This is looking more like a comprehensive U.S. betrayal of Israel by the day. The idea that there is a humanitarian crisis in Gaza at all is a Hamas propaganda point. In reality, Gaza is awash in foodstuffs and other material from all over the world. Identifying a humanitarian crisis is the prelude to giving “humanitarian aid,” which Hamas has consistently seized and used to shore up its jihad against Israel. Is Trump going to end up aiding Hamas, as did Biden? It looks that way right now.
“Rubio speaks to Israel’s Netanyahu, says US troubled by Gaza humanitarian situation,” by Humeyra Pamuk, Reuters, May 15, 2025:
ANTALYA, Turkey, May 15 (Reuters) – U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said after he spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday that Washington is troubled by the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Rubio, speaking to reporters in Antalya, Turkey, said the U.S. was “not immune or in any way insensitive to the suffering of people in Gaza,” where no humanitarian assistance has been delivered since March 2.

He repeated the Trump administration’s stance that Hamas militants, who launched the October 2023 attacks that began the conflict, are to blame for the situation in Gaza.
“We think that the elimination of Hamas is what achieves peace. We’re troubled by the humanitarian situation,” Rubio said….
Stive says
Trump not troubled by food problems for druze, alawites, christians in Syria or in south Sudan or for the million afgans just pushed out of Pakistan or constant hunger of the poor in Egypt or even america in percentile not fed as well as Gaza ?
Bret says
How do you know he’s not troubled. We are not the world’s keepers. The poor in America is due to high taxes, high inflation too many business regulations too many illegals here lowering incomes of Americans. He is fixing all of those things. If these thing are corrected the economy will flourish and the only poor left will be the lazy. Seems like Trump ran in all of those problems. You are one of those who virtue signal and then expects government to fix it. Not what government is for. Somewhere along the way as you finally wizen up you will realize that all problems start by the government
Stive says
Do be so blind. Trump does not mention food needs of anyone else. Only Gaza Gaza Gaza like the rest of the world Looney tunes. It’s not about who needs to fix all the problems but trump mouth can only say Gaza Gaza like all the rest.
Bret says
You forgot Trump ran on fixing the economy stupid. That would help the poor here that you mentioned. Maybe for you he should mention every third world country and their poor. Is that your diversity?? Maybe he should mention some names of the poor in your city. Seems like “Gaza” is being mentioned pretty much everywhere. Your rebuttal is nonsense.
Eva says
As soon as he announced his ‘epic ceasefire deal’ he was a traitor to Israel. I said that at the time, and got jumped on by almost everyone.
This is what you get for being an ally of America, lies, betrayal, drained of resources, and a knife in the back.
Bret says
Do you really think that the Israelis are going object to a ceasefire and that makes him a traitor?? Do you really believe talks can even continue if they are both bombing each other. A ceasefire is the only option. Liberal bullshit. Your tds is fogging your liberal brain. Whether Trump or anyone else can stop this or the Israelis needs to totally destroy the opposition it remains to be determined. Just remember, if Israel needs to remove Hamas and Iran off the face of the earth to survive, Israel knows that people of your ilk will always damn the Jews.
Eva says
So anyone who doesn’t agree with YOU is a leftard or a tds sufferer?
I suggest you engage what small number of brain cells you have before you run your keyboard.
Or did I touch a nerve or three when I accurately described what happens to America’s allies?
I’m the Jew that WANTS Israel to wipe iran off the face of earth, and bomb gaza back to the dark ages it emerged from. So GFY.
Bret says
Yes you are a liberal. I suspect that you have voted for democrats for years. Trump is pretty much only friend Israel has. If Israel wanted them destroyed they would be. So you don’t agree with Trump so now he is a traitor. You are a tds sufferer.

Israel needs to stop giving to Gaza, period. The more they give the more they will be a target.
Just do what you need to do Israel and fight for your sovereignty to keep it intact. Islam sees you as weak for all your trying to do to keep people fed but here’s a news flash…they are laughing at you and taking without being thankful.
Wake up/wise up Israel. Seize control and show your strength.

