The Pakistani deportation of Afghans has been ongoing. Some “845,000 Afghans have left Pakistan over the past 18 months,” while Pakistan says three million Afghans remain.
“Recent U.N. reports indicate that over 910,000 Afghans have been deported from the country since September 2023. The deportations have been motivated largely by officials’ frustration with the Taliban government, which they accuse of harboring Pakistani militants responsible for deadly attacks inside Pakistan.”
The deportation order came with an increase in armed attacks across Pakistan, with the Pakistani government blaming groups in Afghanistan for terrorism and drug smuggling. The Taliban government has denied this.
“Afghans Deported From Pakistan Struggle To Find Schools, Jobs, And Shelter,” by Firuza Azizi and Ray Furlong, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, April 28, 2025:
Dildar Khan says he’s spent his entire life in Pakistan but has now been sent “home” to Afghanistan under a scheme that has seen some 100,000 people deported in recent weeks.
Khan has five children between the ages of 2 and 13. “There are two girls and three boys. They were going to school,” he told RFE/RL in a phone interview.
But Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers have canceled secondary education for girls since they retook power in 2021.
“It is difficult, very difficult. Because it is important that they are educated,” added Khan.
The Pakistani authorities announced a mass deportation campaign in March, accusing Afghans of links to drug smuggling and terrorism.
Other deported Afghans who spoke to RFE/RL also voiced concern about the impact it would have on their children.
“Our children are sad they cannot go to school,” said Khan Zaman after being forcibly returned to Kabul from Peshawar in northwest Pakistan….

Roughly a million? Where’s the activist judiciary, so essential to countering every move made in a nation’s real interest? Where are all the appointed judges who will overrule leadership and defy laws and the will of the people in order to keep the country stuffed with dangerous entrants? Where’s the msm, whose only job it is to lie and cover for every globalist nation-destroying move?
Are you telling me that Pakistan is more functional than the US?

Essentially, Pakistan doesn’t want to be completely taken over by Pashtuns, which would strengthen the claims of Afghanistan on Pashtun areas of Pakistan – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Quetta and other parts of Balochistan. They know that the Pashtuns are capable of outnumbering them, so they’ve acted just in time
I know it’s muslim vs muslim & not much to choose from, but I’d pick Pakis over Afghans on this issue
