Why has world opinion turned so markedly against Israel? Because people at high levels are willing to lie in this way.
“UN retracts aid chief’s claim that 14,000 Gazan babies will die in 48 hours without aid,” by Mathilda Heller, Jerusalem Post, May 21, 2025:
United Nations humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher told the BBC that 14,000 Gazan babies could die in the next 48 hours unless aid reaches them, a statement that was seemingly retracted soon after by other UN officials.
“There are five trucks just sitting on the other side of the border right now. They have not reached the communities they need to reach,” Fletcher told the BBC on Tuesday. “This is baby food, baby nutrition. There are 14,000 babies that will die in the next 48 hours unless we can reach them.”
When asked by the BBC how he came to this “extraordinary figure,” Fletcher explained, “We’ve got strong teams on the ground; they are at the medical centers, the schools, trying to assess needs.”
However, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) later told the BBC: “We are pointing to the imperative of getting supplies in to save an estimated 14,000 babies suffering from severe acute malnutrition in Gaza, as the IPC [Integrated Food Security Phase Classification] partnership has warned about. We need to get the supplies in as soon as possible, ideally within the next 48 hours.”
The IPC report stated that 14,100 severe cases of acute malnutrition may occur among children aged six to 59 months between April 2025 and March 2026. The report’s timeframe is one year, not two days.
As many commented on social media, 14,000 is around one quarter of the total alleged Gaza death toll for the entire 19-month war.
In a news conference later on Tuesday, a separate UNOCHA spokesman chose not to repeat the figure but said that if babies who are “in urgent life-saving need of those supplements” do not get them, they will be “in mortal danger.”
In the same conversation with the BBC, Fletcher also criticized Israel’s proposed humanitarian aid strategy, which involves moving Gazans to southern Gaza to a Hamas-free area to receive aid.
Israel decided to begin allowing humanitarian aid back into the Gaza Strip on May 18, almost two and a half months after it decided to prevent aid from entering Gaza when the first phase of a ceasefire deal ended on March 1….

Those Muslim terrorists of Hamas are so such thieves and despicably callus that that steal aid send peaceful people of Gaza and use in an different ways for the murderous jihad against the State of Israel and the Jewish people.
As an Israel government official had explained “They, Hamas, steal the aid, they resell the aid, they use the money to rearm, then they to attack again …. Aid that goes Hamas is not humanitarian ….”it’s “Enabling the enemy to resupply itself so that can regroup and reattack us..” [1]
Just thinking about this the Gazan people wouldn’t really need al that aid if Hamas hadn’t started this war on October 7,th 2023.

Jihadwatch recently showed the logistics that IDF was planning to get past the FAILED UNRWA gambit of claiming starving people when in fact UNRWA was not coming to do their responsibility
AND
Jihadwatch earlier had a VIDEO of the secured truck area and showed that UNRWA teams did not show up to do distribution of aid on the trucks that IDF had ferried through the Hamas-risk roads til safe from those robbers and corralled the trucks in a gated fenced area…
The logistics plan seemed the only way any Gazans we’re going to get any ‘aid’ and IDF was tired of being blamed…
To get control of that logistics planning required more clearing and organizing so blocking access to the existing trucks was necessary, LOGICALLY…
But when I searched for the video of the guarded trucks and no sign of UNRWA, no amount of AI searching would produce it…
Is that video HIDDEN somehow…. It would be very useful if someone had the LINK for it and would share it…

Thanks to Walter Sieruk, tho that name led down multiple strange paths, the specificity of his quote led to the Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs as the source of the assessment and likely the video source… ttyl

Those Muslim terrorists of Hamas are stealing the aid sent to the people of Gaza so that the jihadists of Hamas can put their other resources into the jihad in that vicious Islamic quest the destroy the State of Israel murder all the Jewish people of Israel and also of other nations
Those Hamas jihadists in their theft of that aid sent to the people of Gaza are engaging in the Islamic doctrine of “Muruna” which is the dogma of Islam that teaches committing evil for the greater good is a noble part of the jihad for Islam.
This is, in essence, the same type of “philosophy” that the communists had gone by in the twentieth century. That it’s a “good thing “ to commit many evils to obtain a “worker’s paradise.” Likewise, during World War II even the Nazis had this line of thinking.” To express, as in to illustrate this idea, even more, is by using a twenty-first century movie. Near the end of this movie, just before the final defeat of the super-arch –villain General Zod , that super villain said “No matter how brutal and deadly I was I did it for the greater good.” That is the common mindset of many villains including those of Hamas.

Honestly, I don’t care at all about Palis, including their infants. As the later story today about the Gazan man – not apparently a Hamas member – showed, they want to be the ones to decide when to end it. Since they themselves consider it a state of war, Israel is under no obligation to allow squat into Gaza
Instead, just allow Gazans to be flown out to other countries, such as Libya, Germany, et al, and once that’s complete, Israel should storm Gaza, massacre who’s left and then annex the strip
LibertyORdeath says
That’s a hard no on Germany.
I care much less about Israel than I do Germany. And Germany doesn’t deserve to have Israeli problems imported into their nation.
It’d be pretty simple to get the neighboring Muslim countries to take them…just cut off ALL the foreign aid and hit them with sanctions until they fold. It would probably take a few weeks.

Interesting idea.
Perhaps combined with tariffs…
