On the world’s muslim population, I don’t think there are 2 billion, but I do think that Robert’s estimate of 1.3 billion is too low: that’s a number we bandied about 10-15 years ago, and that population has only grown. Of course, that’s not factoring in people who are either MINOs or downright apostates, but that number is somewhat unknowable, thanks to the death penalty for apostasy. But even if the number were 2 billion, in terms of preparation, we have to be willing to go w/ the worst case assumptions that all if them are pro-jihad (even if many may not be), and then see what could be done to safeguard the remaining 3-6 billion people worldwide (discounting a potential 3 billion who could be Leftist pro-jihadists). Mr Ellis didn’t seem prepared to accept this
As Robert pointed out, loving death is by no means unique to Hamas. The 19 September 11 hijackers loved death dearly, which they had to in order to pull off the operation they did. So have other jihadists elsewhere in the world – in Kashmir, Chechnya, Libya, and any number of jihadist hotspots
On the question of there being no allah if you own a Bugatti, it’s not just Osama who was rich: the leaders of Hamas – Mashal, Haniyeh, Marzouk, et al are all billionaires – even if it is from money they looted from aid packages given to the Palestinians. On the question of Robert being vilified by muslims for citing the qur’an in the context of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, some months ago, on @X, it was being debated whether honor killings are islamic. I cited Surah 18 – the story of Khidr, w/o mentioning Robert at all, and the muslim I was responding to told me not to listen to Robert. I then asked him what was his interpretation of that chapter, and never got a response
I found a bit puzzling the claim that Egypt and Jordan are not islamic states and not ruled by islamic law. By muslim brotherhood standards, maybe, but the plight of the Copts in Egypt tells a different story. Similarly, both Saudi Arabia and the Emirates still have strong islamic laws on the books: it’s just that in both cases, the police have been told to go easy on infidels, educators have been told to stop teaching hatred of Christians & Jews, all in an effort to attract Western professionals. But neither country is at the point where their regimes have had the courage to declare that they’re no longer islamic states, the way Kemal did in Turkey in 1924
On the question of islam being an ideology and a religion, the same can be said about communism! Substitute Marx or Mao for Muhammad or Ali, and there’s your deity. In islam, blaspheming Muhammad would incur a death penalty: in China today, blaspheming Chairman Mao or Chairman Xi would do the same. And back in they day, the same thing would happen in the Soviet Union to those who dared speak out against Josef Stalin, and Chairman Kim enjoys the same sort of reverence in Pyongyang. My point: islam doesn’t deserve to be categorized in the same group as Christianity or Buddhism, but rather, belongs in the same group as international or national socialism
About the Jewish links to Marxism, which is now used by some on the Right to ding them, I saw somewhere online – maybe on @X, maybe on YouTube – something about President Putin claiming that it was Jews who drove the Soviet revolution (not sure what exactly he thinks about it). Except that the only Jewish member of the Soviet leadership was Leon Trotsky, and he was hardly someone calling the shots even during Lenin’s regime. He had the dirty jobs, like negotiating and signing the treaty of Brest-Litovsk, which gave Germany whatever Russian territory it wanted and for the first time in history, independence to Ukraine. All that couldn’t have endeared Trotsky to the Russian populace, already hostile to Jews courtesy the Romanovs
One of the last things he said – that the qur’an doesn’t have diving deliverance – is too obvious. Another thing he said about the Toronto police having 450 charges but being unable to act on anything: dear Kanucks, this is why south of the border, we have the Second Amendment, and if you had something like it, this corruption of your law enforcement wouldn’t be so big an issue
I do hope that as a result of this, Mr Ellis gets more informed about islam, and then determines how to handle it

In this video when Robert Spencer said that , many times , he was falsely accused OF “hate speech ” only for speaking about the terribly disturbing dangerous and death inflecting teachings of Islam. Right from the Islamic authorizes books of Islam.
Likewise , for a time , I was banned from Twitter for “hate speech” only for keyboarding that “Not all Muslims are violent and death inflecting jihadists, but all violent and death inflecting jihadists are Muslim.”

Under the old Agrawal-Gadde-Roth regime in Twitter, I was once suspended for using the term “rapefugee” to describe the muslim rape gangs in Europe and Britain. They locked my account and told me that I could only unlock it by providing a phone# and deleting that tweet
I went ahead and did it, but noticing most of my followers/followees gone, I deleted my account in solidarity w/ them. I only re-opened on @X months after Musk had purged a whole bunch of them

During the first part of this video discussion, Israel Ellis , spoke about those awful people who condemned the innocent victims of that horrifically cruel and` murderous Hamas massacre which occurred on October 7th, 2023 and excused those Muslim terrorists of Hamas for all the horrendously evil actions that they committed on that terrible day.
Related to this, the Bible informs its reader “Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent – the Lord detest them both.” Proverbs 17:15. [N.I.V.]

The interviewer is a decent fellow, and is certainly savvier about Islam than are most–but his idea that our biggest problm is “alientating moderat Muslims” b daring tp tell the truth about what Islam teaches is, sadly, part of the problem. Would he also demand that we not tell the truth about Hitler, lest “moderate Nazis” suddenly decided to kill us?