I think that Trump is:
• Ignorant of essential facts of the war that has been waged for over 100 years against Israel—and, earlier, against the Yishuv—and the essential facts of the responses of the Israeli government—and, earlier, the leaders of the Yishuv—to that war.
• Ignorant of the tenets of Islam.
• Influenced by anti-Israel members of the foreign policy apparatus of the U.S. government, and by leaders of Islamic states with whom he has been meeting.
He needs to be informed of the essential facts:

Palestinian Authority Mouthpiece Says Trump Is ‘Full of Racism’ But Can Be Manipulated, by Andrew Tobin, The Washington Free Beacon, Nov 21, 2024

“…’You know, Trump is a racist president, he is full of racism and is an extremist,’ Omar Hilmi al-Ghoul said [as PMW reported] on the Palestinian Authority’s official TV station last Monday. ‘But at the same time, he is a dealmaker. … If we act wisely and cleverly according to the logic and mentality of Trump, it will be possible to cause a positive change in direction.’…”

That “humanitarian” situation is self inflicted. Israel, which has been disrespected enough over the last few weeks, should tell not just Rubio, but also Trump, to go pound sand. In the meantime, they should terminate all negotiations, go in, kill every Pali there (there are no innocent “Palestinians”), rescue the hostages, and annex all of Gaza. No need to wait to see which Arab/muslim country is interested in taking them
JS says
Israel needs to take ALL of Israel which includes Judea and Samaria.
In fact, Islam should only be allowed to exist in one sandbox nation – that they crapped up. They are a such a despicable lot and should have never been permitted to conquer, kill, steal, and lie throughout the ages.
They also pollute, destroy and breed like RATS and have the western international community pay for all their throwaway born suicide bomber demons, only then to send them to the west – to suck the life out of every “infidel” they encounter. Yep. They stir deep hate and their time is coming when they’ll face BLOWBACK!
Eva says
I’ll enthusiastically agree with everything you’ve said except one point.
The foul and bestial ideology that is islam shouldn’t be allowed to exist anywhere on the face of the earth, because if it is, it will escape it confines and blow through the world again, with it’s adherents committing even worse atrocities than they do now.
Better to wipe out now. That should have been done centuries ago.
࿗Infidel࿘ says

Eva says
It’s what they should have done right from the start.
Screw what ANY president, prime minister, government official or anybody else thinks.
Go in, get the job done, re-take the land.
Then repeat in Judea and Samaria.
Winston 101 says
Infidel,
I have an existential question about Israel and find it nearly impossible to find an answer.
Could I get your take, or direct me to information, on Israel’s ability to exist without support from the United States?
I do not want the U.S. to abandon Israel.
I’m concerned that Trump et al don’t really understand Islam and, therefore, don’t really grasp Israel’s situation. I think Trump et al view the Oct 7th War as between “Palestine” and Israel. I think Trump et al have a parochial view as opposed to seeing it as a war between Islam and the West.
My fear is that Trump thinks everyone wants a “good deal” so he’s limited in his ability to understand the greater reality of the situation.
I’ve never wanted to wrong so badly.
Edward McMunn says
Everyone should take a breath here. We do not know (and probably never will know) what the President or Rubio said in private. Try to remember how many BILLIONS of dollars in defense we have GIVEN Israel.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Money that Israel has to spend only in DC. They don’t actually get that money: when they place orders, that money goes to the US supplier – be it Lockheed Martin, Boeing,…. who then ship Israel the products ordered
Usually, what’s said in private is more hostile than what’s said in public, if the country in question is an ally. If it’s an enemy, then it’s the other way around: US could tell Russia in private not to overreact to something they say publicly. So it’s very unlikely that Israel is being secretly assuaged by the likes of Rubio or Trump. Also, while they still have a number of allies in the government – Hegseth, Vance,… they’ve lost a key ally in Walz, who was the only one willing to support Netanyahu when he wanted to suggest attacking Iran. So there’s little reason to think that the US is not throwing Israel under the bus, much like the last administration
JS says
Yes, and speaking of Iran… How could Trump kick the can of a nuclear Iran down the road to the children and grandchildren? Also, knowing what we know and thought HE KNEW, how does he think that his trade deals with Qatar (especially) would lessen the impact of what their Quran teaches them to do?
It’s also disturbing how the US has been cheering on what he’s done – as if it’s a victory for the US and world! This from a Trump supporter but now just wondering if he’s had a medical brain injury.
Bret says
Still working on stopping Iran having a nuke. He did not kick any can. In fact he just threatened them. Please read more. I suspect you were ok that Iran is close because of your very sharp President Biden
gravenimage says
Edward, are you saying that Rubio is lying in public? That seems unlikely.
Captain Quirk says
Well…. He (i.e. Trump, because in the end he’s responsible, not Rubio) didn’t tell anyone about the deal with the Houthis, or about the deal concerning the American hostage… There’s a fine line between lying and not telling the truth and I explicitly add that I did not write ‘not telling the whole truth’. So what’s up next?
gravenimage says
I think that Rubio was–foolishly–speaking honestly her as he saw it.

That’s what i expected and hope that’s really the case.. I’d like to see proof.. A lot of Americans are becoming isolationist and if you’re honest who can blame them.. They’ve been lied to and coerced by their own government for years.. Idk the answer but i am smart enough to see the real underlying problem… ISLAM.!!!!

