UK ‘involved in discussions with France and Saudi Arabia’ toward recognizing Palestinian statehood

In January, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas welcomed UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy at the Palestinian Authority’s headquarters in Ramallah.

Lammy “highlighted the UK’s backing for the efforts to gain international recognition of the State of Palestine and its full membership in the UN, as part of the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

Lammy’s meeting with Abbas severely undermined Israel, as Lammy aligned himself with a jihadist leader whom Israel rightly recognizes as no different from Hamas.

For anyone who has been paying any attention, Israel has been in a constant battle for its survival, which began on the day of its founding. The meddling of France and the UK is a delusional quest to establish Palestinian statehood. The Palestinians seek a one-state solution, that is, the total obliteration of Israel.

Lammy said it was “unacceptable that the Palestinian people remained stateless, and said a two-state solution remained the only option.” Surely he knows that “Palestine” is already recognized as a State by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, but Israel is not recognized. Why aren’t leftist France and the UK confronting the OIC about the latter?

The UK and France are causing further divisions in the Middle East, not working toward peace. They also have shown little to no concern about the persecution of Christians and other minorities in the Middle East and Africa.

France and the UK should pay attention to the Islamization of their own countries and the national security issues associated. Instead, they have openly surrendered to Islam and betrayed their respective countries.  It isn’t Jews who are blowing up infidels and racking up millions in security costs.

British Foreign Secretary David Lammy has said the UK government is involved in discussions with France and Saudi Arabia about recognising a Palestinian state ahead of a key United Nations conference on the issue in June.

Speaking to the House of Lords’ international relations and defence committee on Wednesday, Lammy said it was “unacceptable” that the Palestinian people remained stateless, and said a two-state solution remained the only option.

He acknowledged for the first time that the UK was working with France and Saudi Arabia in the run-up to the UN conference in New York to “to ensure we keep two states alive”.

French President Emmanuel Macron recently said that France, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, could recognise Palestine at the conference.

Asked when the UK government was likely to follow the 148 UN member states who have already recognised Palestine, Lammy said no one had a veto over when that happened.…

  1. First Kosovo back in the 00s, now Palestine….. What exactly stops these clowns from recognizing other more real countries, such as Pridnestrovia – the breakaway part of Moldova east of the River Dniester, b/w Moldova and Ukraine? It has a lot more of the attributes of a real, functional state, such as its own government, parliament, military, police, postal system, currency, and vehicle registration, as well as a constitution, flag, national anthem, and coat of arms. The Palis, by contrast, don’t have their own currency, won’t be allowed to have their own military given October 7th, and I doubt they have their own vehicle registration system either

    The 147 countries that recognize Palestine as a state are a joke, and one wonders how they would feel if their breakaway territories are recognized by a number of countries

    • The difference is: “palestine” is meant to be a thorn in the side of Israel; and those other places which go unrecognized are not rabid mozlums champing at the bit for the destruction of Israel.
      Saudia arabia france, etc. are all in for using the fake ‘palestinians’ as a weapon against those hated Jews in Israel.

  2. That’s very nice, not! Israel should have a say since it is their land on which the Palestine state would be created. Additionally, a Palestinian state would not solve the underlying problem of the Palestinian’s goal of destroying Israel. If the Saudis want a Palestinian state, there is plenty of room in the Arabian desert for such a state.

    In the meantime, Israel should see any incursion from Judea and Samaria or Gaza as an act of war and respond accordingly.

  3. Lammy will prove a disaster as a Foreign Secretary for the U K. He has already said he backs reparations to black people for slavery, shame he doesn’t know more about, including the participation of Africans and Arabs in it

  4. About 20 years back, Israel withdrew everything from the Strip. The Gazans could have used this opportunity to to develop hotels, farms and factories. Instead they chose to import arms, build rockets and dig tunnels.

    So if they achieved statehood, would they develop into a terrorist state or (to use a Trump term) a riviera ????

    I think we all know the answer.

    He is consistently out of touch with reality and makes a fool of himself and Britain all around the world.

    He really has nothing sensible to say.
    He is an anti white racist who makes a big deal our of being black and wanting reparations for the slavery Britain abolished 200 years ago and enforced this with the Royal Navy.

    Mr Lammy you were not brought here as a slave. The people in Britain are not slave owners. Better fit you woke up to this, stop stuffing you face with food and perhaps learnt a bit about other countries.

    Lammy is one of a dangerous crew called the Labour Party. The biggest traitors Britain has ever seen.

    What our fathers and grandfathers fought for was to preserve our nation and it’s freedom and this we remember on VE day.
    What a travesty and waste of life.
    Over the past 80 years our country has been progressively given away to foreigners.

    And Lammy is symbolic of what Britain has become.
    A bloody laughing stock – and a country us older folk no longer recognise.

    No GNP or economy other than US, EU and UN funding, No Problem.
    No jobs other than ones in Israel which could be problematic after Oct. 7 but….,No Problem!
    No History and a National Museum full of old keys and old shoes. No Problem.
    Voted “NO” every time a “Palestine” was offered to us. No Problem.

    Got a flag and lots of guns so what more do you need when trying to push the lawful and original natives of the land into the sea?

    With all the other loony woke ideologies of this current government – like reparations for slavery (for God’s sake!), I think it’s time the King stepped in and dissolved Parliament so we can have an election.
    Oh, wait a minute, the King is an admirer of Islam too. We are doomed, Doomed I Tell yet.

The Gazans (not Palestinians as these were a multicultural variety under Israel a few thousand years ago) have “voted” once 2 decades ago and the terrorists they voted for are still terrorizing Israel and will keep doing it as long as mini-Qatar’s oligarchs and their “bodyguard” Islamofascist Turkey keeps funding them and giving them passports from Istanbul expecting the same result as in Damascus where the al-Jolani beheaders have already killed 3000 Alawites and Christians and keep exterminating Kurds and Druzes.
    The unbelievable (but maybe not so for the Brussels scribblers) thing is the the EU now wants Sultan Erdogan’s Turkey to be member of its….Security Team and already have placed the Islamists non-member on the 150 billion Euro Arm Europe Committee!   14. We have the Jihadist Islamist regime of “Syria” and we now may have the Terrorist Islamist regime of Gaza! We can’t call it “Palestine” as this would be part of Israel. Londonstan under Starmer is getting too “woke” for its own citizens plagued by Islamist Sharia advocates mushrooming with their mosques courtesy of Sultan Erdogan and his Qatari benefactors.
    As is stated in this spot-on article, Londonstan and Paristan “Leftist” and “progressive” elites don’t look to their own countries’ extreme Islamization but prever to stay somnambulists who’ll wake up one day in a loud mosque next to their residences.

    And to show the sheer ignorance of the Brussels bureaucrats, Islamofascist Turkey has been invited and is part of their ReArm Europe Security committee (165 billion Euros). The Europeans need Sultan Erdogan to “show them how to enhance European Security and Defense”! Incredible stupidity but the money keeps flowing to Islamists from both Qatar and the EU. Somebody has to pay the Hamas and Muslim Bros.
