to secretly send a specialist to the Ramallah hospital and that offer was accepted. Israel, in turn, decided to send a specialist to Ramallah, who joined the team of foreign doctors already treating the PA leader in an effort to stabilize his condition. After two days of intensive care, Abbas was out of danger, and a week later he was discharged from the hospital.
“Palestinians” who are in dire need of proper medical treatment are routinely allowed entry into Israel for that purpose, and Israeli hospitals treat them free of charge.
So, the good professor is either mistaken, or is willfully spewing venomous lies. By failing to cite even one instance of a Jewish physician rendering substandard care to an Arab or Muslim patient, she tacitly admitted that she has no knowledge of such occurrences. Jewish doctors tend to practice medicine with the highest ethical and professional standards, and most excel in their respective specialties. At best,Maher concerns are a figment of her imagination, and at worst she is deliberately lying.

Here is a women who went through medical school to help others and is supposedly highly educated. How do you go from that to hating Jewish people in general. There is a difference between disliking an individual and hating a whole society. If she can’t see the difference she needs to have her medical license pulled as she is a threat to others.

Islam is the “rotten apple”. ISLAM IS A FORM OF GOVERNMENT that also includes a religion. You cannot get the religion without the government.