Everyone who is honest will acknowledge that hamas has taken all of the aid and only released some to the population if they get paid.
Aid was pouring in, and the news people claimed that the ‘children were starving and dying of hunger.’
This claim of famine and dying came straight from hamas. The same hamas which was stealing the aid.
That is still the case with any aid Israel has allowed to go in, and it will continue as long as hamas terrorists are alive. and that includes the members of the ‘population’ who celebrated the strangling deaths of the babies of the Jews taken hostage nearly two years ago.

Israel is allowing aid, but has been very careful of who gets it. Israel itself is mostly responsible for getting it to the people, not to Hamas. Gaza was a shithole run by Hamas for years, living off the teat of aid from other countries, spending that money on tunnels and whatever they needed to attack Israel. Gaza was very prosperous when Israel owned it.

Rubio tells Netanyahu that Trump administration ‘troubled’ by humanitarian situation in Gaza
………………………………
Does he mean Israeli hostages being tortured, starved, raped, and murdered? Or Hamas stealing aid and using Gazans as human shields? Probably not…
tgusa says
Rubio tells Netanyahu that Trump administration ‘troubled’ by humanitarian situation among the anti humanitarians in Gaza. This is what the US military would call a SNAFU. Situation Normal All F-ed Up.
Joe1 says
This is what Rubio said, “We think that the elimination of Hamas is what achieves peace. We’re troubled by the humanitarian situation,”. In English, that means that the USA is going to give Hamas trouble (not aid). By trouble, it means they are going to be killed or captured by Israel. It is the same thing as the US ships surrounding a small island in the Pacific in WWII. Those ships are not there to feed the starving Japanese, and those ships don’t leave until “peace” is achieved.

Yes, despite the existence of food assistance programs like SNAP, **there are definitely hungry people in the U.S.** The issue is complex and is often referred to as **food insecurity**.
Here’s what the data indicates:
* **Food Insecurity:** In **2023**, **13.5 percent (18.0 million) of U.S. households** were food insecure at some point during the year. This means they had difficulty at times providing enough food for all their members due to a lack of resources. This was statistically significantly higher than the 12.8 percent in 2022.
* **Very Low Food Security:** Within the food-insecure households, **5.1 percent (6.8 million) experienced very low food security**. In these households, the normal eating patterns of one or more members were disrupted, and food intake was reduced at times because they lacked enough money or other resources for food.
* **Children:** In **2023**, **17.9 percent (6.5 million) of households with children** experienced food insecurity. In about 1.0 percent of households with children, one or more child also experienced reduced food intake and disrupted eating patterns.
* **Disparities:** Food insecurity disproportionately affects certain groups, including:
* Black and Hispanic households have rates of food insecurity more than double that of White non-Hispanic households.
* Low-income households.
* Single-parent households.
* Rural communities.
**Why does hunger exist despite food assistance?**
* **Poverty:** The root cause of food insecurity in the U.S. is largely poverty and economic hardship. Even with assistance, benefits may not always be sufficient to cover the cost of enough nutritious food throughout the month.
* **High Cost of Living:** The increasing costs of housing, healthcare, and other essentials can leave families with limited funds for food.
* **Low Wages and Unemployment:** Many individuals work in low-wage jobs that don’t provide enough income to consistently afford food, and job loss can quickly lead to food insecurity.
* **Systemic Barriers:** Historical and ongoing discrimination and unfair systems can create barriers to economic opportunity and contribute to food insecurity in marginalized communities.
* **Access to Healthy Food:** Some areas, particularly low-income and rural communities, may lack access to affordable grocery stores with nutritious options (food deserts).
* **Stigma and Awareness:** Not everyone who is eligible for food assistance programs enrolls due to stigma or lack of awareness.
While food stamps (SNAP) and other social safety net programs play a crucial role in mitigating hunger and food insecurity, they do not eliminate the problem entirely. Many individuals and families in the U.S. still struggle to afford enough food to lead healthy and active lives.

If Trump continues down this road, GOD will trump Trump! Deal or no deal, there is only one real deal- God the LORD GOD! What makes Christians, or anyone, become so proud they think they cannot be fooled- pride in arrogance! Yet, bear in mind, this could be a play of good cop/bad cop senario. Or we had an election of choice: Satan or the Devil! There is rapidly approaching a day when all the world will cry peace and prosperity but it will be destruction through God’s wrath that falls upon them. By Summer we will know…

Without details that would be extensive, from bible verses rarely ever mentioned anywhere and with a different take on many known bible verses combined with the less mentioned verses, I think major prophesy is at work now.
From the almost unmentioned restart of the cern hadron collider April 15th recently, it’s like the demons have run amok on the earth at warp speed causing a big shift and some new evil overloads rapidly in a few key places. What is now working, and I have no idea how long it will take, is Israels enemies will be crushed even though she will be wounded, and many Jews and greater number of gentiles married to them but many christians with the Jews by millions will be fleeing out of america and even Europe to Israel. Crazy events will allow them all in. Millions of Arabs in the mideast will come to Christ and know they are some of the lost tribes too. All this is close to Christs return but much just prior.
Trump does not follow God at all, but I can’t say he follows the devil directly. He may follow himself but be manipulated.
Modern Babylon is america and it’s time is almost over. Before it burns, many will flee home to their origins. It might even start with migrants going home under pressure and be followed by native born leaving too. A great exodus from america is very soon.
Trump has ignited this process.
Bret says
Sure are reading a lot into the Bible
Michael Woodman says
It’s time to wake up. Trump is not a man of principle; he is not a man guided by morals; he has instituted a system of patrimony whereby whoever pays him the most will be granted what they want – the fabulously wealthy Muslims are buying influence from Trump directly. Trump’s behaviour has only coincidental reference to the well-being of Israel and other allies – his motive is self-enrichment and self-aggrandisement. He will sell anyone out to the highest bidder. It is beyond despicable.
Readers of Jihadwatch are no strangers to looking facts in the face. We have faced the pernicious ideology of Islam and understood it for what it is, withstanding all the false arguments and obfuscation that can be mustered by the enemies of truth. We had hoped that Trump was more than a corrupt and ignorant man and upheld our faith in him but the truth is now unmistakable. He serves no cause more faithfully than that of his own enrichment. This trumps all else.
Captain Quirk says
I hate to say it, but my gut feeling is that this sums it up.
Captain Quirk says
If you’re right, I’d go so far as to say ‘This dumps all else’. Sorry…
But seriously now, folks, he appears not to distinguish between his own and the public cause (the so-called ‘res publica’). I think that that would seem to explain a lot of what’s going on.
Bret says
Trump has always looked for peace. Peace can only be achieved by making both sides happy. That is all he is doing. The only question is will Islam abide by these agreements. 1 year, 4 years or 10 years from now. It’s just like what Trump is doing in America now in this term. All would quickly end as soon as democrats regain power. He can only set up and hope that they stick to the agreement and if it’s not beneficial, they will not.
Glen R. Cook says
As long as Israel exists, Muslimswill be unhappy.
gravenimage says
Grimly true.
Michael Woodman says
I think Trump has always looked for a Nobel Peace Prize and opening up new business deals for himself and his family. This is not the same thing as trying to achieve a JUST peace for the benefit of others. For example, it’s now as plain as day that Trump is ready to throw Ukraine to the Russian wolves. He has demonstrated an outstanding callousness in this regard.
His focus is on personal relationships where he feels validated and important. Does he know any history? Does he have any respect for the kind of scholarship on which a site like Jihadwatch is based? I think not.
Bret says
Do you mean the Trump family actually building something in foreign countries or like Biden , just receiving 10 % from his son who used his dad to get on corporate boards knowing nothing. Bet you were never worried about the millions of dollars Pelosi Schumer Obama clinton and a few republicans amassed over decades from tax payers dollars, using taxpayer dollars to “fund “ corporations and nonprofits to channel money back to themselves . At least the the Trumps are building something
Captain Quirk says
‘Trump’s behaviour has only coincidental reference to the well-being of Israel and other allies.’ Well put!
Bret says
Ask The Israelis and Netanyahu who they trust. Who moved the embassy to Jerusalem?? How quickly liberals conveniently forget Coincidental. Really. He is negotiating with both sides. Obviously you never negotiated anything. You are hearing whatever this administration wants you to hear, and not a single word more except what your cohorts in the left are lying about. Remember the tariffs scare from your friends. Gee it did not happen and countries are lining up to participate. He keeps on winning and you leftists idiots continue to be wrong At some point should you all just bury your heads and realize how wrong you are about everything.
Stive says
Omg, so anyone that doesn’t agree with trump is a leftist ? Wow. Lifelong conservative christians that don’t agree with your trump view are suddenly leftists ?
This is dangerous labeling as this same attitude is how Hitler rose at the start and how eventually the antichrist will almost deceive the very Elect (Christians)
Think hard in this.
Michael Woodman says
Quite so, Stive. Bret has flown off the handle, making all sorts of assumptions about my political leanings which are actually not true. He is critical of corruption from Biden but seems to excuse it from Trump. The fact is that corruption is wrong in each case.
Goofy says
Somewhere, sometime, I read some words that impressed me: ‘two wrongs don’t make one right’. I agree with the long term goals put forth by Trump, but I’m not too keen on how he apparently tries to get there.
Bret says
Where exactly is Trumps corruption? And dangerous labeling? Are you ok from that dangerous labeling ?? Right out of the insane leftist playbook. Find your safe place
